So finally tried out Jet’s! Being from hawaii and hearing about it. Been wanting to try their Friday Hawaiian specials and ordered the Laulau with Beef Stew. Comes with the local style 2x scoop rice and mac salad. The food, mouth watering lau lau and home cooking stew. Looking forward to trying out their other plates and breakfast.

I found Jets about 5 months ago and have been coming here since. I usually order the fly(fried) rice with over easy eggs and crispy bacon. First, my fried rice never came out less than piping hot. When I eat there, the fried rice is hot all the way to my last bite. It’s doesn’t stop there. It’s pretty plain, with fish cake and green onions, but the taste brings me back to the old Leeward Bowls fried rice which was winners!!! Lastly, the amount of bacon and is amazing!!! At least 4 or five meaty slices. Not no microwave bacon neither. This is my go to place for fried rice. I love my fried rice and this is probably the best tasting fried rice around. Like I said, it’s nothing fancy, rather plain, but the taste is definitely there!!! This is a great hidden gem !!!

Today, Jets gave me burnt beef hash. Normally pretty good. Hopefully today was just a bad day. Will be back for breakfast usually good food at fair prices.

Wow! This place is great! Fast delicious food at a fair price. Staff is very friendly and attentative. I work nearby so I often take my lunch break here and chat with the nice Asian folks that own this quaint family business. My favorite is the spicy pork or beef stew. Gotta try this!!! They don’t have a website so i follow them on Instagram @gotjets to see their daily specials. Make sure to call ahead for the specials because they run out quick! I was talking to the nice girl at the front and she was telling me how the food is all fresh and that a lot of items are made from scratch.

Front lady wasn’t very happy. Maybe she was having a bad day. The place is plain. So I took a star off for that. The food was ONO. I had laulau with poke and my wife had the stew. We both loved it. You must try here.

We came here on a recommendation from the super-sweet girl at the rental car place. We had just gotten off a red eye and hadn’t eaten a real meal since Miami so when she suggested a nearby local-style meal it sounded like heaven. We were so hungry we even overlooked the dingy warehouse neighborhood and Spartan look of the place.(Understatement.) Good thing we did, too. The teri beef plate was awesome, as were the eggs and the Portuguese sausage. But what really stood out was the fried rice. OMG!!! In Miami we don’t eat this kind of thing for breakfast but I could really get used to it. Oh… And did I mention that we paid less than $ 13 for what ended up feeding us twice that day?

For the past few years, Jets has been a morning lifesaver for me. I frequently stop by to grab breakfast on my way to work when I don’t have time to make breakfast or stop at my favorite out-of-the-way coffee shop. Jets is located in the business district near the airport and has been a great place for me to grab breakfast before heading to work. Parking | They have a small parking area near the entrance. You’re lucky if you find street parking in this area. Restaurant | They have a fairly large seating area with tables and chairs. Jets is the type of place you go strictly for the good-tasting, cheap food. There are no frills here… the restaurant isn’t attractive at all. Their daily specials are written on their whiteboard on the left as you enter the restaurant. You can also view their specials on Instagram(@gotjets). Food | Jets serves some really good breakfast and lunch. My go to breakfast is their fried rice, eggs and bacon. Their fried rice is definitely a local treat as it comes with Kamaboko(fish cake). Their clubhouse sandwich has always been a lunch favorite of mine. Other things on the menu are shoyu pork and barbeque chicken. They have extras at their counter like candy bars and a condiment bar on next to the front counter. They have a double fridge where you can help yourself to drinks. A good variety of drinks are available from orange juice to Arizona Iced Tea to Powerade. Price | Jets prices are very reasonable for the food quality and the amount of food they give. Everything on their menu is priced pretty low even if it’s not a special of the day. They accept cards for payment and require a $ 10 minimum to use a card. Jets is the perfect mom-and-pop breakfast and lunch joint for this area. The food’s always good, cheap and I never have to wait long for my food.
