Big fan. Unique, good quality food. Everything is good! My favorite place to get a burger in HR.

While the setting is ok, I would not bother with this place for a few reasons. The breakfast portions were small and bland, customer dogs were a nuisance, the staff was borderline rude and they wanted to charge for coffee refills. With so many coffee choices in Hood River I’d stay away from this one.

Small portiions and poor service. My famiky spent 60 dollars for lunch and the owner wanted to charge me to refill my half cup of drip coffee. Cheap! Will not be back.

We were exploring hood river and decided to stop at This place for some dinner. I was not disappointed, steak and burger juicy and delicious. Coffee roasted on site. If you’re passing by this town or exploring like we did, I recommend to give it try :)

Really nice atmosphere, the place just feels great. My coffee was quite tasty and prices were reasonable. Glad to hear that they are looking into using organic soymilk :)

So, I was on my way to the Tri-cities, WA, area from Portland when a random thought crossed my mind, «I wonder if there are any roasters in Hood River, OR?»(Thoughts like that pop into my head a lot, especially when I’m on a road trip.) A quick search on my GPS pulled up 10 Speed Coffee Roasters. I had the time, so I hit ‘Start’ and followed Siri’s dulcet tones all the way to my latest caffeine fix. I have to admit, I was expecting a small town, quaint coffee shop. I wasn’t expecting a destination, something worth extending my trip for. But, a destination is what I found. The building was a good sized and housed 10 Speed Coffee Roasters, Kickstand Coffee and Kitchen, and Dirty Finger Bicycle and Repair — all interconnected and owned by friends who love coffee, good food, beer, live music, and bikes. In other words, they love everything that makes the Pacific Northwest amazing. The space is amazing and the coffee is good as well. I tried the Columbian, which they had on drip. Good coffee. As I took my first sip, I smelled the hints of citrus people Pacific Northwest love. The citrus didn’t overwhelm the coffee(Thank God!) and what I found was a great, balanced collection of flavors. The first few sips finished dry, but not bitter at all. As the cup cooled, it retained its flavor throughout — something you only get with quality coffee and a roaster who knows their stuff. I guarantee I’ll stop here on my way back through. Two thumbs up!

Loved(!) this place. The atmosphere is great and there is plenty of space to sit; couches, tables, high tables, and a bar. I spent several hours there studying and was able to have lunch from their delicious food menu, I had the massaged kale salad and will definitely go back for it. Staff is really friendly and music playlist was awesome.

Kickstand has great atmosphere and wonderful staff. They have cool hand made tables with large windows and bikes hanging on the walls. I ordered a Banh Mi sandwich and a beer from crux, the were delicious. I highly recommend stoping by for lunch or post bike ride beer.

1) the drip coffee is great, roasted in house. The pour overs are even better. The baristas know their business and put out a great latte(lot of baristas at other coffee shops burn the almond milk) 2) the food is awesome! Seriously. Get the Ricky or the Ricky Bobby. Every ingredient surpasses expectations. 3) great place for the community! There is a fun run EVERY Friday morning at 7am. We get out there no matter the weather and hang out for some coffee and donuts afterward. 4) oh and the donuts. I bring these down to Portland to impress my foodie hipster friends. I’m not even usually a fan of the adventurous flavored(like Lucky charms) but every donut here is good. My favorite is the maple.

I spent 3.5 days in Hood River, and I think we came here 4 times. The coffee was great — I had just a regular iced as well as an iced latte. Kombucha was good too — they have it on tap there, like a lot of other places. We loved this place so much, that we came back for lunch one day after hiking. You can get any of their sandwiches as wraps — so I got the«oxymoron» — which is tofu, bacon, goat cheese, greens. It was awesome. My friend had a fantastic looking salad. She added tofu, and they didn’t skimp. If I lived in Hood River, this would definitely be my #1 coffee shop!

Back when it was 10 Speed the donuts were quite good, right around when it became Kickstand the donut recipe got screwed up and now the donuts are super oily, please bring back the old donuts!

I was pleasantly surprised with how great the food here was. My opinion, best burgers in Hood River by a long shot and a solid beer selection to go with it. My cousin and I frequent dirty fingers bike shop pre and post rides and had no idea that the neighboring 10 speed coffee shop took the leap and opened up a full service restaurant/sandwich shop. We were both very glad to finish our Post Canyon rides by treating ourselves to two great burgers and beers out on the KickStand patio. Kudos to KickStand and looking forward to our next ride in the hood so we can earn those burgers again.

As a coffee shop, I give Kickstand 4, maybe almost 5 stars. As a donut shop, which is the reason I went to Kickstand, it gets a 1 or 2. This coffee shop has a pretty good location. The service was warm and friendly. The cup of coffee I had was very good. However, this is the type of place frequented by flat brimmed trucker hat wearing people that address others as Bro and Dude. As a full time resident of Hood River and someone who works for a living, the trust fund«Bro» crowd who follow the sun and the wind and sleep in their vans when not doing yoga and working on their $ 3000 mountain bikes are the reason I sometimes loath this town. The reason I came to Kickstand was because I heard they had donuts! I love donuts and the ones at the grocery stores just don’t cut it. So, I walked into Kickstand and sure enough, there they were! However, the selection was lacking — only about 6 to 8 flavors. I bought 4. I had two and my fiancé had two. And… they were not that great. It’s not that they didn’t taste very good, but rather they were extremely greasy and heavy. They were also very small — about 2⁄3 the size of your average donut. And the worst part was the price! $ 1.50 for a little greasy donut that was probably worth about $.50-$.75. Voodoo, Joe’s, or Sisters Bakery donuts these are not. As for the overly high price… I guess Kickstand figures that since their customers are mostly trust funders, they won’t bat an eye at a $ 1.50 donut… that’s provided they eat donuts, with all the carbs and gluten and all. They must be fair-trade donuts.

Great burger. Simple comfortable atmosphere — try the cold brew coffee. Gotta like a place where the CSA pick up is in the same room — you know their ingredients are fresh and fully developed. Recommend.

This place is becoming my new favorite place to eat in Hood River. On one visit with my diet restricted son, they didn’t bat an eye when I ordered a Gluten-free/Dairy-free version of The Dirty Burger. My boy is a burger fiend, and rated it one of the best burgers ever. I had a bite and agree; big, juicy, amazing texture and flavors even without the blue cheese and locally made buns. I can also recommend the Chicken ‘Standwich and any of their salads(available with sliced chicken or salmon). Today I tried the Russel’s Brussels appetizer. I know you think you don’t like Brussel’s sprouts, but do yourself the favor of trying these. My wife and I were fighting over ever last crispy leaflet. I haven’t tried any of their breakfasts yet… other than a few of their baked goodies. The scones are a weakness of mine. And their donuts are worth the calorie bomb… no guilt after eating one of these. Kickstand transitioned from 10-Speed Coffee in this location. 10-Speed still fresh roasts their beans on-site, and it’s the coffee that turned me into a coffee snob. My favorite is a Sumatra pour-over. If you haven’t had a pour-over, be ready to cool your heels for a few minutes while it’s expertly prepared. Don’t add any cream or sugar until you’ve tasted it. This is the coffee that makes me want to get out of bed. If you’re inclined to something sweeter, try the Creamy Finger. Sweet & Creamy, with a bit of spicy bite from a dash of cayenne. The owner tells me they’ll be changing the menu to make best use of in-season produce. He’s a great guy(and happens to be one of the fastest mountain bike enduro racers in a region of fast riders), and will happily chat when he’s not whipping up your delicious lunch. They’re new, and they’re already expanding. This place is just going to get more popular, so get in here before you get crowded out. If you’re a cyclist, be sure to check out Dirty Fingers next door!

I’ve eaten here twice and their food is really good. I had the«Dirty Burger» and I felt like one of those judges on one of those foodie shows noticing all the different burst of tastes in my mouth poppin. I have to say this is probably one of the best conceived burgers I’ve had in a very long time. Also had the«Bahn Mi» sandwich with the pork belly meat. It was amazing. My coworker had the«Cubano» and loved it. The Kale Salad was also impressive. The way it was composed made it look like a Monet painting. The fries were also very delicious. Great establishment!!!
