The food and concept was interesting and good but I’m pretty sure the guys working back there hate life and anything that has life and they make no efforts to hide that fact. The Johnny Dip was damn good and I am not even a fan of ramen. Hooray for food; Boo-urns for service.

Yes, I’m giving it 5 stars. I liked it that much considering I went almost everyday should tell you about just how much I liked it. To bad they were only here for a limited time. The Ikemen Dip Ramen Was my favorite. For me I loved the bonito flavor. Even going as far as purchasing an extra bowl of Adachi Bonito Flakes for $ 3 to give it an even stronger bonito flavor. The broth went well with rice that I side ordered after I finished the noodles. As a person who is usually a big eater this was really filling.

I jumped on the band wagon and was excited to eat this ramen… but to me, it was way too sweet(the bonito one and the mushroom one)…the broth gets cold fast… and there’s nothing really WoW about it. I tried my friend’s tomato one though. That seemed ok, but I’m not rushing back. Unilocal 365 Challenge #343/365

Finally got a chance to check out Shirokiya’s expanded food court. Very impressive! Felt like we were in a Tokyo department store! Atmosphere: As you exit the escalator, you’re greeted by a gated common area with a floral lattice ceiling. Food booths line the perimeter as well as the middle portions. If you’ve ever been to a Japanese department store with the food court on the bottom level, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Bustling, vendors shouting their welcomes and I think food offerings, vibrant food colors, bentos abound… It’s a total Japanese foodie’s heaven. Food: Zebra Dip Ramen — Dip was an au jus made with green onions & garlic, which was very tasty but it wasn’t(heat) hot at all. Not sure if that’s how it normall is or not. Noodles were cooked perfectly. The tonkotsu topping was broken-up and not whole like in the pictures, but still tasted very good. A bit pricey at $ 10. Overall: The flavors of the other dips didn’t sound appealing to me, so I probably won’t go back again anytime soon, as there are other ramen booths to try.

Ate the Johnny Dip. Italian flavor with tomato and basil in tonkotsu broth. Its ramen noodles with a dipping broth. Broth is warm and by the time you done its luke warm. Best to eat fast when broth still warm. Will go back to try others. Had to wait over ten mins for order and wasnt busy. My friend’s order was much faster and he ordered the same thing. His broth wasn’t warm it was practically cold by the time he was half done.
