Big Lots

Yup. I still come back even when products and services were bad after my initial review. Few months after the holidays, staff got upgraded. They became little friendlier and willing to help customers.
In 2015, they kept the seasonal specials throughout. I read every advertisement came to my inbox. However, I would only come back when I receive a 20% off coupon. There isn’t anything special to buy at Big Lots stores. I could find better price, quality and selections at other stores.
Ah, one exception. I helped my coworker who heard about my money-​saving techniques but never believe how it worked. Last Christmas, I used my coupon to buy his family’s first Christmas tree. The price was so ridiculously low with discount on top of another discount. End result, everyone was happy.

What’s that? You need a serving platter for Thanksgiving dinner, some new holiday themed decorations, and a bag of kitty litter, all while staying on a budget? Look no further than Big Lots! They have TONS of items, and my husband and I come here especially for cheap holiday decorations — I mean, who wants to spend $ 50 on a stupid ceramic turkey when you can spend $ 10 and get a plastic one that lights up! Ok, I made the $ 10 turkey part up, but seriously, I bought all our Halloween décor here the day before Halloween, and it was already marked 25% off– making it SUPER cheap. During the Christmas season the whole back part of the store is transformed to a winter wonderland with outdoor décor, wrapping supplies, lights, trees, and everything else you’d need to make the season bright — all at a discounted cost.
They change their décor seasonally, so if you don’t find what you’re looking for right now, check again in a few months. Chances are they’ve changed what they’re offering. The last time a was here (end of March) they had just brought out their Summer décor, which is beach themed this year (yay). They had pillows, mirrors, art work, shiny table decorations, and more –all at a great price, especially when you compare to similar items at stores like Macy’s or even Kohls.
They carry a wide variety of items, from some groceries, decorations, tableware, furniture, cleaning supplies, toys, and even clothing, so if you’ve never been poke around a bit and see what the big deal is with Big Lots. It might not be designer, but for the price it’s some of the best I’ve found.

How can you NOT like Big Lots? It sells items you’d find at other big box stores but for cheaper. This location is fairly new, so it’s still pretty clean and organized.
Right now, they have a great selection of garden décor for the summer. They consistently have good deals on pet food. I bought our cats’ Iam’s food in a 40 lb bag (usually $ 10 at Target for a small bag) for $ 25 and this bag of food has lasted 6 months! I also happened to be shopping on a Sunday where they were offering 20% off your entire purchase. They do this promotion once every couple of months and I definitely stop in on those 20% off days.
They also carry canned and nonperishable food items. I’ve found that Big Lots has the best prices on nuts and dried fruit. My almonds and dried cranberries are $ 1.50 a bag here, whereas grocery stores charge $ 2.99 or more. I have a pretty good memory when it comes to pricing groceries, so it’s easy for me to compare and only buy what is truly cheaper here.
When you’ve got some time, poke around in Big Lots and if you don’t buy anything, at least note some of the prices and see if you can in fact save yourself some money on household goods or nonperishables.

I’ve found so many deals at the Big Lots in Missouri City.. . this one was a little disappointing. Some of the items I thought about buying had an inflated price tag. The one item I did buy did not work, so I will be returning it pronto!!! This store feels pretty crowded too, so it doesn’t really make me want to shop.
