The views are ok if you are seated in the front portion of the deck. If you are seated on the side you get to see a parking lot. Asked for water after being seated for 20 minutes and waiting for the waitress to clean a puddle that was on the floor of our loungey lawn chairs. We ordered two pizzas that ended up being a large burnt pita chip with arugula. The service left a lot to be desired and you also must open a tab as soon as you arrive even though it’s not a bar but it’s also not a restaurant? They have no competition and that is why the service is meh! Skip the fake hype and head to Cuckoo Coconuts instead!

The rooftop has become the highlight of SKY Waikiki and with more and more people discovering the hidden gem, I highly suggest putting in your reservation to save a seat! I love the desserts and live music everyday from 6 – 9 pm. Make sure to dress to impress because it’s definitely a photo opportunity to keep!

This place was a disappointment. Besides the sweeping views of Waikiki, the service and food was very lack luster. As I approached the hostess stand the hostesses barely greeted me, and examined my attire as if the location was extremely elite and exclusive. It was a Tuesday night around 7 pm. C’mon now. Our waitress barely knew the menu, and disappeared after spilling our drink on the table. We didn’t see her until after the food was served and our drinks were already empty. The final straw was watching a group of Japanese tourists sit in a lounge area, only to be questioned by the hostess on why they were in a «reserved» area. After escorting them back to the hostess stand, they were seated back in the same area. What was the point of humiliating them only to seat them in the same place? This lounge needs to seriously step up their level of service. The views will only draw in customers for so long!

The views from the outside patio area is amazing! This was my first time at Sky and I heard good things about the place but it took a birthday gathering to get me there. We had the perfect seats at the corner of the patio area and our couch faced out to the Waikiki Skyline. What made the view better was the railing was made out of clear glass so you can see right through into the skyline. If you lean over the railing, you’ll see the Waikiki streets. The night we had gone, Sunday evening, a performer sang live and was also sweet enough to sing Happy Birthday to our friend. The dress code was also casual so no need to dress up too fancy which is only during Friday and Saturday nights, all other days you can dress casually. Only downside were the drink and food prices which is expected from such a high class venue so I won’t complain at all about it. The view made up for it! I’ll definitely be back :)

This place is more like a lounge rather than a club. I can tell you that they are in a prime location, practically center of Waikiki, and is stationed up high on top of the skyscraper. Definitely one of the most fanciest lounges in Waikiki. On weekdays, Monday-Thursday, there is no cover and no dress code. On weekends, there is definitely a dress code but not sure if there is cover or not. This establishment consists of a small bar on the left as you walk in, and tons of tables on the right. The only thing that really sucks is that the tables are for reservations only. You can only sit at the bar if you want to hang out, which sucks because there is very limited stools available. There are a few tables in the middle where you can stand, but its really lame. Overall, limited space available but they do have an amazing view of Waikiki. It’s at least worth it to come up and take a peek of the view, but don’t plan on staying that long. P. S. Expensive drinks, about $ 10-$ 15 a drink that is half the size of a regular cup.

This place is absolutely amazing and my favorite in the whole Waikiki. It’s on top of a hotel with gorgeous views and great tables. We were so blown away with this spot we came back 2 days in a row. The drinks are great. Service exceptional and the atmosphere absolutely breathtaking. This is a must see spot if you are vacationing. It’s a lounge perfect to have drinks or go on a date.

Looking for another boojie club in Waikiki? Then look no further. Prices for mixed drinks run you about $ 12.00 and up. Need a place to sit? Slow down cowboy, better pay for that seat in the form of bottle. If not expect bouncers to ask you to get up. I think this place has more bouncers than guests… hmmm. I came to this place expecting to drop around $ 600-$ 800. I was in celebration mode so I was thinking of buying two bottles of some drank. Before I go any further, it was drizzling rain, on and off, that night so it wasn’t like the table service real estate was prime for selling. They wanted $ 1.5K tor a table and it was the table that would have been great any other night, if it wasn’t raining.(the one overlooking the city/firepit) I was like ughhh no. Ima buy two bottles and that’s it. They wouldn’t budge. It wasn’t like the place was popping off too. I don’t understand? If I was the manager I would have took the money but I also don’t run a club so maybe there is a reason, which I doubt. I ended up having a drink and leaving. If you are single and expecting to see some dime chics running up in Sky, good luck you’ll probably cry. Maybe since it was raining they stayed at home so their makeup wouldn’t run. I’ll never know. Maybe I will try their dinner menu one day. They do have an inside venue to get your dance on. Hopefully I will try to visit this place again on another night. This place was meh.

This place is stupid. We get there at 9 when they’re supposed to be open. They tell us they’re opening shortly. Meanwhile they’re kicking people out from the ‘sunset portion’ because they’re wearing sneakers. Really? You’re in Hawaii so you’re lucky that people are even wearing closed-toed shoes and button up shirts. This is NOT Las Vegas. Let’s face it, Honolulu is not even of the same caliber as LA or NY as far as nightlife goes. People come here with the idea of relaxing in paradise. They finally start letting people in at 9:35. We’re at the front because we’re on the guest list. And they turn away ATLEAST20 people on the guest list because they’re wearing ‘sneakers’. I’m talking about shoes that cost easily over $ 70,” but have rubber soles. The girl that was going to let us through the rope asked my friend if he was wearing vans – as if the brand matters. So of course we get turned away. We went to Addiction instead with no problems at all. Whoever manages this place is pretentious and will not be getting both local and tourist business from the young adult demographic. You can expect to see people older than 35 y/o here. Good luck paying your rent.

Finally checked this place out and I love it. The view is breathtaking. First off, the burger at this place the bomb. Their bun is so soft and the burger is really meaty. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had. Love the price as well. $ 10 for the burger with fries. Also had the truffle prosciutto pizza which was also yummy and tried their pineapple gangster which is a drink. I gave it a 4 because the drinks are a little steep. Could bring the price down a bit. Great place to chill for sure.

PROS: Epic location takes you up 18 stories plus 1. Beach casual on weekdays, dress codeon weekend. Absolutely gorgeous. Open standing. CONS: ID check once with bouncer. ID check twice at bar. Should have a stamp, or bracelet to represent age, instead of repetition taking place, not like any other clubs do that, what do I know. Drinks are steep but I’d say appropriatefor the upscale theme. Not enough seating. Plays Bruno Mars and David Guetta and cookie cutters. Lmao. Bye Felicia

OFFTHEHOOK!!! We were celebrating our anniversary, so we stopped in for dessert because I saw Baked Alaska online on the dessert menu. When we showed up, we realized the Baked Alaska was on the dessert menu at the other restaurant(Top of Waikiki). Jennifer(the Mixologist) went out of her way to accommodate us and she arranged to have a Baked Alaska delivered to us from the other restaurant! And it was the BEST Baked Alaska ever.(And I am a connoisseur of Baked Alaska.) In addition, we ordered drinks while we waited. The holiday special, Egg Nog, was beyond amazing!(If you like egg nog, you MUST order this drink!) Thank you, Jennifer, for making our anniversary so special! Highly recommend Sky Waikiki!

GREAT spot in Waikiki! Make a reservation here. Perfect timing for sunset is between 5 and 5:30 pm in the winter for a reservation. We didn’t have one, and luckily only had to wait about 15 minutes, but they were very accommodating. Everyone that works here has a great smile on their face, and carries good conversation. We were greeted by a male manager from San Francisco who topped off our experience with kindness. The musician, Big John, was talented and set a perfect mood and atmosphere. The menu pricing is superb. You can really enjoy a night here. I recommend it 100 times. Definitely plan for a cozy evening at Sky!

This review is solely for the Tiesto event this past Sunday. I have been to many events throughout Vegas, Hollywood, and NYC. I have been to 1 Oak, Hakkasan, XS, The Marquee, Tao, and many more. The last big event I went to that we really enjoyed was Calvin Harris at Hakkasan in the MGM Vegas last New Year’s Eve. Now I understand that Hakkasan is way larger than Sky Waikiki, but the electricity and overall feel of the event made us feel like I was having bottle service in Hakkasan. What I liked better about Sky was Sky had a more intimate feeling. At the large clubs in Vegas or Hollywood, you are sharing the venue with thousands and you get stuck in large crowds, the music isn’t appealing to the ear since it’s so loud and the sound comes off hallow. But in this intimate setting of 200 – 300 people, it has the feel of a private VIP event. The great thing is the event was neither private or for VIP’s. You are just treated like one no matter if you bought a table or a standing room ticket. Tiesto spun for about 2 hours. There was great music, bright lights, and amazing special effects. Everytime smoke appeared the crowd got louder. I believe that Sky offers a unique experience and are offering events in their 3 month existence that other Hawaii Clubs cannot setup or duplicate. I can only imagine what Sky has for the public in the upcoming year. We are very excited.

I had high hopes for Sky but I wasn’t too impressed with the place. My girls and I decided to have a girls night out for drinks and pupus at the rooftop. Due to it being a Friday night which is their club night, they warned us that last call for food would be 730 and that we would have to be done by 8 since they would need out table for bottle service. So much for taking our time and enjoying our food! I will say the rooftop was definitely nice and a little scary being up so high(if you’re scared of heights then best stay away from the railing). View was nice and had a good ambience. The service however was very slow and our waitress seemed to be rushing us with our orders. We decided on the ahi tuna pizza, popcorn shrimp, French fries and chicken sliders. Honestly everything tasted pretty mediocre. The ahi pizza was probably the best thing that we ordered and it was pretty spicy. Our poptart dessert we ordered honestly just tasted like a toaster strudel. I was a tad bit disappointed. It was also very small but I guess it was a good thing so we wouldn’t indulge. Drinks were pricey but that was expected. I did enjoy my drink. Forgot the name but it had pineapple and egg whites in it! Barely tasted like alcohol. We managed to finish on time but when we took a quick stop to the bathroom, we came back to our table already cleared! We hadn’t even finished our drinks! But thankfully they gave us a new one. The girls and I continued our night at the rooftop for more drinks. All the seating area were reserved for bottle service so we did have to stand the whole time. After a couple more cocktails we headed to the night club area and danced the night away. I will say the club was nice and not overly crowded which I liked. It was a different type of crowd but it was nice change from all the other clubs.

Rolled in on a Tuesday evening as soon as they opened with a reservation. You’re able to choose whether you want to sit inside or outside on the deck. DUH, we chose the deck. That’s what we came here for. I love rooftop settings. It reminds me of living in the city again. The view from up here is amazing with the ocean, sunset, tall buildings… It was quite a picturesque view. Can’t beat the ambiance of this place. After the sun goes down, the lights are dim, live music playing, fire pit in the corner… LOVED it. Pretty romantic. The food was THEBOMB, but pricey for the amount they give you. I don’t remember exactly how much the plates were but each dish ranges from about $ 20-$ 30. Ahi poke with avocado mousse: Heavenly! A must-try. It just wasn’t enough so we had to order 2. I felt like it was literally 2 tablespoons of poke in each plate. The serving size was disappointing, but. It was a fantastic snack. Sashimi pizza: AMAZING! Sweet, spicy and crunchy. I would eat this every day if I could. Also ordered 2 of these. The NY steak: My favorite dish of the night! It was also sweet and spicy, served over onions, and topped off with veggies and a sweet sauce. Super tender. The steak is served bloody rare on a marble… thing(lol) and it sizzles in front of you until it’s cooked to your desired temperature… but, ain’t nobody got time for that. I waited maybe 25 seconds and dug in to that bad boy and inhaled it. Simply delicious. The husband sipped on Moet the first half of the night($ 16 per glass), and Bud Light the other half($ 5 per glass). I sipped on virgin Mai Tais and orange juice the entire night and watched everyone else get hammered which is always fun to watch. I saw children here the first part of the evening so I’d say it’s kind of kid-friendly, but you should always remember that the freaks come out at night, so take the kiddies home. Right next to us, there was an older man with 2 young Asian girls getting bottle service… the girls were touching each other, showing each other how flexible they were, and getting frisky while the older man watched and joined in the fun from time to time. It really didn’t bother me and it was quite entertaining. Service was OK. Waitress was nice and conversational, bus boys were on point, the manager — not so much. My husband tried to «vape» out there(ugh, I know, super embarrassing– I absolutely hate those things) and the manager(who was walking around frantic the entire night) ran up on us and was extremely rude about it. Like, really… Can you be a little bit more polite/professional about it and worry more about these people next to us who are about to have a three-some? Sheesh. Whatever though, wasn’t about to let her ruin the night. Anyways, if you’re looking for an upscale hang out spot, date night spot, anything… with good food, drinks, perfect ambiance… I would definitely recommend this place! P.S. They validate parking for the Waikiki Business Plaza parking garage!

Location: The small, unassuming entrance is next to H&M in Waikiki. No doubt you’ll spot it immediately from the line of well-dressed, well-glittered people snaking around the way. There is parking in the plaza, or you could cab it. Admittance: I skimmed several Unilocal reviews that complained about the impossibility of getting in the actual club. We had a table reservation for a post-wedding celebration, so we experienced no waiting in line. But isn’t it common sense that there will be a demand and therefore a substantial wait for good things? I’d be more alarmed if there were no line. That means no one even wants to get in. Get there early and bring a crossbody big enough for slippahs to change into whilst waiting in line. You’ll be glad to have something nice and flat to wear when the more daring of your group insists you frolic your way to Waikiki Beach to take edgy early morning beach selfies after da club. If you’re a guy who wants to throw game beyond belief, offer to hold her place in line while she browses H&M, and call her when it’s almost time. That’s a tip from my magnanimous heart to yours. Dress Code: Dress like you’re going to run into your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend’s new beau that you secretly created an anonymous Instagram account to stalk as soon as you caught a whiff of them moving on. Men: If you don’t wear at least a collared shirt, what are you even doing with your life. Ladies: The higher the heel, the better to spot potential baes, lonely and adrift in a sea of people once you get up to Sky. Only don’t fall off the balcony and become a HNN headline the next day. Composure, please! Service: Unusually for high-end nightclubs, service was friendly, accommodating and with nary a hint of snobbishness. The waitresses smile at you, guy or girl, and are genuine with you. They want you to come back. I can’t imagine doing what they do, shuttling trays of drinks and food through sweaty, badly-behaved throngs of people for hours on end, and in uncomfortable shoes. Treat them well. Décor: I think they were going for dat Vegas club feel, which is prohibitively expensive to achieve in Hawaii. But for the most part I was impressed by the newness and swankiness of the place. Everything is cool, carpeted, and clean. There are several futuristic-looking private rooms inside the main room of Sky which you can see into, no doubt to breed envy among the standing crowd outdoors. Outside of the main room, there is large balcony with several private tables you can purchase for the night or by the hour. I think you have to reserve these well in advance. My only gripe is that I wish there were more lighting outside on the balcony, but I understand that they were going for the«Sky» feel(drinking under the stars), so the addition of lights would undermine that. Food/Drink: Very good cocktails. I had the Iolani cooler. Refreshing, and not overly sweet. They taste expensive, and aren’t cheap. All the cocktails are aesthetically pleasing, so that you can feel good about snapchatting them and then wait for the barrage of comments complaining how unfair it was that you got in Sky. I had the ahi pizza, which was tasty and well-presented. I’d love to try more of their food. People: Ranges from the young to the trying-to-be-young. It’s a good people-watching atmosphere, and I suggest you come with several friends to do so whilst drinking very delicious cocktails. Music: They usually have a DJ indoors. On the balcony, it was mostly crowd-pleasing hip hop on the night I went. Verdict: I generally dislike nightclubs, but I liked this one.

Had a great time but it will depend on what youre in the mood for. Parking is off of seaside ave. When driving on Kalakaua make a left at H&M. Go up the ramp before Ross’s. After reading the reviews… I was a little intimidated but we decided to check it out after work today. I just turned 40 this year so i guess im now in the older crowd that cant handle standing in line paying cover and hanging out till 2am anymore! Lol Made reservations for 515pm perfect! Although Unilocal says they open at 5pm they actually open at 4pm. Easy finding parking no lines and we had our choice of seating indoors or out. Outside deck was gorgeous but we chose indoors for the AC. I loved that it was a mellow laid back yet trendy crowd. Tried the sashimi pizza sounds funky but it was good its similar to spicy ahi on flat won ton chips. They have a similar appetizer at Gyotaku. The hummus with pita bread was good too. No Happy Hour specials(darn) but the cocktails were in the 11 $ price range pretty good. Ambiance indoors was laid back. I agree with the other reviewer the live music was a little loud it was kinda hard to hear each other. Bathroom was gorgeous complete with a view! The service was really good and they were attentive and professional, refilling waters and clearing plates. We left about 8p and the place was pretty crowded by now, apparently they remove the couches and it will eventually turn into a dance floor for the club later tonight. They validates parking and I didn’t need to pay anything for parking. Overall I think it’s a really classy modern hip place and I’d go back again for drinks and pupus. Such a nice vibe to the place. However if you’re planning to go late for the club it’s probably going to be packed with lines and cover charge.
