Stop there for just bowling and some average appetizers. Thier late night offer on bowling is a good deal

OK. After many visits to Tuttle’s, I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone patronize this business. This place is the pits. The food is average at best and overpriced. The service, with the exception of possibly one server, is a complete disaster even when the place is not busy. The beer list is underwhelming, and we’ve had nights when it’s tough to get a glass of water that doesn’t look more like tea than water(really think they need to clean out their lines behind the bar more often; my husband once got a glass of «water» that was disgusting and full of something that was *not* water). But more than anything, I am adding Tuttle’s to my «Dead to Me» list because the management and/or ownership is straight up dishonest. On our last and final visit to Tuttle’s, my husband and I ordered two rounds of drinks — two Crispin ciders for me and two Summits for him. Our waitress was apparently cut at about 10 p.m., and she came over to tell us she had to close our tab out. Um, OK. Most places I know would’ve just had another server pick up the table but instead she insisted on closing us out. So when she brought our check, we noticed that we were charged two different prices for our two identical rounds of drinks. My first Crispin was $ 5.92, the second one was $ 6.15. My husband’s first beer was $ 5.47, the second was $ 5.92. When I asked our server about the discrepancy, she said she didn’t know why we were charged different prices. She went and consulted the manager, and then returned to our table to tell us that the explanation he gave her was that the charges for drinks go UP when the band is playing. I told her that I would like to speak with the manager, and he came over and reiterated that the drinks are more expensive when the band is playing. He could not tell me WHY this policy exists, just that that’s what«they do.» I told him that was ridiculous, not to mention the fact that it is not disclosed anywhere(possibly because Tuttle’s doesn’t list its drink prices anywhere), and I told him I refused to pay the extra charge. He removed $ 1 from our bill and I refused to order another drink for the rest of the night. Later, still angry and honestly confused, I emailed Tuttle’s through their website hoping to reach management about my distain for this apparent policy. Two days later, I received an email from a woman named Roberta who told me that«it is customary with in [sic] the industry to either charge a cover or raise the price of drinks to cover the cost of the band. … If you have had other experience we understand but this is the way we do it at Tuttle’s.» I replied and told Roberta that while I appreciated her reply, for me, charging a cover is totally different than an unadvertised increase in prices when a band is on stage. If I go to a venue to see a band and there is a cover to get in the door, I know exactly WHY I am being asked to pay an extra amount, and more importantly, I know HOWMUCH I am being asked to pay up front. I can then choose to pay the price of admission or leave. By raising prices on people halfway through the night on the sly, Tuttle’s is not ASKING people to pay extra. There is no disclosure. The inflated charges just make their way onto people’s tabs silently. It is dishonest and sneaky. I did not receive any further reply, nor did I expect one, as I told Roberta that we would not be returning to Tuttle’s on the principle of the matter. All of that drama aside, the bottom line is that we see a LOT of live music, and while we have certainly often happily paid a cover, I have never, EVER been to another bar that increases the price of drinks only when the band is on stage. We’ve been to bars that offer drink specials when a band is playing, in fact discounting drinks to keep people there. We’ve been to bars that publish their prices clearly on chalk boards, menus or little signs that sit on the tables. But I’ve never been to a bar that claims that it’s an industry standard to hike up prices halfway through the night without informing patrons. If I hired someone to do anything — clean my house, fix my car, walk my dog — and they increased the price halfway through the service without telling me, they’d be accused of a bait and switch. I don’t see how Tuttle’s can claim this is any different. We will not be back.

When you need a place to feel like home, here’s your place to be. Pony up to the bar, order apps and your favorite beverage from Josh T, Tracie, Joshwa, Christina, Blake, Zane, Nancy, and/or George and relax. Want to try some speciality drinks/shots. Layer a bomb pop or try the cinnamon toast crunch or a classic martini. Their friendly service will keep you coming back. Great hospitality, good food, fun atmosphere and cool locals. Stop by and say hi to me. I’m becoming the«Norm» my chair has already dented the floor from me sitting so long ;) cheers!

After a bad start(I have an European driver’s license and they didn’t accept it and they were really rude about it) I drove home to pick up my passport. Which led to receiving a 25 $ gift card, because the manager felt sorry about our earlier interaction. Then the waitress gave me my first beer for free and I even got my bowling shoes for free. Ofcourse the service was bad at first, but everyone can make mistakes. I would have give them a 4 star rating because of the bad start, but I feel like that wouldn’t be enough. Because this is a real fun place to bowl on a Friday night with a small group of friends(4 – 6). Good music, plenty of entertainment on TV’s and good beers on tap. So 5 stars. After all I can come back another time for free, thanks to the 25 $ giftcard.

I revoke my last statement, regarding the fries. They changed whatever it was they were doing.

Took a day off work for my birthday and brought the family bam down here to hang out with a deal I purchased. We had a great time and the staff was great! It was a nice, clean, well kept place. The drinks from the bar were strong, but the food was pretty basic. Overall, good place and I recommend!

I suppose I shouldn’t expect reasonably healthy choices in a bowling alley restaurant, but I thought I got lucky with the spicy green beans in a Szechuan sauce. Sadly, they were breaded and deep fat fried with a spiced mayo sauce on the side. Disappointing, but I should have known better. Ample TV’s for sports watching though.

This place is hit or miss. I usually get ok service in the bowling alley from servers. The bartenders are slow and the servers in the bar are spotty. Good deals on Groupon, worth the price for all the things you get with it.

So underwhelming… We went to this place for a late lunch and it was very light in regards to anyone in the restaurant. There were others bowling, but the restaurant was empty except for the townies getting their day drinking on… It was disappointing to see they didn’t have fruit as a option for a side. Especially in the summer time. I ordered the chef salad, which didn’t stand out, very generic and my BF ordered the club wrap with coleslaw since there was not fruit. Their parking lot is HORRIBLE! Thank goodness it was a late lunch, i can see a lot of cars getting dinged because it is so narrow… YUCK! The service was mediocre and the food was as well. I think if I am looking to eat at a place at that price point I will hit up Bunnys…

My girlfriend and I love to come to this place on the weekend nights for bowling. After 10 it’s super cheap. Good crowd, never too many crazy drunk people… just an all around good time.

I go here on some Friday nights to visit the bartenders and sing karaōke(apparently I like to sing karaōke). It’s a nice joint, but I come for the bartenders. Erika and Mia, these two rock! No matter how busy they are my beer is always waiting for me by the time I get to the bar. Yeah boiiiiiii. That’s cool! Food is good, typical bowling alley food. I’m told the pretzles are out of this world but they only have them at certain times. Always seems to be a time I’m not there. Bowling — never bowled here myself but my son went to a birthday party here and it was done very well. So, if youre in the area on a Friday night, come on down. You might see me, you might not. You NEED to see the bartenders though. They’ll treat you right.(by the by, order from the bartenders not the servers) PEACEOUT!!!

Great mix of an updated bowling alley with a small town feel. I recently went here on a cold Saturday night and this place lives up to its reviews. The recently remodeled facility features a nice bar and grill, a little arcade, and some great lanes. We really liked the set-up of the seating for bowling as each lane had its own little pod of seats with a table. This is nice if your group isn’t big enough to require two lanes as it gives each lane an intimate feel. Definitely cut down on the sometimes ackward small talk with the lane next to you. The food is good, too. I had a delicious California Burger with the waffle fries. Yum. I will be back!

Tuttles is awesome. For parties with bowling, pizza and friends… Or to even just relax, and watch the game and have a couple beers with a homie. The food is mediocre, about what you’d expect to find at a bowling alley, pizza, fries, burgers, chips n salsa an whatnot. Drinks are well made and backed by some of the coolest bartenders in Hopkins. But of course my favorite part is the neon bowling alley, haha. Gotta love that stuff. They also have a smaller arcade room located next to the bar for the arcade freaks. All in all, a great place for get togethers with Family or friends!

The bowling area is fantastic. It’s kid friendly, the cost is reasonable and it’s exceptionally clean. The food was only«decent» on our last visit. The pizza was fine but it lacked in the flavor arena. The salads were fresh and therefore carried our meal. The other people(and kids) in our party ordered chicken strips, chicken wings, mini corn dogs, and a club sandwich. They all gave solid thumbs-up to their meals. All in all, this is a solid place to take your Significant Other, kids, and/or a group for a line of bowling and some bar food. Thumb’s up(in spite of the pizza).

Tuttles! Recently started going to this place on an almost weekly basis. I would highly recommend going during the«all you can bowl» hours– it cost 10 bucks and includes shoe rental. This place is usually never too crowded and after nine it’s «cosmic» bowling. If you go for food I recommend the burgers and waffle fries. Really good bloody marys as well. Went for karoke once, that was interesting. My only complaint would be the lack of beers on tap(for pitcher purposes) and also, check online before you go to make sure it isnt league bowling time.

Ah Tuttles… It is a bowling alley ya know… They get their meat from across the street at Nelson, so the burgers are very good. The breakfasts are the best, free bloody or screwdriver… an excellent appetizer. Usually features the prime rib from the night before, yum. We’ve heard bands there and it’s loud, they have trivia on Tuesday’s… They always have the latest game on and the bartenders are cool. Say hi to Linda, she doesn’t bite!
