Hands down THEBEST cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life(and that’s a lot of cupcakes). They’re not too sweet, they’re perfect! I can’t rave enough about them!

My associate and I walked all over downtown looking for cupcakes because every place we tried was closed. We finally found this place. First of all, they open earlier than most places which is awesome! Secondly, the woman working was very sweet and helpful! Thirdly, the cupcakes were very pretty and nicely decorated! Lastly, they were very tasty! We bought 8 cupcakes in total for a small birthday party for one of our co-workers. Everyone loved the cupcakes! Note: Definitely a place to go back to!

My first time having these cupcakes a few months back, I thought they were ok. & after having them again last week, my mind hasn’t changed. The cupcakes dont have much moistness or sweetness to them, and they are kind of dry in texture. What makes them yummy is the frosting, but then again an ingredient I think their lacking is: sugar. The cupcakes are priced at either $ 2.95 or $ 3.50 each but they also offer mini cupcakes for a selected variety for $ 2. I came in on a Wednesday around 11:30 in the morning and there were only(10) different flavors to choose from. I’m guessing they’re geared more towards pre-orders on custom cakes & cupcakes(perhaps some of the cupcakes sitting in the display case were originally for that purpose). I’ve learned through the years my sugar tolerance isn’t limitless anymore so having a cupcake here, is kinda of an indulgence(I guess). I mean if one were forced to my face, it would probably be hard to turn down, however I don’t think the product itself is worth the price tag. Pros: 1) customer service 2) presentation of the cupcakes 3) they’ll provide you with forks and napkins for your box of cupcakes

While I’m glad there is a cupcake place downtown, this place is just average. Cakes were a little dry and buttercream was just ok. I do appreciate that they offered birthday cake, a neglected flavor here. Selection is not great either.

Hand down the best cupcakes and cakes in town. Hand crafted, exquisite detail, and most importantly super delicious! If you are into highly attention to detail and want to gift someone a beautifully crafted dessert, this is a fabulous option. Open only 4 hours daily, so products are oh so fresh out of the oven!

Why don’t they have more reviews? Is it because they’re tucked away, underground, in downtown? Cute little shop with a small couch and free lemon water for you to balance out the delicious buttercream frosting and sugar coma you will experience after binging on 5 cupcakes. I love love love their cakes. They have mini cupcakes(bite size) and regular-sized cupcakes, some of which have fillings(like fresh strawberries). They also sell cookies. Their cake is moist and dense, just like how I love my American cakes(even though the baker is Japanese, this is not the Asian cakes you typically find in Hawaii). The cake and frosting are not overly sweet, but very flavorful. Frosting is buttery and creamy and not overloaded with sugar(this is the way frosting should be!). They’re on the pricier side but I think it’s totally worth it.

With the hours I work in my job, there are days when I desperately need a pick me up. I was SUPER bummed when one of my favorite cupcake places closed their shop in town, but then I discovered We Heart Cake Company. I had an extremely busy morning, had some personal errands to run, and lunch time came… and went. I knew I needed to grab a fast lunch, so I went to grab food. I then noticed We Heart Cake Company… with their lighted«Open» sign. With my lunch in hand, knowing how busy my morning was, I knew I was in for a long afternoon and probably a late night in the office. That made my decision — I knew I needed to grab some cupcakes to help me get through the day. I bought 4 cupcakes — the very berry strawberry, red velvet, matcha, and cookies and cream. Now, as much as I love my desserts, this was not all for me — it was for my coworkers. The matcha cupcake has a cream-filling. What a nice surprise! The cookies and cream cupcake had a surprise too — an oreo cookie on the bottom of the cupcake! I tried the very berry strawberry(the most popular flavor) — it was amazing and the perfect pick me up at 5 pm. It was similar to a strawberry shortcake — vanilla cake that is moist and light, but this cupcake had a strawberry filling. It was not overly sweet or overly frosted, so you can bet I devoured that cupcake in less than 1 minute. The cupcakes were $ 3.25 each. They even have mini cupcakes(which are very small; I would say its about 1⁄6 of the size of the regular cupcakes) that are $ 2 each. While I shouldn’t buy a cupcake everyday(for diet and budget reasons), I definitely think that this is going to be one of the places I’ll visit once a week to get that pick me up to get me through a long day at work.

I love this shop! Whenever we are in Oahu we have to stop here for a quick treat. The cupcakes are so delicious(they come in both regular and mini sizes), I usually get one of everything but the strawberry is my favorite! We got married in Hawaii last month and I knew I had to have their cake pops to give out as favors. It was really nice how accommodating they were about the design and delivery. Our guests LOVED them and have even asked that we bring some back for them next time we visit Hawaii.

I love this cute bake shop and the cupcakes are so delicious. Perfect ratio of frosting to cake, not too sweet, but just right. The nice thing about this store is the cupcakes come in two sizes so you can buy a variety of flavors to sample. My favorites are the red velvet and strawberry shortcake. The store is clean, nicely decorated and the smells of the cakes baking is out of this world. Overall very impressed with the cupcakes here, even better than Hokulani. Customer service was awesome, Tiana greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. A hidden gem and one worth finding.

From light as air frosting to cupcakes that are dense and sinfully delicious, we heart cake has hit the jackpot! My partner and I swung by to try them out and were so impressed we booked them for our wedding! The staff is super friendly, the food is beyond phenomenal and the attention to detail is flawless!

My wife and I were recently married in Hawaii. Since we live far from Hawaii everything was coordinated through a wedding planner, Best Day Ever. For our wedding cake they recommended a relatively new«mom and pop» company called«We Heart Cake». At this time they didn’t have their own webpage but they did have a Facebook page( ). We went with them based on their photos of cakes for weddings, birthdays, etc. We arrived in Honolulu only a few days before our wedding but they were able to deliver cake and frosting samples to our hotel despite working several other orders that day. We were able to try flavors ranging from vanilla to strawberry to chocolate and even guava. All were delicious but we kept it simple and chose the vanilla buttercream frosting with the vanilla cake which was fantastic and this is coming from two chocoholics. Weeks earlier we had already discussed the basic design of the cake. My wife and I are bookworms so we wanted a book-themed cake. The cake was waiting for us at our reception at a private room at a Honolulu restaurant. It looked like three large antique books stacked slightly askew on top of each other, each with a different color and design. A Roman numeral on the binding of each«book» represented the month, day or year of our wedding date. The cake looked so real that two experienced wedding professionals, the photographer and videographer, thought the cake really was a stack of books. That everyone was amazed was an understatement. In a testament to the detail given the«paper» had lines and rows like old binding and was browned to show aging and staining of the paper. As book lovers it felt like a crime to cut into the cake. Needless to say we highly recommend«We Heart Cake» for any type of theme cake.
