I had good service. The staff was polite and the food was pretty good. I’m going back for sure. It is one of the better phở joints I’ve been to here. It looks like it’s going to be sketchy from the outside but I promise its not.

Pretty good food. I had the chicken phở, my sister had beef phở with flank, my niece had vermicelli with BBQ pork. Everything was delicious. We gobbled it in about 10 min.

My wife loves this restaurant. Clean and quiet place. If you like phở, definitely give it a shot

I had very high hopes for this place as I am usually a huge fan of local small random shops but my experience here was really disappointing. I stopped in to order some fresh rolls and papaya salad to go, figuring these would be quick to prepare as I needed to get back for a presentation. I waited over 1 hour for my food, after multiple other customers came, ate, and left. When I finally got back to eat my food, the shrimp was limp, the salad was sour and not crunchy at all and overall nothing outstanding redeemed the experience and now I’m left hungry and frustrated. Was hoping to return to try the noodles but will likely skip that now.

PRO: very reasonably priced, very wide selection(besides just phở). CON: very basic diner style décor. Came here twice so far. I had and enjoyed the Bun cha gio tom noung, and shrimp curry.

The service is a flat zero stars. Mostly empty restaurant and it took me than 30 minutes to get two bahn mis. The pork sandwiches were good, but not enough meat for their size and small sandwich overall. Won’t be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. The ridiculous wait time kills it

Let me start off with a disclaimer that I only eat my mothers phở. With that being said, this review is for food items other than phở. Phở Minh Thu is my dads go to with all his taxi cab buddies. You’ll regularly see taxi cab drivers dining here on a daily basis. What my dad appreciates about this place is that they’ll serve your rice plates with something that literally translates to green onion oil(by request). This is my dads crack. The rice plates here are so good! The bbq pork is always done just like how they do it back home(what dad has said). By that we mean, juicy, tender, and the right amount of burnt edges. Moving on, my dad introduced me to this place and I have fallen in love with their rice noodle dishes(vermicelli). I consistently order the vermicelli with spring rolls and shrimp. It’s just so good here! They also portion out the lettuce and noodles perfectly(big deal!!!). And it is always so refreshing and filling when I order this. As another note: fish sauce. This place makes real fish sauce. Not the diluted excuse that many others imitate. And if you don’t know, fish sauce is a big deal in Vietnamese cuisine. We use it in almost everything. Weak fish sauce = weak flavor. But other than the food, stepping into this place is like a step into phở restaurants back in the mother land(minus the usage of Christmas lights as decoration). I urge you to please try Phở Minh Thu if you haven’t.

This spot is barely a 5 min walk from our apartment, and it’s a gem! No, there isn’t a great atmosphere and it’s not the cleanest place, but it’s fantastic food for a good price, especially considering all the surrounding places tend to be very expensive(duh, it’s Waikiki). I got the phở ga and spring rolls and it was a perfect portion for me, who doesn’t eat a lot at once. Will be back ASAP

This review is on the Vegetable/Tofu phở… because, well that’s pretty much the only thing I order when it comes to phở :) I love a good fresh light broth with veggies and this place has it. They also give a good portion of broccoli, tofu and carrots. I’ve also had they’re banh mi but it’s not as good as their phở. My bf usually orders the combo too and says hands down it’s the best tasting broth he’s had. I guess it’s really up to ones preference but we both can agree this is a great spot. PS: parking lot is a biiiiiitch(about 7– stalls) be patient, or look for street parking.

Very good food and great service. When I went to order the shredded pork vermicelli, Kenny suggested I get the pork sirloin instead. The other lady there was very helpful too. Made sure I was okay with using chop sticks and offered assistance in how to eat my dish because it was my first time! What a gem!

What a cute, hidden and charming place this truly is. The owners work the restaurant and are very calm and accommodating. The food is always consistently good and the other guests are usually very interesting. The traditional that means cuisine is delicious. I always get the photo and a side of summer rolls with extra peanut sauce. Never fails to satisfy my appetite along with my taste buds. I’ve always been impressed for the valued as well. The prices are very fair the portions are good and the service is very nice. Of all that means restaurants I’ve been to in my life this is definitely one of the nicer ones especially since the owners are very that minis and the flavors and tastes are very authentic. This is a standard go to restaurant over and over and over for me and my family and friends. We will be going there regularly as long as I’m living here in Hawaii and help enough to go out for food. I always feel better after eating here than I did before I got there. Healthy and delicious really going the same sentence but this restaurant definitely is very healthy and very delicious. I’ll probably see you there if you stop by.

This place is as close as you can get to Vietnamese food in Vietnam. The food tastes like your eating at your grandmother’s house. I’m not quite sure how it’s only 3.5 stars, I think it might be from tourists who are here and expect great service as we are in Waikiki. The one con is prob the service, but I always put food above service though. I recommend any of the barbecue pork and rice plates or any of their soups.

Very cute mom and pop. The food is excellent and fresh. They even have a parking lot which is hard to come by in Waikiki. I always get the phở. It’s definitely above average :)

Oh my stars! ONO OnO! Simply delicious! Hands down the best Phở I’ve had on this island! I had the beef combo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Super convenient location in the heart of Waikiki and the owner was a joy to talk to. I will definitely be back soon!

We are this restaurant twice during our week long trip to Hawaii. We loved the comfort food of the phở, vermicelli and rice dishes. We wanted to try their bun rieu special but both days we went it was not available(sold out, or just not made that day). It was a special that was advertised on each table so it was a bit misleading. The waiter was quiet but pretty attentive with waters once we sat down and he seemed to be liked by all the locals that came in. The area seemed a bit sketchy but not too bad. We walked both times and we were fine. This place is definitely authentic, no frills, comfort Vietnamese food. We would definitely go back.

There is free parking here and that’s rare for Waikiki! We’ve passed by here so many times that we finally decided to try this place out today. The restaurant was larger than we expected. There were only a few tables occupied when we came for lunch but as we ate our meal, the place got busy! It’s very clean inside and they were very prompt in giving us menus with water. There was so much to choose from that it took us awhile to order. Phở was our final decision with Summer Rolls as our appetizer. I got the medium size combination phở minus tendons and my bb got the large combination phở with the rare meat on the side. We asked for the bean sprouts to be steamed but it came out raw. That was disappointing after the waitress told us that wouldn’t be a problem. The Summer Rolls were normal size and taste was about average. Phở here came in good portions and the veggies were fresh. Too bad the broth was nothing special and didn’t have much taste. Overall, we’re very glad to have finally tried this place. It’s about 2.5 stars on food but because the prices are really cheap, they get a .5 star bump up to 3 stars. This restaurant has great prices compared to all the Vietnamese restaurants on Oahu and they are located in Waikiki out of all places!
