Best. Almond. Cookies. Ever. I brought them back to the mainland and munched on them and felt bad I didn’t buy more when I ran out. They should have a mail order site for these cookies. They’re that good!

New Lin Fong is a great bakery located in Chinatown that serves up Chinese dessert-​type items like rice cake, almond cookies and tea cookies. These items are also sold wholesale to other shops and restaurants so if you have ordered them elsewhere, it may have actually come from New Lin Fong. They also offer seasonal items that include gao and moon cakes during Chinese New Year and Moon Festival, respectively.
Everything at New Lin Fong is good and worth a try. Don’t expect an elaborate storefront and employees with fancy uniforms and hats, but do expect products served up very consistently for decades with the owners often running the shop personally. Just watch their business hours because they close very early — 12:00pm or 1:00pm depending on the day of the week.

This little bakery in Chinatown had such amazing cookies. The almond cookies were crunchy and sweet, but not too sweet! The tea cookies were nice and soft and made me want more. They owners/​workers were all extremely welcoming and even offered to give us samples of the cookies when we were still deciding. I know that that behavior is just common courtesy and should be expected from a lot of businesses, but with little hole in the wall businesses, especially in market places like this, you have no idea what kind of attitude you will be met with. Great service and great cookies… This place does its job!

To be honest, the look of it isn’t exactly flattering.
But the taste is amazing!!!
Not too sweet, but yet very very tasty.

I’ve always passed by this shop specializing in almond cookies, when I walk back to the parking lot. 1 manapua is enough to satisfy me for an early lunch. The nice thing about this place is, you’re allowed to buy just one. I loved it! Some people don’t like the white bun covering, and even tear it off to get to the meat filling. I love the white bun part, and this manapua was fat, and filling very tasty with very little pork fat. Good deal at $ 1.50.

The most freshest tea cookies in town! This place is one of the distributors for tea cookies so if u want fresh tea cookies go to the source! It’s cheaper too! They also have delish almond cookies small and big sizes! Oh and not to mention that there is rice cake also! Omg there are other things that they make but let me tell u… U gotta check them out for these items… If u eat tea cookies, rice cake and almond cookies you gotta try this place out! They are da bomb!!!

Hands down the Best Rice Cake in Town!!! Actually it’s the best rice cake I’ve ever tried. If you want to buy a whole pan of rice cake for a party, they can cut it to the number a pieces you want. Plus, if you get to know them well enough, you’ll get «roadside» delivery!

New Lin Fong has been around island I can remember and they have remained consistently good throughout the decades.
People come here for two things:
Sweet rice cakes and almond cookies. They are the best period. Their rice cakes are so addictive, I can eat 4 – 5 pieces in one sitting. I’m not a very big fan of almond cookies, but they are definitely the best.
Park on street is always ideal as municipal parking is a bit far from each side.

Some of the best almond cookies in chinatown! I went around and tried them all and this one was the crunchiest and most tasty. The prices are really good too, under $ 3 for a dozen of the small ones. For some reason the smaller ones taste better. Also fresh rice cakes!

Picked up some almond cookies here on a whim and when we tried them later that day, we realized we had to get more! No little half almond on top but the best almond cookie I have had. They boxed up 5 bags of cookies for us since we demolished the first bag. This place only sells a few things but you gotta go for the almond cookies.

You would think there are tons of places to get the bread buns to wrap duck in Chinatown but you guessed wrong! One day, I walked into every bakery I could find in search of these buns my fiancée so dearly loved and with no luck. I finally asked someone where I could find them and they referred me here. Since then, I’ve always made a special trip to New Lin Fong to buy some buns with my Nam Phong roast duck. Very reasonably priced and they take credit cards! Last Chinese New Year I also picked up some almond cookies and they were delicious. I’ll definitely continue to come back!
Street parking sucks but Municipal parking is not too far from here.

One of the places to buy Almond cookies for me the also have moon cake and some other items but mainly for me I get the Almond Cookies which are pretty good and the price is reasonable. Parking is in public lots or on the street.
Selection is very limited and basically is moon cake and Almond Cookies and a few other things.
