Little Jozefs Gourmet Pizza and Pasta

Don’t know the owners so my review isn’t cherry picked because of relationships like most. I came in for lunch and ordered there chicken cutlet parmigiano. 1^st the salad came out. I asked for balsamic vinaigrette. I received straight balsamic vinegar. very different and she never told me or offered me any different dressing … 2^nd the waitresse took my order and never even asked me for a drink, so I had to get up and get one myself. 3^rd the meal comes out and just by looking at it you could clearly tell it was overcooked. The spaghetti was literally burned black on the edges. All I can say is I am a traveling sales man and I have never ever had a worst meal than this. SMH don’t come here!

We used to love this place until the guy yelled at me on the phone and made me cry for no reason. He said someone ordered food from my house and didn’t answer the door when he got here which never happened. I tried to explain that this was not us but he told me not to call there any more and was very mean. They have lost so much business from us they have no idea. Nothing is worth supporting such a jerk.
Also, they refused to take card for delivery which should have been a sign that they sucked.

Finally, pizza that tastes good, isn’t horribly greasy or made with plastic tasting cheese. Nice toppings, good tasting crust (the whole wheat is great!), and sauce that tastes good. We just had a Hawaiian and a Heart Healthy (chicken and plum tomatoes) and they were very good. You’ll pay a little more for the higher quality but it sure beats the tasteless pies you may get from other places. Can’t wait to try more!

Love the food and the owners, Jon and Drita. Best gluten free pizza in the area that I’ve had, and I’ve tried a lot. When it comes to food, every one has their own opinions. The only way to find out if you like it is to try it! Also love the chicken and spinach roll!

Best wings and pizza in the area. ALWAYS friendly staff and pizza is very consistent in quality. Always have to throw in the Jamaican beef patties w/​cheese. The owners do have accents (in response to another review) but speak perfect understandable English.

Where to start, lol? Called for a delivery order, the woman on the phone randomly handed it to some guy who couldn’t speak English well.
I ordered a small «hot pie» (from their menu), an order of garlic knots well done w/​marinara sauce, and a 2L Sprite. Seems simple enough right?
I received a medium sausage and pepper pie, an order of barely cooked garlic knots without marinara sauce, and a 2L coke. 0 for 3. Tisk Tisk. Definitely go elsewhere for your pizza needs in Hopewell Junction.
Also, the delivery guy gave me the warming pouch, and later came and retrieved it. Must have been his first day too.

We stopped here for a quick dinner with two toddlers at around 8:30pm, and they were super friendly, didn’t rush us at all. My son happened to shout that he wants broccoli and mushrooms, and they suggested a personal size pie for the kids. I figured we’d also order some pizzaria-​type standards. Wow, I didn’t expect their eggplant parm to be SO GOOD. It was delicious– wafer thin breaded eggplant, just the right amount of fresh mozzarella, and ziti cooked perfectly al dente. The Hubs really enjoyed the cheesy garlic bread, the mozzarella tasted like it was hand-​pulled (though it probably wasn’t). The pizzas were crisp, texture was just as good as one that you’d expect in the boroughs. The food itself I’d give 5 stars. I dropped a star because 1) the leather seats are old & really cracked, 2) some prices missing on the overhead menu (though this place was still more reasonable than Manhattan prices), and 3) the bathroom (a single) has a door that doesn’t close/​lock. Fortunately, we were the only patrons there, but this could be a problem if it was more crowded. I’d come back if I was passing through again.

Came in pretty late and the counter person was super friendly and offered to make me what ever I wanted which was a buffalo chicken roll which was delicious! So I give them 5 stars for service and for the food!

Very good pizza and super friendly staff. They always throw in an extra garlic knot or extra meatballs on the pie. Highly recommended.

Best buffalo chicken pizza ever. All their food is really good, and the family that owns this place is awesome. Definitely my favorite pizza place in this area.

Pizza is good. You’re better off buying a slice in the store than ordering a pie. The slices you get when you order a pie are really small, and the slices in the store are normal sized. There «large pies» are really small pies.

Three stars from me is pretty darn good for pizza considering my Grandma made the best pizza & Italian food in Little Italy back in the days of MARIA’S on Grand St just down from Ferrara’s!
The calzones here are super creamy and delicious! And the owners, Josef & his wife are delightful.

Pizza was delicious. The margherita pizza is the way to go. Fresh ingredients and authentic taste. Staff was very friendly.

I stopped by on the way to Canada. I had the spinach slice, and a regular slice. Good pizza and friendly staff.

It’s family run and they greet you by name at the door! If there ever was an example of how to run a business perfectly, this is it!
They always strike up a conversation, ask how the family is doing, and throw in extra salads, garlic knots, bottles of soda, etc. on a regular basis!
I don’t think I’ll ever buy a Sicilian pizza anywhere else, because NOTHING compares to his Sicilian pies!
Don’t deprive yourself of his heavenly pizza!

i live close enough to walk to this place and i enjoy knowing that anytime i get pizza here i know it will be excellent every time. that is something other pizza places in the area can say (though i have been a resident of this town for 12+ years and the pizza is good around here but no one matches josef’s consistency)

They have been our «Go To» place for pizza since they opened have never been disappointed. I don’t mind paying a little more knowing it will be prepared right every time.

Definitely the best White slice that I’ve tasted in the Hudson Valley area. Super nice couple who owns the place also. There pizza is a little bit more expensive than some pizza places but its worth it.
