The breakfast was good I only tried it once. The food is good, I’ve tried most of the menu. The bbq chicken sandwich is awesome and so is the crawfish bread. Oh and the drink are right too.

First, I was so happy to see they’ve gotten additional parking since my last visit over a year ago. I couldn’t remember why I hadn’t been back here until yesterday. I was in the area and starving so I went for the weekend brunch. Fish and grits: the fish was bland, the grits were lumpy or perhaps I should say solid(think day old grits for proper analysis) and barely warm. The side of bread was saturated in butter BUT the hash browns were good. They seemed to be under staffed as my waitress while very warm and welcoming, seemed to be stretched thin judging from the time it took her to bring condiments, the receipt after running my debit card. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll return although, the service has gotten better the food has not.

Worst fucking establishment ever. Been eating here for years and now… The service AND food are piss poor. Especially compared to what it USED to be. I make a point to support black-owned businesses but when you hire asinine waitstaff and chef’s who can’t read recipes… What do you expect? The food is overpriced and undercooked. Horribly prepared and the service is even worse. Words actually do not properly articulate my disgust, disdain, and disappointment for this establishment. I’m disappointed to have spent the amount of money I have here over the years. If I had the money, I’d buy this piece of shit and transform it. But… I’m no miracle worker. I hope you go out of business.

I’m a bit ridiculous when it comes to this place. I lived down the street and had to pass it on my way home. I clearly ate here far more often than I should have. I’m big fan of the catfish. It’s flavorful without being fishy. The drinks are tasty. The turkey burger is pretty good for Texas(don’t ask. I tried a lot of things on the menu). The service is not awesome. It’s often slow and a bit unorganized. As a result I rarely ate in unless I sat at the bar or was at brunch with a friend. Mostly I did call ahead carry out avoiding the service issue all together, hence the 4 stars. Those are about the food. You should go, but don’t go in a hurry.

This place has progressively gotten worse over the years. When a friend and I went for lunch today, my friend was informed 10 – 15 minutes later that they did not have any tuna. I’m assuming they searched every shelf for a can of albacore to no avail. We were served mozzarella sticks, but informed that the«marinara was being prepared». I’m sure that was code for, they were opening a can of spaghetti sauce. At least 5 of the mozzarella sticks were missing mozzarella. I mean completely empty! I asked the waiter did they know they were going to be open for business today. Not his fault, he did convey our concerns to management. Instead of the manager on duty(female), coming to speak with us she sent a message via the waiter. Huge disappointment. I won’t be going back!

Don’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside, it looked like a small café style spot. The inside screamed nice cozy spot. The service was great. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was yummy. Delicious chunks of chicken seasoned perfectly. It was sooooo good. I would def hit this spot again. The only thing was the restroom situation. There is one stall for men and women so I can imagine the wait must be crazy when they are busy.

I’ve never had problem with customer service on the weekends but during the week, we can never get service, other than that, I love the place, the drinks and the food. I recommend the crawfish bread.

Beaucoup is a nice place for breakfast; I had the french toast, cheese grits and crispy bacon. The french toast was a great consistency and just the right level of sweetness. The bacon was turkey bacon which stuck together after the grease dried, but it’s bacon, so it’s a win. The cheese grits were so-so. The staff was courteous and attentive. Would definitely come back here.

I enjoyed my experience in this establishment. The staff was quite comical and entertaining. We ordered the catfish/shrimp dinner and the crawfish bread. The fish and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The shrimp were real gulf creatures. They were a nice size and didn’t appear to be something frozen and pre-battered from a bag. They were actually very good. The crawfish bread was a real treat. I wish it would have been a bit warmer, but it was still pretty tasty. The highlight of the meal was the lagniappe tea which is a strawberry passion beverage. The drink comes in the restaurant’s own bottle which I thought was pretty cool. The only thing I really felt was missing was the hot sauce. I’m a New Orleans girl and I need my hot sauce. I did not see one bottle in sight. The staff was not the most attentive as they are a bit disorganized, but they are welcoming and entertaining at the same time.

Good food, nice ambiance, good drinks. I’ve been visiting since they first opened and have tried to support them through the construction and expansion of the dining area. I guess I would give them more stars if they were more consistent. I never know what to expect in terms of customer service or dining. Food and drinks are inconsistent — but when it’s good, it’s good! And it takes a while to get seated and then takes forever to get your food. The wings and the catfish and grits are my favorites.

I have frequented The OST location of Beaucoup’s for the 3 years I’ve lived in Houston and I need to take a moment to let you know the recent activity at the restaurant is beyond horrendous. I went two months ago, and brought a friend from out of town… our server was inattentive, distracted, forgot our drinks for almost 35 minutes, and messed up our very simple orders. I brought my boyfriend and his daughter a month ago… we had no server for 15 minutes, the man who did finally come to our table brought us water… forgot our drinks, never placed our order, and eventually went off shift and a new server came over to repeat the process we had already begun 45 minutes prior. I was informed on this evening that there was a change in management and that’s why there was so much chaos with the servers, kitchen, etc… On Monday, 4⁄20 I decided to try the new location off Richmond… only to find out they aren’t even open during the week, only during the weekend, even though nothing on the site indicates any such thing. I had to call the OST location to be informed of the change in hours. And then… Last night. Tuesday evening I went to the old location hoping things had settled down with the new opening of the Richmond location, so maybe management had settled, and new and dedicated staff was on hand… and I was incorrect. My friend informed me of the VERY rude and inappropriate behavior she had encountered earlier that week when she tried to indulge in the ‘customer appreciation week’ and the woman who claimed she was the manager told her, despite very clearly worded messaging from your Instagram page, that customer appreciation week was only for a day… even though the message said WEEK. I ordered a bottle of wine. 45 minutes later I noticed the bottle of wine that is advertised as a ‘wine tasting’ wine was gone on the front counter(so who knows how long it had been sitting there in direct, after I was told I couldn’t taste the wine; I instead had to order the bottle I still had no wine. A 3rd woman informed me she was embarrassed to say there was no wine opener in the building and they had spent that time trying to open the wine. This is after 45 minutes of telling me the wine was chilling, but I ordered a red wine that is supposed to be served room temperature. When the waitress confessed there was no corkscrew my friend said she had a corkscrew in the car, so we retrieved it, and finally the bottle came to the table. We were given champagne flutes that had water spots, dirt residue, and past guest lip marks on them and had to ask for plastic cups for our bottle of wine. Then our waitress came over and said ‘I’m embarrassed to even say this… but… my manager wants to know if she can borrow your wine opener for another table’s bottle…‘ We had experienced so many issues up to this point I told the waitress to tell the manger to come to the table, and the first rude waitress came over and identified herself as the manager. I would hope she’s not the manager, because her behavior during past visits was deplorable and out right rude. When it came time to order dinner we were told a good amount of the items on the menu weren’t actually available. I was told specifically the black bean patty, hush puppies, spinach, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes fries had run out… but when I ordered my meal it came out wrong and lo and behold there was a black bean patty(I ordered a turkey patty), my friend ordered catfish(she got tilapia and hushpuppies) and another ordered a cheese burger and received a turkey burger. The only orders that came out correctly were the chicken wings and French fries. The service was horrible and we had to request a new server. The initial waitress we had, who never furnished her name, came to the table when I asked to speak to a manager, but the second woman who was our waitress informed our party earlier that there was no manager on staff. We were also told there was no bartender and that evening the restaurant was very understaffed. After being in the food industry myself for 9 years I know very well the ins and outs of restaurant functionality and nothing about last evening represented the brand that is Beaucoup in a positive light. I’m disappointed that this is how your business has declined and how it is being represented after the stellar spot it has held in my, and my friends, hearts.

I have driven by this place a thousand times and never noticed it until one of my coworkers told me about it. Came on a weekend only to find it’s closed on the weekends(they have another location open on the weekends) but came back during the weekday and this place is awesome. Fyi servers are a little slow.

I must say since I started food blogging, I haven’t been this excited and impressed with a restaurant yet. This place has such a fun, vibrant, let your hair down kind of atmosphere. There was a live DJ there when I went, playing great music, and the customer service was excellent. Did I mention the great food??? Their crawfish bread is my recommendation, you must try it!!! I am dissappointed at the restaurant. They did not run out of business, but… THEY now open Monday — Friday 11am(I think) — 6pm only… I brought my bf on Friday at 7.30pm, and it’s closed!!! I am very very dissapointed. I liked this place, the last time I came here was with my coworkers and I would really like my boyfriend to try this place. Since now they only open on Weekdays… and BUSINESSHOURS… that means he WILL never get to taste how awesome this place is. I AMVERYDISAPPOINTED :(

The food is GREAT! Went here for brunch before a friends wedding. The wait time is expected at a restaurant of this caliber. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits along with the mimosas. All the food my friends ordered was hot and fresh as well. Service was great and when in Houston I will definitely return!

I patronized Beaucoup before joining Unilocal and couldn’t remember why I hadn’t gone back. That is, until I was reminded during a recent visit. If you like great drinks(sometimes) and horrible customer service, this is the place for you! It took OVERANHOUR after we ordered to receive our food. Plus, my Hurricane had way too much syrup in it. I’m not 100% sold on the food, either. The first time I went, I had the crawfish bread, which was good. This time, I had the buffalo shrimp salad, which was downright nasty. The shrimp was extremely salty because they used cajun seasoning salt AND buffalo sauce seasoning. The flavors absolutely did not mesh well together. I couldn’t stand it after a few mouthfuls. Lastly, they should reconsider using bowls instead of plates. The salad portion that they provide is rather massive, and though it looks nice, it’s hard to mix all of the ingredients together without food falling off your plate. They were also stingy with the dressing. The best part of my visit? When they comped us for our drinks to compensate for the ridiculous wait time for the food. I only plan to return here if someone else is paying!

Oh Beaucoup, yum yum yum. About a year ago when I first started my current job, my boss took me here for lunch. And since then, this has been a place I frequent. We also often order catering from here, which is always on time and delicious! My first meal here was the jerk tilapia sandwich and it has been my favorite. The fish is seasoned just right and they put all kinds of yummy stuff in the sandwich to make it SO good. Man oh man. It comes with a heap of fries too. Most of the time I can only eat about half of the meal, and take the rest to go. Through their catering service I’ve tried the chicken strips, jambalaya pasta(I don’t eat pork and I LOVE that this is made with beef sausage), dirty rice, green tea lemonade(or was it strawberry green tea? whatever it was, it was great!), and other things I can’t remember now. Everything is usually delicious. The only thing I didn’t like was their salad. It was great on top, but then once you get deeper(we ordered a huge size for 10 – 15 people), it’s not as fresh. Although their catering salad wasn’t the best, I can get past that. The main reason I knocked off one star is because their small order delivery wasn’t that great. My boss and I ordered delivery just for the two of us, and my jerk tilapia sandwich was very soggy, and the fries weren’t up to par. The salad wasn’t fresh either. I’ll stick to catering for a large group, or dining in! Overall, I love this place and will be returning many many times!

I have been wanting to try this place out for a while. Tonight I was in the area and stopped by for dinner. Here are my observations… first of all parking can be tenuous. They have a small fenced parking lot behind the restaurant but not all of it usable due to some large potholes. There is very limited parking in front. Next to the restaurant is Guys Meat Market but it’s parking is for its use only. Towing signs are clearly marked. Your only other parking option is on a street next to the restaurant. Not good. I ordered the crawfish bread and seafood gumbo. $ 8 for each. When the food arrived the crawfish bread was large and very good. A 4 in my mind. The gumbo had two shrimps in it. Otherwise it was your stand chicken and sausage gumbo with a big piece of French Bread. For $ 2 less you could get the regular gumbo so those shrimp were a buck a piece. The gumbo was good but wasn’t what was advertised as other seasonal seafood was supposed to be in it. My service was average. Overall I am giving the meal a 3. Perhaps I will come back and try something else and perhaps not. Also this can be a noisy restaurant. I would not recommend the seafood gumbo but would recommend the regular gumbo and of course the crawfish bread. I would like to try one of their po boys next time or seafood plates.
