Olympic North Restaurant & Park Ave Ballroom

This diner has had its ups and downs over the past five years and multiple ownerships. The décor remains the same– a confused diner/​restaurant hybrid with mismatched framed inspirational posters and vintage movie reels. Okay…
The service is usually decent, but it hardly makes up for the food. The cole slaw is too thick, and the grilled cheese is greasy. Even a good old BLT was unimpressive with cooled off bacon and limp lettuce. Don’t get me started on the Olympic North’s tomatos… they are always too thick cut and pasty white in the middle.
However, it’s great that Hopewell has a diner in town, and the hours stay open late for such a small town. The staff is nice to the mix of high school students, families, and seniors, and the bathrooms are spotless.
It’s not i84 diner, but it works.
