Gosh I really wanted to love this place. I love Spanish rotisserie. I’ve had it many times in my travels. I have been meaning to try this place out for months after seeing their advertisement in Valpak. Even though I live nearby I don’t drive this way. Today I decided to go out of my way to try it for lunch. I ordered take out for my husband and I. There was no line but nearly all the tables were full. I thought this must be a good sign! My mouth started to water as I began to read the menu. Everything sounded delicious! I approached the register where you order and pay. I asked who I think was the owner what he recommended as I had never been there. He recommend the cheese burger and fish tacos. I was a bit deflated he recommended the cheese burger but thought it must be good!(He said he had made 20 of them so far that day) And I love fish tacos so this also made me super pumped to hopefully find a new favorite spot. He also recommended the seasoned fries as our side, saying that was their best seller. Now for the review of food.(I feel like I needed that backstory) The cheeseburger was just okay. Nothing good or great about it at all. It was really a let down. My husband said it was just a waste of what could have been a really good lunch. My fish tacos were even worse. Like so bad. The fish tasted watery and was smushy. No good flavor. The sauce they put on was really gross. I am still sad about it. The only think positive I can say was the bread it was folded in was pretty good. The fries weren’t good or bad. They were covered in salt and Parmesan and spices so that was nice. I love salt so I didn’t mind the saltiness but my husband thought it was an overload. Will I be back? Probably not. I so wanted to love this place. The menu descriptions sound so good but it’s just fancy words on paper. Also thought it was over priced. I understand it’s a small business but I feel cheated.

Oh how I wanted to love this place… but alas. I’m being very kind with this extra star. I went for lunch takeout yesterday, was the only person waiting for food. Ordered one shrimp and one fish taco and sides. When the guy handed me my bag my first thought was«Hey, there’s nothing in here,» but I felt around and there were 2 boxes so I laughed thinking my imagination had gotten the best of me. It hadn’t. When I got home I opened the first box to find two flat«rollups» inside, not a taco. And when I say flat, I’m talking it looked like a crêpe. So I handed my daughter her box, she said…“This is it?” We opened up our«tacos» and her shrimp had been replaced by fish, my fish had been replaced by air, and there was literally less than 3 oz of fish«slivers» inside both orders. So, fighting the urge to drive back down there to strangle somebody, I just dove in as I was famished from the drive up from Jacksonville. Neither one of us are ever going back. There’s a place in Orlando I go for fish tacos for $ 2 and they put about 4 ozs. of fish per taco, and they aren’t rolled up to hide the fact there’s nothing inside. For over $ 8 each per order I consider this an unpardonable sin. BTW, if you’re reading this and thinking«It can’t be that bad.» I beg you to scroll down to Carl V’s review dated 3/10, I wish I had.

Great find on my part. Needed something quick, walked in and just got a steak sandwich and veggies. 10 minutes later awesomeness on my plate. Sandwich is just right for quick lunch, the steak was cooked medium and everything was warm. I will return. Service was excellent and friendly.

I’ve always been a big fan of Brava. The flavors and their recipes are really good. As much as I’ve liked it in the past I’ve seen alot of inconsistently in the quality of food lately. As another review stated, I’ve called around 6 to order family meals and they were not only of of chicken, but had no other options to put a family meal together. I don’t know what’s going on but hope they correct it soon.

Great spot for a quick dinner. Their house-made potato chips and fries with herbs and cheese are amazing! Order the streak roll ups, chicken sandwich or rotisserie chicken.

I really want to give this place a great review. I’ve eaten the chicken there. It’s plump, juicy, beautifully seasoned. The roasted red potatoes and salad were delicious. I’ve actually tried to eat at Brava rotisserie grill five times. But the last three times, they had no chicken. I called this evening, 6:30PM on Friday night and they were out of chicken! The last two times, I called in for an order and they were out of chicken! That’s three times, really? 2 hours before closing?! I suggest if you want chicken, go in the afternoon, because after 6 o’clock, they run out.

We ordered the Cuban sandwich and the fish sandwich — both with fries — mine unseasoned and her’s the usual seasoned. My Cuban had one micro-sliced piece of pork loin, one micro-sliced of(packaged?) ham, two supermarket-sliced pieces of Swiss cheese, two pickle slices and French’s yellow mustard(!?). It was barely warmed on a panini press or maybe steamed, because the Cuban roll was chewy, not browned and crusty. It was served with an inappropriate 1,000 island dressing on the side — better paired with a Ruben. Meh. The fries were frozen Ore-Ida(?) shoestring potatoes and flash-fried. Meh. Ketchup had to be requested — about two Tb in a plastic cup. What? Is a ketchup bottle going to break their budget? My wife’s fish sandwich was pretty much as the Cuban, except the piece of fish was a collection of fish pieces, not a solid slab of fresh grilled fish. Tomato, lettuce and shredded parmesan so-so with the(steamed?) Cuban bread. Also served with the 1,000 isle dressing. Nothing horrible but for a tab of $ 18+, we expected more. Maybe we should have ordered something else.

The Brava burger and fries meal was a whatever meal. But the shrimp Cesar wrap was done really well and delicious. The fries are not flash fried, so they definitely have a very greasy taste that slowly gets to you the fuller you get. Very friendly and helpful staff. One other thing: if we ask what is in the Brava sauce, it isn’t because we want to copy your recipe. It’s because of an allergy concern. So if it is mayo based and someone has an egg allergy, it would be helpful to mention that at the very least it does contain a rather common allergin that could be potentially pose a problem to your customers.

This place is solid! I am a huge fan of it. I have enjoyed every experience I’ve had there. I typically get the steak roll ups with fries(fries are a must! They’re sprinkled with herbs and grated Parmesan cheese!). I enjoy it with an unsweetened iced tea, which is always fresh.(They also have a good selection of local beers, if you wanted to enjoy a cold brew.) The longest I’ve waited for my food was about 8 or 9 minute. Not bad I’d say since it’s made fresh. I almost got dessert today, but I was too full and satisfied. But they have cookies and brownies. *something to note: the store does not accept Discover Cards.

I have eaten at Brava many times, and it never fails to be excellent. The food and friendly staff always make me want to come back for more! Brava is a locally-owned restaurant that strives to be extraordinary, and they are doing a great job at it. :) If you live in Hoover or North Shelby County, stop by Brava to eat sometime. You won’t be disappointed!

Nice, tasty, fresh tasting fare. Friendly and efficient staff. The fish tacos were delicious, as were the seasoned fries, shrimp plate was Ehhhh, but will try Brava again— need to support local eateries doing a good job, and trying to make go of it.

Brava is a great locally owned restaurant. They serve mostly sandwich wraps using fresh ingredients. I tried their fish tacos this particular visit and my wife had their signature wrap the Rotisserie Chicken. As spouses will we tried each others and I must say they where both excellent. They did not make the mistake a lot of similar places make of over saucing or over dressing the wraps. My wife had the homemade potato chips and I had the roasted potatoes as our sides and they were great as well. They serve local beer and also have wine. I look forward to trying this place again for sure.

We decided to give this place another shot since we live so close and were having a lazy I don’t want to cook night. It is still ok good. It does seem like they have lightened up on the sodium some. Still great price for the family meal for 4(even though it feeds the two of us with none left for two others…).

Ok the address on the site map is wrong. Im in town on business and got lost because the map places it in a subdivision. It is actually in the publix strip mall. The chicken was good but for the price wasn’t that impressed. I do wish it well as it seems like a family owned place and I do respect that. Would rather give 3– stars but not 4 sorry. Decent alternative but not a must in my book.

The food here is awesome. My favorite is the grilled shrimp wrap(though I do get the dressing on the side). The sides are really good, too. You can choose healthy options or just fall off the wagon with their fries(which are amazing). My husband and I eat here every other week.
