I’m a huge fan of Sushi restaurants, and this particular establishment has definitely made it up to one of my top choices. Not only is the sushi fresh and tasteful(which is a bit hard to find during the summer), but also the service is excellent as well! The servers and hosts are welcoming as they seat and serve you in a very well decorated interior. From their sushi to their dinner bento boxes and even to the basics such as their miso soup and salad; everything was delicious and appetizing. Also, I would HIGHLY recommend their fried banana with ice cream desert. It is slightly different than other fried banana dishes, as the breading on the banana is light crispy and flaky. Very delicious. Will definitely be back for more sushi & desserts!

My husband and I just ate dinner here this evening. We were quite impressed! Their space was recently renovated and apparently improved significantly based on older reviews. Clean, nicely decorated, great service, and byob! Fairly good prices as well. I had ‘knockout 2′ and gyoza soup, which were delicious and large portions. Will definitely be back!

Sushiwa is an excellent option in an area where excellent options are few and far between. It is a quaint little spot with great service and an even better menu. We started with gyoza which was excellent. My boyfriend got a bento box dinner with teriyaki steak which he really enjoyed. The bento box has to be the best deal in town for all that you get with it. I got a sushi combination dinner. Everything was so fresh and fabulous, and also a great deal for all the sushi you get. Next time I go I want to start trying the specialty rolls which all sounded creative and delicious. But I certainly recommend the sampler as a great way to try a bit of everything. Oh, and BYOB status!

Excellent neighborhood sushi bar. Is a BYOB. Went last night with my dad and really enjoyed everything as usual. The new space feels so much bigger. The staff is friendly and attentive. My favorite is the sushi is the right size. Not too thick and not a ton of rice. We really loved the steam shrimp dumplings.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We actually really miss going here since we’ve moved! We’ve been here over a dozen times. We have taken our friends there and they all love it. It is a BYOB place and they serve very fresh sashimi and signature rolls. We always stick with our yellowtail jalapeño appetizer, which comes with slivers of hamachi topped with a ponzu sauce with jalapeño and masago. We will usually switch up which rolls we get to try a little of everything and they have all been fantastic. I always get the sashimi entrée as well so we ended up splitting everything. They have great lunch specials too. The hostess is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known and since we frequented this place so much, they actually started recognizing us and make us feel welcomed every time.

Just a decent Japanese restaurant. Everyone enjoys their sushi differently. Not every roll, sushi, or sashimi will suit your palate. However on a positive note, the green tea is good with your meal(for those of you who enjoy a nice cup of tea). Also, the Hawaiian Roll is typically a good choice for those who do not like rolls that are«too fishy.» And the Tempura Udon was average. Service: B+ Food: B+ Cost: B Location: B

Had a fantastic meal of the Scorpio roll, the Hunger Games roll, the White Tiger, the Tuna Sundae and a couple of other rolls that were wonderful! We forgot that it was BYOB, so remember that when you come! Service was great and I would highly recommend stopping by!

If you’re looking for a night of food poisoning look no further than Sushiwa. While on a work trip a colleague and I stopped here. Restaurant ambiance was nice service seemed good. A few hours after returning to our hotel we both became very ill. Will never make the mistake of eating sushi on a business trip.

Almost a year after my first review, we count Sushiwa as our favorite place for a local date night. Every time we go, we leave raving about the sushi. Our newest favorite is the special Happy Roll: spicy tuna and avocado with pepper tuna on top. So good! This is a little thing, but I also love the green tea, which is made with a tea diffuser and just perfect. The outstanding food is not to be discounted, but my favorite part of going to Sushiwa might be how the sushi chef always greets you when you arrive and says goodbye when you leave. It’s a personal touch that we love, especially now that we are semi-regulars. Tonight we got my tea, an appetizer, a special roll, and three regular rolls and the tab was just over $ 40. You can’t beat it. Just go!

I would give sushiwa 4.5 stars if I could. This is the best sushi I have had in the area. I’ve eaten here many times for lunch and dinner. Specialty rolls are great. Magna Carta roll and Ocean Scallop are my favorite. Great colors, textures, and complimenting flavors. It would be nice to see some variety(new menu options/specials) occasionally, as the menu has been fixed for at least the last year or so.

Awesome service and great sushi! :) I love the Bento box at lunch and for dinner. I usually get the spicy chicken bento box or the chicken teriyaki, both are very good :) the momochi ice cream is also my favorite I like the vanilla and green tea momochi! It’s a must try! One of the best sushi place around :) The dragon roll is very good and I really enjoyed the hunger game roll, it’s really big so bring your appetite :)

Usually come here for group work lunches, and have been about 3 times so far. Each time has been a great experience with amazing service! They have delicious seaweed salad, very fresh sushi options, amazing special rolls(Dragon Roll and Hunger Games Roll were HUGE hits in our group), and the hot tea is a must. They also have some great lunch combination specials and the food comes our really fast so doing a lunch is never a problem. The place inside is very small… maybe 25 total? So if you are bringing a group I would suggest to call ahead and show up early.

Sushiwa is located in a small strip of stores just off of Norristown Road in Horsham. The interior of the restaurant is very small but the tables are setup in a way that gives you plenty of room to enjoy your meal. The restaurant was very clean and the décor was warm and inviting. We were seated right as we walked in and there was only one other table filled. Our waitress came over and took our drink order as we perused the menu. I had looked over the photos on Unilocal and their rolls looked so good we ordered(4) and didn’t try any Sasihmi. The(4) rolls we ordered were: Shrimp Tempura New Rainbow Hunger Games Yellowtail Jalapeño Grande The presentation of each roll was fantastic. The taste however was sub par. The spicy tuna used in some of the rolls was very bland, had too much mayo and the tuna was pureed. The New Rainbow and Yellowtail had heaping portions of tobiko on top and while this looked nice it was overkill. The Hunger Games roll was decent but not great. Our waitress only came over one time after we received our meals. We had to grab more soy off another table and my drink wasn’t refilled until we were just about finished eating. The high rating is misleading. Most of the reviews are from reviewers that only have a handful of reviews. There was only(1) elite review and it was spot on at 2 stars. Our bill was around $ 50. I will not be back.

Good first experience at Sushiwa for NYE. The location is hidden in an un-popular strip mall in Horsham(next to the Wawa on Horsham Rd). The inside consists of about bout 10 tables and a small sushi counter with a handful of chairs. The small space didn’t stop people from coming in and out for dine-in and take out. Sushi tasted fresh and well presented. Prices were reasonable as well and it’s BYOB. The only negatives were that our server seemed to be fairly new so not really knowledgeable or attentive as the other one working that night. Also the dinner box(at least the veg and shrimp tempura one) wasn’t worth ordering again.

Excellent food and amazing service. The staff is truly very friendly and caring. The waitress made sure we were always taken care of, especially our two year old daughter. I couldn’t ask for a better Japanese restaurant.

Best Sushi in Horsham! I have tried other sushi restaurants in the area, but now I have a new favorite place. The specialty rolls at this restaurant are amazing — the fish is always very fresh! The restaurant is always clean, the staff couldn’t be friendlier and the service is outstanding! So, if you’re looking for an outstanding sushi place, give Sushiwa a try!

My girlfriend and I had just moved to the suburbs from Philadelphia when we discovered this place. She and I were used to being spoiled by the variety of sushi places right around the corner from our house, so we were desperate to find something nearby. I chose to check out Sushiwa based on the many positive reviews I found online and was not disappointed. Everything is really fresh, and it is obvious they take pride in their food. It seems like the batter they use for tempura is made in house, as it actually tastes fresh and clean– not oily like most fried food. The service is fantastic. While I’d say we’ve gone there less than ten times in the past five months they always remember who we are(try getting that good of service in Philly). Last month my parents took me there for my birthday and without even saying a word we were given Edamame and Green Tea ice cream on the house to celebrate. In some reviews I’ve seen people say that the restaurant seems crammed or too small, but I would disagree. Yes, it is a small space, but they have used light furniture and wall décor to make it feel more open. I love everything about this place and hope to see them stick around for awhile(at least as long as I live in Horsham.)

Best sushi place in the suburbs. I’ve been to many sushi restaurants in the area, but this place really tastes fresh and allows you to customize the rolls. I love spicy tuna roll, but this place introduced me to one even better by using avocado and crunch! Not only is their sushi great, but so are their bento boxes. The bento box portions for lunch and dinner offer more than enough food. Great deal for the price. In conclusion, this place has fresh and tasty food for very reasonable prices. Plus the staff, and the owner Kevin are very friendly.
