Kind of a weird name, with 2 apostrophies. This plate-lunch place run by Filipinos is in the space where«The Good L & L» used to be in Puck’s Alley. Oh, how I miss that L & L’s teri beef saimin &BBQ fries. Yes, hot french fries drenched in teriyaki sauce. All other L & L’s just do not measure up. Anyway, after L & L left there was this other place called«Turtles BBQ». The sign and menu for Turtles is still up inside the restaurant. It’s kind of confusing, because it seems like one would order from that menu, but no, you have to go outside to look on THAT board or grab a take-out menu to see what your real options are at King’s Diner’s Drive In. The woman I ordered from was cool and willing to please. I asked if the mac salad had tuna in it(because if it did I would get the green salad option), and she said, «No, but would you like me to add some?» That was nice of her! I got the meat jun plate lunch. The meat jun was pretty good, but slightly over-cooked. The sauce was a little too sweet, and I had to add some garlic-chili sauce to it. It was a good sauce, just not the normal meat jun sauce. There’s a lot of Korean options that probably real Koreans wouldn’t like, but a lot of more local people would. I’m going to try their mandoo and saimin next time to see how it is. Kind of nervous to try their Hawaiian plate w/lau lau. There’s tons of options for burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs. It didn’t say on the take-out menu if there are hours for breakfast. ALL of the breakfast menu items are under 5 $! I’m hoping it’s available at all hours. That would be awesome. They offer family packs and catering options by the tray. They will deliver orders over $ 200. Ooooh, I’m gonna take advantage of that sometime… Vegetable tempura, chicken katsu, potato or mac salad, chicken musubi and more! Yes!!!
