Waffle House may be America’s best known diner chain. As a lover of diners, I usually visit one or 2 when I am traveling by car. They are usually found on the outskirts of small towns, but I would certainly go to an urban Waffle House. Straight up, inexpensive diner menu in a bright, clean environment. At this location — excellent service, good food, and interesting conversation with a local in the next booth. Wherever you travel, WH is a good place to have a good breakfast and get in touch with local culture.
