When you think of phở, of course MSG pops into your mind… I think the broth here has less MSG than the other phở places, which is a good thing. BUT, when I do have my frequent phở cravings, I do want my broth to have flavor. Food came out piping hot, stayed steaming until the end. The lady here is very pleasant and nice. It took awhile for our food to come out but it’s probably cause we were the only ones there and we had dinner at about 5pm. Vegetables looked clean and fresh. They only have one size as mentioned in previous reviews and it’s a good size — not too large, and not too small. I left feeling full.

You can find this great Phở restaurant in a corner of Kapalama Shopping Center. The owner, a very nice soft spoken woman from Vietnam, is much like a sweet mother. She greets you at the door and guides you to a table. She’s polite and caring. I really enjoyed the Chicken Phở P: the broth was soo nice and delicious! Plus she gives a HUGE plate of basil, sprouts, lemon wedges, and jalapenos. It was soo Mmmhmm good. This place doesn’t get too busy probably because very few people know of it’s existence. It’s only been open for 3 months now and according to the owner it is doing well because they’ve started to have regulars. I know that I will be one of them! This place is sooooooooo great with the pleasant atmosphere, gentle service, and DELICIOUSPHO!!! I will definitely go back and try out the other items on the menu, if they are half as good as the phở, I will have just found my regular phở getaway.

1÷30÷11, Went to Chez Saigon Phở in the Kapalama Shopping Center by Palama Super Market in Kalihi and had their lunch special phở combination for $ 6.00, which is from 11am to 3pm daily otherwise any other time you will be charged $ 6.95. The portions are huge and they only have one size, large. You will need to ask if the other phos on the menu are at the same special price. The bowl came piping hot with a lot of veggies/jalepenos to add to the rich broth, it was so good. I would have given this place 5 stars but the spring rolls were a little expensive at $ 6.75 for the appetizers, so I didn’t try them. The picture shows several pieces(4 or 5) so it may be worth the price. I’ll defintely be back to try the other phos(beef balls, rare steak, brisket, oxtail, chicken, tendon, tripe or seafood. Delicious!!!
