Went by today, 9÷29÷14, and they had already closed. This place was phenomenal and I am really disappointed to see them close the Hot Springs location.

So good! If we get food from the grill we will get a burrito or nacho and share them. The flavors had always been well positioned and we enjoyed the flavors of the guac and various salsas. The highlight for us is always the ice cream and sorbets. It’s the best ice cream that I’ve ever had. I try to sample a new flavor every time but key lime will always have my heart. The watermelon sorbet is just absolutely delicious and is a must try if you enjoy fresh water melon. The horchata is always good too!

The food was just slightly better than Taco Bell, but not as good as Freebirds. The marinated pork was not very flavorful, nor was it soft like it had been cooked low and slow. The steak was a bit tough. The strawberry aqua fresca did not taste like strawberry. The hot sauce, olives, and beans had no flavor. The queso on the nachos was thin and ran down to puddle at the bottom of the bowl. The best thing we had was the mexican pizza and even that was relatively flavorless. This is not even average TexMex. This is one step up from cheap food, served slowly. For example, the mango salsa should be brightly flavored with some bite to it instead of just being chunks of mango. The line was short but very slow. They only have two people working food prep, one of whom did most of the work, so it was practically a single person getting all the food put together. Then the ice cream was equally disappointing. The brownie ice cream was overly sweet, the paleta had little flavor… in fact, none of the ice cream was even as good as you can get at the store. Ben & Jerry’s or Haagen Dazs are way better. It’s nice to see some interesting flavors like avocado, rose, and strawberry/jalapeño, but if the ice cream isn’t good then it doesn’t matter.

I had already book marked Nom Noms when I found a certain coupon, before our trip. I am so glad I chose this little restaurant. I entered, and the staff were incredibly happy. I ordered, and glanced at their ice cream, which they make there. For dinner I had a burrito bowl: Chicken, rice, lettuce, basic burrito bowl. At the bottom of the bowl, they put a burrito. Quite similar to Chipolte, except for the ice cream. For dessert, half watermelon, half key lime pic ice cream. The food was really good. I later asked the staff for a place to fill the car with gas. This is when I was told how unsafe and weird Hot Springs really was… hmm…I’d think twice about staying in Hot Springs, but if you do, stop at Nom Nom’s atleast for ice cream.

This place is TERRIFIC!!! I live in Memphis and my family has had a place here in Hot Springs for almost 40 years. I wanted to try a new restaurant and did not want a chain so I looked here on Unilocal and found Nom Noms. We are so glad we did! The food was terrific and the staff friendly. My wife and I both had Burritos which were HUGE. The boys both had tacos. The food and ingredients are fresh. For dessert my youngest had the Paleta and the rest of the family had their ice cream. Again, the ice cream was delicious. We will definitely be back.

After finding this as a top rating in the area on Unilocal we stopped in for dinner. As mentioned its similar to a Chipotle where you build your own meal. Food was and service were top notch. We were too full for the ice cream but they have quite the selection.

We came by just for the ice cream. The lady who was helping me at the ice cream area was very nice.(Working on 7⁄5 at 10 pm) She told me her favorite ice cream was avocado and it was a so good! I also got the Strawberry crème(yummy!) and German chocolate(good). Thanks for the recommendation. I’m a fan. Next time I have to try the ice cream bars!

I’m so glad that a local referred us to Nom Nom’s for ice cream. We’d driven past it a few times, but never thought to stop. It’s in an old Taco Bell restaurant, but everything has been updated/refreshed inside so it’s all brightly colored and very clean. Where you’d normally order food, they have Mexican fast food options, but then in the middle of the dining room, there’s an ice cream bar. The employees are very friendly and helpful, and they offer you samples of their many unique flavors of ice cream. This is what I expect from a place that makes their own ice cream: flavors that you don’t find anywhere else, like strawberry jalapeño(which was very yummy, by the way). I ended up with something like a banana cream pie, but wished I had gone with the strawberry jalapeño even though I’m not crazy for strawberry ice cream. The banana one was delicious, though, don’t get me wrong! I actually just wanted a little bit of every unique flavor they offered. While I can’t comment about the hot foods Nom Nom’s offers, I can highly recommend Nom Nom’s for ice cream — for flavor, for variety, for price, for friendliness, and for cleanliness. In fact, because they had so many fun flavor combinations, I’d recommend them over Scoops.

An incredible discovery while on a roadtrip through Arkansas. As a frequent traveler, meals run the risk of becoming as fuel-oriented as gas station stops – «I don’t care about the brand, I just need enough energy to get to my destination.» Nom-nom’s amazing sign pulled us right off the road into what I can safely say was our best meal under $ 10 in Arkansas. The not-so-huge burrito vies for the best price: quality:quantity ratios in America. The homemade paletas should be as much a reason to visit Hot Springs as the actual hot springs.

It was ok. No one was really attending the ice cream counter and when we did pay the recipt printer didn’t work. I had coffee & Nutella brownie. Both were good. My husband had cookies & cream which was just ok, and snickers which neither of us liked(didn’t even have chunks of snickers. more like ground up little specks). Maybe we should have gotten paletas. *shrug*

What does«nom nom» mean? From Urban Dictionary– verb 1. to eat with extreme delight 2. to nibble on something litte if specified 1. noise made when food is f***ng good u wanna show everybody ______________ I admit i was a cynic. This place is an old Taco Bell converted into a burrito and ice cream place. The interior is so confusing it is hillarious. Tin walls and country music appeal to customers in boots. The logo and tiki grass appeal to customers in sandals. The entrance says«bienvenidos» which is Spanish and whatever shoes they wear. The cartoon mascot has three colors– purple in the entrance, light blue above the ice cream, and dark blue on the wall. I am pretty sure hispanic children are chasing Mr. Nom Nom. I am fixated on this mascot. What is he? He might be the pothead brother of Sully from Monsters Inc? The food here is amazing. This is a build your own burrito place similar to Freebirds or Chipotle. The salsa stands out because it is homemade and tasty. The burrito is made with high quality meats and fresh toppings. This place is the perfect definition of Nom Nom!

Bad service !!! If they wore name tags I could tell you who but when I spend 25 dollars for two burritos I think you should treat me nicer. If I wanted to be treated like crap I’d stay home with my husband! When i said my order was incorrect I didn’t know NOMNOM’s policy is no complaining because nobody did anything to correct it. They acted like too bad.

BESTDESSERTPLACEEVER!!! Remember when ur mom taught u to never judge a book by it’s cover. Well, she was talkin bout this place. A front for fast food Mexican, it’s real allure should b the amazingly homemade ice creams and sorbet. The selection was astronomical. There was jalapeño strawberry, Nutella, mango, carrot cake just to name a few. We narrowed it down to kiwi sorbet, watermelon sorbet, and avocado ice cream. It was like biting right into the real fruit, the freshest ingredients. Nothing beat the kiwi sorbet. We still dream about traveling back just to get that. We loved it so much, we told the workers that they should expand their business to our town: Los Angeles! Seriously, there would b lines out the door.

Had an awesome Mexican pizza! It’s like a big quesadilla stuffed with deliciousness! They come early every day to prep all the fresh veggies, frijoles and meats for the tacos, burritos etc. Just love the fresh mex here.

I scream for Nom Nom ice cream. I loved the banana cream pie ice cream! we are only passing through Hot Springs but next time I will totally eat here, food looks great. The maple bacon was awesome, had bits of bacon! Avocado was a little over rated in the other reviews, I think. The strawberry jalapeño was good but not my favorite. It reminded me of jelly.

The hubby and I stopped here for some dessert after reading all the great reviews. I am super impressed that you can actually get Paletas in Hot Springs. I’m from Las Vegas and we have La Flor de Michoacan. The paletas here are just as yummy. I had the Mango con Chile which was delish. There was a local side eyeing my choice but hey, don’t knock it til you try it. The mango tasted fresh and juicy. The juxtaposition of heat of the chile and the cold temperature of the paleta was interesting. The hubby had the kiwi ice cream and tamarindo ice cream… which I think isn’t really«ice cream» since it is non-dairy. The kiwi was alright but the tamarindo was so good. Sour but not overpowering at all. We are in town for another week and we are definitely coming back in for more. Staff was super friendly! The free wi-fi is a nice touch. We were just going to take our treats to go but ended up staying to use the wi-fi.

Hot Springs continues to amaze us with unique little gems like Nom Noms. Our foursome stopped in for dinner this evening and were all impressed by the friendly service and tasty treats we enjoyed here. I had the Mexican pizza with grilled chicken and lots of goodies like black olives, onion, chipotle cream cheese and cilantro. The fun of Nom Noms is choosing as many fresh ingredients as you want and creating your own Mexican masterpiece. As if having great entrees was not enough, then we all had delicious homemade ice cream for dessert. They offer something like 40 different flavors and some of them are kind of wild. What fun!

Again Hot Spring surprises me. This place is incredible! I luv it that they have tons of flavors, none of which are your garden variety. It was so good that I returned here again for dessert. They let you sample, so i got to try a lot. First of all, rose petal, which seems to be pretty popular with Unilocalers here, reminds me of potpourri, which I do not want in my mouth. Secondly, how is it that avocado is not a highlighted item here?! I’m Viet, so I think avocado shakes are the bomb! It never occurred to me to put it into ice cream form before, but heck, yes! This is almost as good, just a little less sweet(haha, how is that possible). Anyways, my husband(who’s the big ice cream monster in the relationship) has settled on coconut, mango, and avocado as his flavors of choice. I think that strawberry jalapeño is pretty unique: surprises you with a kick after the fruity sweetness. Nom Nom’s…luv the name, luv the treats… will be back to try more than just the ice cream.

Possibly our best experience in Hot Springs. Only reason we dropped by is because we were waiting for our pizza, and I thought the monster logo was cute. I thought this was drive-through Mexican fast food like a Taco Bell, but it’s actually all fruit bars, aqua frescas, and ice cream! The inside is really clean. And the employees are all friendly and good looking. The prices are really reasonable, too. They have probably 30+ varieties of fruit bars($ 1.50 each). We got one that had real fruit frozen in orange juice. The fig one also looked good. Yeah, we only got one bar. We didn’t want to ruin our dinner. But man, I wish we got more.
