Back In Thyme Herb Farm & Kitchen

Great food! All homemade and with a quirky touch. I had a lemon garlic chicken sandwich with roasted veggies and provolone and garlic mashed potatoes on the side. All the veggies were roasted to perfection and perfectly seasoned with excellent home grown spices. The owner was super friendly and clearly has a passion for the food she prepares. Verrryy small inside but we sat comfortably with 4 people. Definitely have to make this small out of the way local spot a lunch stop favorite on my way down 95 south.

Marne is so sweet. And she makes delicious food. We stumbled upon this place while driving through RI. Good food, good prices, warm and welcoming. Like visiting your favorite Aunt’s home!

Hard to believe a place like this exists. Obscure. Remote. Tiny! (Three tables). Spotless. The sweet, friendly owner prepares every bit of the food herself. It’s like going home to have your mother cook for you. A Euro-​style roadside bistro serving American fare of the highest quality. Beef, pork, chicken, and you have never in your life had meatloaf like hers. She claims it is «the best this side of the Mississippi». I say it’s the best anywhere!
No alcohol, but I am sure they won’t mind if you bringing your own.
Like nothing I have ever come across in all my travels. Right here in Rhode Island.

My husband and I ate here twice. Both times the dinners were prepared for us as the owner/​chef chatted with us. Her husband also visited. A local moved over to make room for us at the one table and shared his bottle of wine with us. We felt like we had new friends. Great food. This is primarily a takeout place. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is I want more tables! I think there is one inside and 2 on the deck. I hope this little jewel is successful. Maybe she will able to expand the eat in area… but just a bit. Part of the ambiance is the friendliness of feeling like you are sitting in the kitchen of a friend.

I was out backroading in southwestern RI today and drove by an adorable little cottage, cute enough to make me turn around and go back. I got out of my car, and before going in I took a couple of pictures of the well-​decorated front porch, full of potted plants and cutesy décor. I planned to mention this place on my blog and wanted pics for that and for Unilocal (fully expecting I’d be giving a high rating for whatever goodies they were selling once I got inside… it just had that look). The front door was open on this pretty day and a woman, presumably the owner, appeared in the doorway and said «can I help you?» From outside looking in it seemed to be a bakery or takeout gourmet shop. I said «I’m just taking a couple of pictures, it’s so pretty out here!» She says «it’s nice to ask first!» I was caught off guard, wasn’t sure I understood, so I said «ask? To take pictures?» She says «yes…it’s nice to ask» I replied «really? ask to take pictures… of a BUSINESS?» She says «yes…of anything really» She then says «are you from around here?» SERIOUSLY??? I said «no…and I won’t be back». I left feeling like I had been slapped in the face but at the same time wondering if I was wrong by just taking pictures without asking. I’ve since asked 5 – 6 people and they were all just as shocked as I was. Interesting that there are two other reviews posted and while both mention how friendly the place is, the review is the only one for each reviewer.

Adorable little place with fresh, delicious food! The owner is very friendly. Great find.

Everything about this place is fantastic! The second I stepped inside I was greeted by friendly smiles and felt right at home with the cozy and eclectic décor. But once I tried the food I knew this was my new favorite spot, everything is delicious! Definitely will be back again soon.
