Great place. Cheap and affordable. Taxi cabs are expensive but the base offers a cheap bus system. I didn’t have reservations and they were almost fully booked in mid March so I recommend booking early! Good luck!

Was here for Special Olympics. My Olympiad was complaining that we would be housed in «The Barracks»(I think that was next door in the«Naval Transient» building to the north) so this was a surprise to me(He claimed it was the«Officers» quarters, but it’s a hotel!!) Good: * A/C * TV/Cable, * Keurig Machine with assortment of K-Cups. * Comfy Bed * Basic set of toiletries. Meh: * Free Star Advertiser in rack in front lobby. * Wi-Fi is «picky;» my smartphone’s speeds got«throttled» a few times or completely dropped out on property. My Olympiad’s Laptop refused to connect to the free WiFi. * McDonalds in spitting distance; Taco Bell/Pizza Hut a few minute’s walk at the«Club Pearl» complex. * Despite the other reviewer, there was very few convenient electrical outlets, especially at the desk. Perhaps it depends on the room? * One of the rooms noted the«complimentary» snack wasn’t complimentary(it didn’t have a sticker like what was on the snacks in the room we were in) so they hesitated to grab it lest Special Olympics got charged for it. Bad: * Bathroom is RIDICULOUSLY small. Like closet sized small. Standing only shower, toilet and sink dominate nearly a third of the open space if you count the shower’s open space. * Vending Machines are on the 4th Floor, not Ground Floor or somewhere more convenient. Not a considerable good amount of items to choose from. One held detergents, one was the rotating vender where you have to line up the selection to the vending area and slide open to get, one was a Coke machine that accepted Credit Cards, and one was the old style candy vendor. The rotating vendor had busted Monster Energy Drinks that appeared to have been previously frozen and stuffed in without regard if the cans were compromised or not. 3 of the 4 machines are also old and two won’t accept newer bills(like $ 5 bills for items that may cost $ 2 or more, which was the rotating vendor and the candy machine). The next nearest Vending Machines are at the Tennis Club between the Hotel and McDonalds. * Speaking of basic sundries, I thought there was a PX nearby: Turns out it’s a Navy Exchange Fleet Store, which is COMPLETELY different(I didn’t venture to it cause I thought it was a PX and that only«enlisted» folks were allowed in). There needs to be a «convenient» Supermarket or Convenience Store-Type deal in reasonable walking distance from this place. I was DYING for some«emergency» OTC Allergy or Cold Medicine in the morning cause of the dry weather and the sea air. I think the nearest one for basic needs is on South Street near the NCIS offices(I could be wrong, the bus was racing down the street to get a good look). * The place is dated: The rooms appear to have been updated considerably, but you can see the age of the building, especially in the manini walkways, the«Futura Stone» lobby, and the creaky elevators and«public» bathrooms. Oh, and it’s really apparent ADA Non-Compliance(irony). * TV is hard to operate. One universal controller controls three different devices so it’s easy to spend a good amount of time trying to fiddle with it. Selecting channels is sometimes frustrating: there is a listing in a folder on the desk, but in the back of the book. Plus many channels are«blocked» and you don’t know this till you select said channel. Load times are also bad. If my TV at home can load channels on BASIC cable in a second, why does Digital take 5 seconds to load? Overall 3: would stay again, needs to be upgraded abit.

The room is neat and spacious(for a Hawaii room) with a/c, fan, desk, chair, 3 lamps, 2 nightstands, phone, and closet. I like that it has many outlets to charge our phones, laptops, etc. The alarm clock/radio has MP3 capability. We used the wake-up call service and the alarm. There is also a 6 drawer dresser nice and big. Each room has cable tv and Dvd player too. My fav is the recliner in the room. Relaxing place to do this review. The complimentary snack and bottled H20 is hubby’s fav. We both enjoy having the lanai to relax on and drink our Keurig coffee. Oh, the bathroom is small. Full toiletries. Like that they provide toothpaste, shave cream, deodorant, etc. We use the laundry room for long trips. The free washer and dryer helps out a lot. Business center is 24 hours! 1 star for customer service, 5 stars for price, 2 stars room and amenities.
