The sushi place is located on the kahala side of the kaimuki times, below longs. This space has been used for various other sushi places over the years, but«the sushi place» seems to be a newer name; I’m not sure if it has new owners though… Honestly, I came because I saw a Facebook ad that they serve«sushi and boba». While they do offer boba drinks, it is the powdered smoothie drink kind, not the fresh tea kind. Boo. The door is an awkward sliding glass door that is a little difficult to open, but once your inside, the space is small, but clean. I do not recommend coming between 3 – 4, it is a very popular place for the St. Louis boys and sacred hearts girls to come for after school snack. I waited about 15 minutes before even seeing a worker come out to take my order :/ I ordered a few handrolls, and they were nothing special. The rolls were about $ 3 each… More expensive than Kozo, but they seemed to have mass to them. I did like that they use real salmon(kozo does not btw) and that the menu has so much variety. If it wasn’t for the long wait and powdered boba drinks, I would be back more often than not. Unfortunately, I prefer to drive over to the kapahulu Starbucks/Kozo for my after school snack. :)
