I love Baskin Robbins but this has got to be the worst experience I’ve ever had. Walking in I was already annoyed by the music they were playing. Like hello there’s kids in here. Why do you have on 97.9 the box. Anyways, there was one guy working in the front and two other people playing around in the back of the store. There was a mother and her son waiting to be helped. Knowing that he saw me, he knew I was next in line so I stood near the register. Then came another family of 4. And the guy probably felt overwhelmed so he signaled someone from the back to come out to help him. The girl came out and walked straight to the family of 4 when clearly I was next. I came over and said«excuse me, I was next» and the girl replied«oh, the line starts this way» Are you kidding me? The mother and her son stood in front of a flavor that they wanted to eat so does that mean I have to tailgate them the whole process? Your job was supposed to scan your area and ask me if I’ve been helped. if you weren’t horse playing in the back and standing in front doing your job you would know I was next in line. Seriously, how do these people even get hired. I will only go to the location on WESTHEIMER from now on.

The ice cream is delicious, but they close their doors half an hour earlier than what their business hours say and they’ll turn people away. Limited selection after 9pm

As a child, going for a special ice cream cone always seemed like a treat. I guess as an adult, my eye is more critical. This Baskin Robbins is just a tired mess. There’s no comfortable seating really. There are a few chairs outside(and what is the temperature outside now???) facing the concrete parking lot and noisy Gessner. I’ve bought ice-cream cakes there in the past, but they seem quite stale and just not tasty. Frankly, I’ve always wondered how this place stays in business.

My all time favorite memory as a child was receiving an ice cream cake for my birthday. We would always get a cake from BR. BR always seemed so magical and the place where my wishes were met. Now that I’m an adult, BR just seems like your average ice cream joint. BR is right next to a taco shop. Nothing too fancy about the neighborhood. Dude, what is up with all the potholes on Gessner? The shop is small with only 5 or so tables inside and a few tables outside. I didn’t think the employees were that nice. They were more concerned with their teenage kids hanging around the shop. There were a ton of flavors. I estimated 30 flavors that your taste buds will bound to like. I tried out their $ 2 strawberry and almond ice cream. It’s a small serving that uses strawberry preservatives. There was nothing spectacular to it. I think McDonald’s strawberry sundaes taste a lot better. BR is your average ice cream shop. I can’t rave about it though. I took a peek at the ice cream cakes to see the price range. The cake ranged anywhere from $ 9.99-$ 29.99 depending on the size. Check out the Houston Chronicle on Sundays because I’ll often find a coupon for BR. Recently, there was one for B1G1 and a $ 5 off an ice cream cake. Unfortunately, I didn’t find out about the coupon until after I went there. Don’t you hate that?
