First time here last week for breakfast… The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and open with high ceilings and comfortable couch like seats. I had the ricotta pancakes which were delicious with the honey comb butter. My server was Kiani and she was great. Very attentive, helpful with the menu and kept my water filled. She even suggested some fun activities to do on the island. Would definitely come back for the pancakes and the service!

Bills is a great break from the typical chain Waikiki. Great food and wonderful service. The ricotta pancakes are amazing. But so was the steak, chicken, salad and prawns. Nice portion size as well. Give this place a try

Had a business lunch at Bills today. Table space is good, but the place is better suited to be marketed as a family restaurant. Screaming kids, and loud ambiance. Nothing more annoying than having three meals come out at different times. I ordered the chopped salad. They forgot the salad dressing, so basically it was lettuce on a plate for 18.00 plus dollars. Banana pancakes looked great, but most americans dont eat pancakes for lunch, unless youre sleeping in. Leon our server, was exceptional and profusely apologized for the salad mishap. Had a great cappucino, and the hibiscus lime soda was refreshing… This is my second experience trying this place. Not sure I would give it a third chance.

Amazing food! Skipped Hard Rock Café and come here! Hubs has the organic beef burger. Guys, he’s picky about his meat. He said it was the best burger! I had the shrimp and runs burger. Divine! We also had the fries. Skinny herbed fries. Also, the mint tea is steeped with real mint! It’s a must! Omg they heard we are leaving Hawaii tonight and we did not try their famous ricotta hot cakes. So they are sending us with a free order!!!

We’ve been wanting to try this place out for so long and and after a sunrise Valentine’s Day hike was perfect. You park at Bank of Hawaii on Beachwalk and walk over. They do validate so parking is $ 6. We walked over thinking it would be busy because it’s Valentine’s Day, but it was actually quiet. I didn’t catch our servers name, but he was surprised to know that we’re local residents. He mentioned that most of their customers are Japanese or Australian, and reason for locals not wanting to eat there is due to portion size and that they want a lot of sauce on their dishes and they’re not about that. They serve fresh and organic ingredients. Our server mentioned their 3 popular dishes: –Ricotta hotcakes, banana and honeycomb butter –Sweet corn fritters, roast tomato, spinach, bacon and avocado salsa –full aussie — scrambled organic eggs, sourdough toast, cumin roast tomato, bacon, miso mushrooms, pork and fennel sausage They were all delicious but i must say my fave were the Ricotta pancakes, and Sweet corn fritters. So yummy especially because it’s fresh out the kitchen. As for beverages we also had their 100% certified organic coffee and my daughter had their fresh squeezed OJ. Overall I think this is a great place to try. I definitely recommend this spot. Pricing is moderate, food was great. I place Bills on my top five fave breakfast spots.

Best pancakes in the universe. On Saturday a friend and I arrived at about 9:30 for breakfast and were immediately seated, which was nice. We split the ricotta pancakes and a full Aussie. The ambience is perfect for brunch– airy, full of light, lots of open space. I haven’t been for dinner, but I’ve had their milkshakes at the bar downstairs. The service is always great, and for whatever reason are the servers are more attractive than average? I do not know why this is. My only issue is the rather exorbitant pricing. $ 15 for a plate of pancakes or $ 5 for an Earl Grey tea is fitting of Waikiki, but establishes bills Sydney as more of a special occasion type of place rather than somewhere I can afford to regularly visit. Overall, I love this place! If you only get one thing, make it the ricotta pancakes. They serve them until 2PM.

Update 2÷12÷16: Christina C was our server today and she made the experience amazing! We were greeted immediately, the menu was explained and food came out quickly. And the ricotta pancakes… yum-o! I’ll be back again & I’ll make sure to request Christina — — — — — — — — — — — — — – This restaurant was hard to review. When my meal was over I feel like I have a love/hate relationship with Bills. Love: The atmosphere is trendy with just the right amount of hipster vibe. I started with the frappé, which was uh-mazing. I only wish it was a little bigger. Haha. The scrambled eggs were as good as all the other Unilocalers made them out to be. Rumor is they’re made with heavy cream. Tried the gravlax and it was SO tasty. It was like lox, but with a more luxurious texture. And the ricotta pancakes were super light and fluffy. Yum-o! Hate: It was one of the hottest days ever and we were sat on the lanai instead of inside with the AC. With the heat/humidity our water glasses were constantly empty. After our party was sat our waitress was MIA. By the time she came back, it had moved from brunch to lunch. We had to beg to order brunch items. Also our waitress suffered from RBF. She acted as though serving our table was the last thing she wanted to do. Like many love/hate relationships I’ll probably give Bills another chance. The food was epic & as long as we get a different server I’m sure it’ll be a better experience.

My lunch buddy suggested bills Sydney after our original plans didn’t pan out for brunch. We were meeting our friends Angel and Anthony and the three of us haven’t been here so we were excited after reading some reviews. We planned to meet at 10:45am but we arrived a little early due to the parking situation in Waikiki. You can park at BOH across the street but don’t forget to get validation. Other options are to look for street parking, park at Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center or Embassy Suites. When we arrived, the hostess downstairs was friendly and assisted us when we were ready. She gave us a receipt to bring upstairs for our table. You have the option of stairs or elevator. We opted for the stairs but probably use the elevator in the future. Another hostess upstairs took our receipt and walked us to our table. Shortly after that, our server greeted us with menus and asked if we wanted anything else aside from water. We browsed and order drinks. She took our food order after the drinks arrived. I’m so glad we ordered drinks! The food didn’t arrive for at least 45 minutes. No one came to check on us during that time! When the food finally came, only 3 dishes came out from the 5 that were ordered. The last 2 dishes took another 10 – 15 minutes to arrive at the table. We weren’t sure why it took so long since one of the dishes was the Scrambled Organic Eggs and Sourdough Toast. I ordered the Full Aussie which was delivered in the first group of dishes and that has way more items than just eggs and toast. The Full Aussie had many different flavors and components to the dish. I wanted the eggs over easy but they only prepare their eggs scrambled. Maybe they have the organic egg mix in the milk carton containers vs eggs still in the shell? The eggs did come out light and fluffy but I would have enjoyed it more if it was prepared over easy. My lunch buddy and I shared an order of the Ricotta Hotcakes and that was legit. I don’t really care for hotcakes/pancakes but this was good. Finally, my lunch buddy shared a piece of her Sweet Corn Fritter which was also quite good. If you don’t mind going into Waikiki to look for parking plus wait a long time for food then this isn’t a bad spot to check out for breakfast/brunch. Food is good but on the pricey side. Not to mention probably paying for parking after your meal. Overall, 3.5 stars as it was a fairly positive experience. Thank you so much for using the $ 10 gift card lunch buddy! You’re the best!

G’day mate! Second time around here haven’t been here in a year and I finally brought my boyfriend with me. Lol. We sat in the patio, nice breezy day in the heart of Waikiki. Pretty nice ambiance both in and outage always. I ordered ricotta hot cakes and my boyfriend had the full Aussie breakfast. I must say that ricotta hot cakes never cease to amaze me. Buttery soft melt in your mouth, gotta be the best pancake I’ve ever had in a long time. Overall, our server was was nice and helpful, however I don’t want to say this and come off a negative Unilocaler but my boyfriend and I was disappointed at the end. I personally have never experienced it but my bf did many times. Customers are always right, and you get what you get. So basically the other server wasn’t satisfied with our tips so she addressed it to us. I mean she should be thankful enough that we left tips, others wouldn’t even put any tips. Well it was definitely an interesting experience.

Love this place — I’ve had two breakfast and dinner here and I think I might have breakfast tomorrow… Best avo on toast with a poached egg. Just starts the day off right! The coffee is 10⁄10 and they make a flat white! I also had Bills green juice and it was delicious. Just the right amount of everything. As an American living in Australia for the last 30 years, I must say it was nice to find a place, after 3 weeks of tripping around the States, that felt like home! We’d eating at a few nice places over that time but they were few and far between. The space is lovely with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams. For dinner we went with another couple and the 4 of us shared the poke for appetizer which was our first time trying poke. We all really liked it and would definitely order it again. For dinner we had the fish curry, the schnitzel, the sticky pork, and the steak. While my steak was cooked well, it was a bit fatty and gristly, so I was a bit disappointed. It came with fries which we thought were some of the best we’ve had on our trip around the USA. I would have like some vegetables with it but didn’t realize they were ordered separately as sides and the waiter didn’t mention it but my mistake really as it is on the menu that way. The curry was lovely and a nice portion size. The boys were both very happy with the chicken schnitzel and the pork dish. With the pork slightly edging out the chicken for the winner on the night. We shared two desserts, banana fitters and the brownie ice cream thing, and they were both nice enough. We all thought the brownie texture was odd though, not really what I would call a brownie, more cake like. We had ordered coffees thinking they would be nice with dessert but the timing was way off and our coffees came within minutes of ordering them, while we waited ages for dessert. It would have been nice if that was organized better. A special mention to our waiter on the second morning, Jay! He was an excellent waiter and he was friendly and fun. When he saw us looking at a map of the island he asked us if we had any questions. A friendly local with insiders knowledge of the island was just what we needed. Thanks for the advice Jay, we had an awesome day kayaking and checking out the areas you mentioning around the island! One other thing worth mentioning was the reservation. I made our dinner reservations thru Unilocal the evening before and when we were there for breakfast the next morning(yes we went twice in one day haha) I asked the staff to check our reservations for that evening. Nothing was there so we booked directly with them. The email then came thru from Unilocal later in the afternoon saying we had a booking… so I’m not sure why the delay but I think that needs some fixing. All and all a lovely place and very happy to have found it while staying in Waikiki.

is it bad that I came here two days after a flight from Sydney? I don’t think so. Two lunches, both quite wonderful, from a menu that’s identical in parts to the menu at his first restaurant in the Sydney neighborhood called Darlinghurst. Sweet corn fritters, roast tomato,(with Moroccan spices), spinach, bacon(that’s AUSTRALIAN bacon — closer to Canadian bacon than ours but thin cut and grilled), and(a well-seasoned) avocado salsa. Good wine list. Better long black than I had anywhere in Australia. The avocado and tuna poke the next day was excellent too. Nice room as well. As I see it, this restaurant tells you how people eat in Australia, and, for that, it’s worth visiting. I know I’ll have at least one meal there whenever I’m in Honolulu again.

Is it bad that I came here a week after coming back from Australia? .Maybe a little bit since I’ve defos been spoiled with so many brekkie options. I came here for lunch with my friend and absolutely loved the coffee here. I’ve been craving a really nice cup of coffee, and I was so satisfied. I’m a flat white gal so I’ve been overjoyed to find a lovely place to get it. Will defos be back for the café portion of the restaurant in the morning! The food was good. I wasn’t terribly impressed by anything but I wasn’t disappointed either! My friend and I got the ricotta pancakes, the margarita flatbread pizza, and the chicken schnitzel. The ingredients were all really fresh, especially the mozzarella cheese on the pizza, which was delicious. Everything was quite good and the flavors were simple but blended well with each other. I loved that nothing was overly flavored, and you could add salt/pepper to your taste. Such a cute place for brunch!

Was lucky that I got an opportunity to try at this restaurant, the Unilocal allows me to make a reservation ahead of time although somehow the reservation was not registered in the computer system I was still very fortunate to get a seat at the table promptly. The overall theme of the restaurant felt very retro and cabin-like with extra heightened ceiling and boarder décor which provided feelings of coziness and spaciousness. Had noticed the crowd was mingled with varieties and accommodated multi-lingual menu so was pretty impressed by sensitivity. I ordered a small place with pita bread, falafel, beet root, zucchini, with chick pea and I guess it was maybe yogurt dressing… not entirely familiar… also had a side order of Asparagus and was loving it. Has vegetarian menu which was also a plus. It really would have been much better if I could use the check-in offer but I guess maybe next time around when there is a chance.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here about three times now for dinner and have been increasingly disappointed each time. We both loved the food a lot, which was the reason we kept coming back but the service and now we think even the food have been sub-par. We went for dinner again and had a party of five people. Three of us were seated while the other two were parking. We got drinks right away but when our friends sat down, no one came to offer them anything for about 10 – 15 min until the waitress came by to take our order. This seems weird because it looks like there are a lot of people working and there were not many people actually eating in the restaurant. We got the hummus plate for an appetizer which is always really good, but we didn’t get any extra plates to put it on so we had to pass around the main plate to share it. My four friends ordered the schnitzel for the main course which we’ve had before and liked, I ordered the Bianco flatbread pizza with cherry tomatoes, caramelized onions, ricotta and sausage which was actually amazing… however, I had to cut up the tomatoes, basil leaves, and onions to be able to take a bite out of the pizza because the toppings were so big! The taste was great but the pizza itself could be improved by chopping the toppings up more so you can actually eat it with all the flavors together when it’s served to you. My friends liked the schnitzel but it looked like there was less corn and slaw then when they’ve served it before so it seemed way less impressive when we had been talking it up so much. At the end we were handed the check all as one, normally I think they should ask how we would like it if there are five people, some are couples and would like to pay separately. It was harder for us to figure out the bill but it ended up okay. I think overall, the food tastes really good but the service mars what could be an excellent restaurant. It’s in a great location in Waikiki, is unique in its menu and the layout of the actual place is modern and has the potential for a great atmosphere. I think with some small improvements in their dinner menu and overall service, this place could earn a lot more money and be somewhere I would recommend to people when they traveled here. Right now I would recommend a different place if people wanted to eat in downtown Waikiki.

So I came here for lunch right after finishing the Honolulu Marathon 2015 mainly because the marathon had a special deal for marathon finishers or technically, people who paid to run the marathon haha. The deal was we get a complimentary short stack of their famous ricotta pancakes! It was da bomb! But anyways, on to the review. Location It is conveniently located right near the beginning of Beachwalk dr. right next to the Hard Rock Café. The only negative, I would have to say in regards to attempting to come to here, as well as many other places in Waikiki, is the damn parking. There is like two open street parking slots right across from the restaurant but street parking is always freaking filled in Waikiki. It was a pretty mellow Sunday but still since the parking is free, it is still filled. Anyways, my bae and I just parked at Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and ended up getting a validation over there and just walking over to bill’s. bill’s Waikiki aka bill’s Sydney. When I first heard of bill’s, I heard it from attending the Unilocal Monster Mash Halloween Unilocaler party 2015. They were giving out some sampler treats as well as $ 10 off gift certificates for following them on instagram which we did. So now here we are finally trying out their food! The restaurant overall has a nice flare to it. The color theme is this nice light green color and the restaurant has some unique old style meets new style modernly feel. When you enter, you have a choice of going up the stairs straight up ahead or the elevator on your left hand side. Since my legs were dead from the marathon I take the elevator. The restaurant is on the second level floor. We got sat in a nice area where one side has this nice couch seating. I sat on that side because you will definitly need it for kanak attack kine status after the food and especially after the pancakes! bill’s for bills. In regards to the food, it was pretty ono. We got the salmon salad($ 16) and the avocado and poke salad/bowl($ 18). Both dishes were ono! Our waitress was kind enough to give us two more separate plates to share! Then came the famous ricotta pancakes for dessert!(Well, technically it is a dish but we just ate it for dessert! haha). All the positive reviews about the famous ricotta pancakes are true! It is the best dish at bill’s for sure! When people talk about pancakes, they mention like it is good like the toppings and stuff but for bill’s ricotta pancakes, it is fluffy and much more within it! Just try it! Overall, it was a very satisfying meal especially after the Honolulu Marathon running 26.2 miles of fun in the sun, literally ahaha. The staff and customer service is really great. The pricing is kinda on the moderate side but pretty worth it, food wise. If you are going come here, just like everyone else the ricotta pancakes are the bomb. If you are not going to eat it as an entrée, eat it as dessert. No regrets, the pancakes are unique.

The first time that I’ve ever tried their food was at this years Monster Mash. They were giving out bite sized ahi plates and salmon plates. They were both excellent. They also gave out a $ 10 coupon to use at their restaurant if you follow them on Instagram. I met up with some Unilocal buddies here for brunch on a Saturday. Their dining area is on the second floor. We walked up the flight of stairs and was greeted by the host. We got seated immediately and waited for our server. The service that we received was subpar. Our server was no where to be found half the time. The thing that got me was that our food came out 45 minutes later. The place wasn’t even full. Some of our entrees came first, and then the others arrived about 10 minutes later. The entrees were either a hit or a miss. I started with a sunrise smoothie. It was very tart and not worth the $ 7 that I paid for this. I also got the bills granola, greek yoghurt and fruit compote, with a side of honey. This was a big letdown. I was looking for a variety of mixed fruit. All I got was blueberries in my compote. The hubby got the scrambled organic eggs and sourdough toast. He didn’t like the eggs because he said that it didn’t look to appetizing. I tried it out and thought that it was great. While it may have looked funny, it tasted very good. It was light and fluffy. My two other buddies ordered the sweet corn fritters, ricotta hotcakes, and the full aussie(scrambled organic eggs, sourdough toast, cumin roast tomato, bacon, miso mushrooms, pork and fennel sausage). The ricotta hotcakes were awesome. It was airy and light. The sweet corn fritters were also good. It was crispy, sweet, and had a chewy texture to it. I didn’t try any of the full aussie, but the plate was huge. I didn’t really like their breakfast selections. My friend used her coupon but I forgot mine at home. I’ll be back to try some of their dinner entrees, and hopefully remember to bring my coupon this time. I did not know that they offered parking. You can park across the street at the Bank of Hawaii parking lot and the restaurant will validate for it.

I got a call from my godmother, «there’s this place I want to take you for breakfast. The pancakes are delicious it’s called ______.» I replied, «wait, what is it called?» Still I couldn’t understand her but I’ve never gone somewhere with her that I didn’t love so I let it go and figured since she knew what we were ordering I didn’t need to research on the Unilocal page. We go to Waikiki she directs me to a parking lot across Brandy Melville and we get out and I realize she was saying Bills Sydney. She starts telling me about the downstairs café and how delicious their lattes are and we go upstairs to sit in the restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic, almost like a treehouse feeling. High ceilings, bright, and open. As we sat at our table we talked about the great setting, especially for a breakfast/brunch place. We both got lattes which were very good and ordered the ricotta pancakes with honeycomb butter and the corn fritters. Yum! The food was really good and different from typical breakfast choices at other places and our server was fantastic. Overall the prices were comparable to hotel/Waikiki prices at around $ 16 each. I have friends who go for dinner who have said I have to go and I met a woman the other day who said they make the best scrambled eggs she’s ever had so I’ll definitely be back for breakfast and to check out the dinner menu!

What? I thought this place was a breakfast joint, who knew they had such an amazing Dinner game going on? I took my son here to celebrate his 19th birthday and he really had a great time. The service was awesome and very attentive, but tonight was ALL about the food! We started with some small plates, my favorite being the tempura shrimp, very crispy light batter over a nice fat piece of shrimp. We also shared the flat bread pizza and korean fried chicken which were both very tasty. Keep in mind that was just the apps! Dinner was the ribeye, avocado and tuna poke plate, grass fed beef burger, the veal and pork ragu, prawn and chili linguine, yellow fish curry, and the butter lettuce shiso avocado salad. The best dish was hands down the veal and pork rage on the fat pappardelle noddles. I know I’ve mentioned my obsession with fat noodles and this took it for me. It was sooooo tasty! My next favorite dish was better lettuce side salad. So simple but so unbelievable. That avocado tossed in that lime dressing was perfect. The linguine and the curry were also very tasty and both of those dishes I would hands down order again. My son ordered the blueberry cheesecake and he went bizerk. It was served deconstructed in a glass and it was sooo good, he basically devoured it. He was kind enough to give me a little taste, but you know it was HIS birthday. I have not written a review in quite awhile but this dinner was so surprisingly good I had to come out of Unilocal retirement. I have been here several times for breakfast and that’s a sure thing. Definitely in my top 10 brunch spots, but don’t count this place out for dinner, Beautiful ambiance, great service and great food not overly priced! It’s a great place for a nice big friend dinner! GO and enjoy!

Was recommended this place by a couple that we met while on a hike on Manoa Falls Trail in oahu. They raved about the ricotta pancakes. I was intrigued and we went the next morning for breakfast. I thought it was stuffed with ricotta but it was not. The ricotta was sort of just mixed in. I actually didnt even see any ricotta but I could taste it. And it was delish. The dish was $ 16. It came with just the pancakes and some honey. And the pancakes weren’t huge. Not sure that it was $ 16 good. Was definitely $ 10.99 good. So be warned. We also ordered some coffee. They make some fancy coffees there and it was enjoyable. I would recommend this place to try at least once. And heck, if I ever went back to Hawaii, I would likely eat here again.

I am updating my review here to 5 stars from 1 star. New GM! Thank heavens. I could finally stop cursing about this place and give it the Aloha it deserves. Bills is a farm-to-table restaurant in Waikiki with fresh ingredients and many organic options. The restaurant is upstairs on the second floor. First floor is the café. Breakfast starts at 7am. Hands down, the BEST hot coffee in Waikiki. Flat White here is by far the best coffee I have ever tasted. I substitute milk with organic soy milk. I am addicted to the flat white coffee here. If you have never had Bill’s Flat White, I would highly recommend you giving it a try. You can get the flat white coffee cheaper downstairs than the upstairs dining room. Breakfast is excellent, made with fresh ingredients. Lots of organic options. Bills have perfected simple breakfast items and raised it to a whole new level. Take the scrambled eggs for example, sounds simple, but the organic scrambled eggs here is the best scrambled eggs I have ever had, it’s fluffy, how do they make it so fluffy? The hotcakes is fantastic, and I would recommend anyone to try this at least once. The full breakfast is great, loved everything on it. The bacon was not American style, it was different, but I enjoyed it. Considering the organic ingredients, Bills breakfast is an excellent value in Waikiki. For the same price of what you pay at Bills compared to other places like eggs n things or Denny’s, there is simply no comparison in terms of quality. Three of my favorite breakfast places in Waikiki are Bills, Heavenly, and(Orchid/House Without a Key @ Halekulani) If you are visiting Waikiki, don’t miss out Bills for breakfast. Breakfast at Bills is served until 11am. For lunch, the Chicken Schnitzel is excellent, and the Hand-Cut Pappardelle & Beef Ragu is amazing. This is a ‘healthy’ spot for delicious pizza made with fresh ingredients. I would recommend Bills to anyone visiting Waikiki. For the quality of food and fresh ingredients, Bills is an excellent value.

Very expensive. Too expensive! Long heard about the fluffy, heavenly ricotta cheese hotcakes, so we stopped by for breakfast today. To our surprise, the place seemed empty. However, we were informed that the restaurant was actually upstairs. Upstairs were beautiful. Nice tiled floor, shiny white tables, very high ceilings, and warm wood surroundings. It also has nice balcony outdoor seating area, but unfortunately, with all these empty seating space, the hosts chose to seat us closest to her: Right By the entrance. So we could see everyone that walked up into the restaurant, and smelled them as they brushed up against us when they walked in. How nice and cozy! How surprised we were looking at the menu, pancakes, oh, excuse me, 3 hotcakes for $ 16 dollars. Perhaps we were in Japan here with 99% Japanese customers around us, mind as well charge Japanese price! Fine, we will just try their hotcakes once. Not going to leave just yet. Indeed, the 3 ricotta hotcakes were delicious, and there were bananas, and we poured every single droplet of the honeycomb honey on top. Me and hubby split one plate with 3 hotcakes. Would we come here again? Only if they drop the price. These hotcakes are delicious, but they are not worth $ 16 dollars. The whole bill with coffee and juice costed us approximately $ 35 dollars. That’s the same for 3 people ordering their own plate of breakfast at eggs & things. And we are super happy with he pancakes at eggs and things, without pay a leg and an arm.

I have mixed feelings about this place. First, I loved the décor. It’s a great environment to eat in. I loved the fans that kept the breeze going through the place. Second, the food was pretty good. I had the white fish and green curry. It was just spicy enough that you don’t need any milk or cream to help calm down the heat. My wife got the pancakes and those were really good. We had a pizza to share and that was also very good. I had a cold brew coffee that was also good. Lastly, I hated the service. We sat down and just sat there for 20 min before anyone talked to us. Supposedly they were in a shift change and someone dropped the ball. I’m fine with that accidentally happening but we were sitting in a close eye distance to the front host and she saw us multiple times, still nothing. A waiter did show up and was surprised we were not being helped yet. He was nice and took our order. After that our waitress came and was very kind. Problem was we waited forever to get our food and once we were finished we ordered desert. That took about another 15 – 20 min. In the end I liked the food but the service was horrible. I may go back at some point but I will need to have some time to let this bad experience pass.

I went to Bills last night for the first time for my birthday dinner with two of my friends. I loved the atmosphere, high wooden ceilings with a cool, but intimate vibe with low lighting. The restaurant is nicely spaced out so you don’t feel crammed and into the conversation next to you. Our server was very helpful, pointing out the popular dinner dishes, and also pushing for the pancakes if we were feeling like eating breakfast! I ended up eating a pepperoni, zucchini, mozzarella, and rocket(lettuce) flatbread pizza! I was a little skeptical because I’m not a zucchini fan, but it was thinly cut and crunchy so I liked it! We also ordered banana fritters for dessert. There really is nothing better than warm banana fritters with cold vanilla ice cream! It was a perfect way to end a great birthday dinner with my friends. I will definitely be going back, and want to try Bills for breakfast!

bills just continues to impress me. Some friends and I were staying in Waikiki to celebrate a birthday, and I’m happy to report that the freshness of the breakfast foods they’re known for carries over into their dinner/all-day menu. If you thought bills was beautiful in the day time, wait until you see it at night! The glowing candles on each table really set the mood and transform the rustic wooden interior. The all-day/dinner menu consists of pastas, flatbreads, salads, and a number of their classic entrees. I opted for the orecchiette pasta($ 16) with pan fried tomato, zucchini, basil, and most importantly *ricotta.* The tomatoes were popping with freshness! You’re definitely paying higher prices for better quality food, and it’s worth every penny. I tried a bite of the parmesan crumbed chicken schnitzel($ 18), and I have to say I“ll probably be getting that for myself next visit! It’s truly delicious, with a portion size that doesn’t look overbearing. The only thing that was a miss among our party was the prawn and chilli linguine($ 18). My boyfriend was still hungry after and mentioned that he had shrimp in his pasta, not prawns as advertised. If you’re looking for something sweet, not to worry — they have a few desserts on the menu, but you may just want to skip those and go for their famous Ricotta Hotcakes with honeycomb butter($ 15). Yes, they’re available all day — not just for breakfast! Aside from amazing food, we also had a waiter was very friendly and helpful. He had to deal with 9 hungry people and made sure to continuously check on us and fill our water glasses. Never did I feel neglected! He also brought over a white chocolate and pistachio pavlova(regular price $ 12), free of charge for our friend’s birthday. bills is great day or night. If you’re staying in Waikiki, I’d suggest popping in to try both their breakfast and all-day menus to fully experience the food.

I’ve been here twice: First Visit I happened to walk by and saw the pastries, so I decided to get a muffin and was surprised at how amazing it was! It had a delicate flavor and wonderful texture. I loved it so much, I took my friend there to dinner the same day. I can’t remember what I got, but I think it was the salmon salad, which was delicious. We enjoyed the ambiance and it wasn’t too busy. Second Visit I went here with friends for brunch on Labor Day. They told us the wait would be 20 minutes but it was closer to an hour, so I was super hangry. Once we’re finally seated, service was slow and the food took forever to come out. My friends were in a bit of a time crunch to make to the airport, so the waiter was kind enough to rush the food for us. Lesson learned: don’t eat brunch in Waikiki, especially on a holiday! When we finally got the food, it was very delicious. My friends scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. I tried the hotcakes, which were so delicious. I loved the honeycomb butter! Her husband got the corn fritters, which were oily for my taste, but still good. It’s a little pricey, but considering it’s in Waikiki, I think it’s reasonable. They offer validated parking if you park at the 1st Hawaiian Bank structure across the street, so the parking will only cost $ 6.

Date: September 4, 2015 Location: bills Sydney in Waikiki Reason to go: Trying out a new restaurant for the first time Early Friday morning I left the Waianae Coast via the express bus and transferred to the Waikiki express bus to get to bills Sydney just before the 10am hour. I met up with a group of close to 15 individuals for breakfast. As I entered the restaurant I noticed that there’s the elevator as well as the stairs leading to the second floor. The restrooms for both men and women were located on the ground floor. There was another open area for customers to order take out from the restaurant. I noticed one of my friends going into the elevator and followed her. We arrived on the second floor and I took notice that we had to go through a door that lead to the dining area. Once I passed the door to go into the dining area I noticed that the group I was meeting with was located on the left side of the door. The group itself took up 3 tables. 6 individuals per table. I was given the menu to look over to see what would interest me for breakfast. Since I was not really hungry in the morning I settled for a Fruit Bowl with Honeyed Yoghurt(yogurt). When I received my fruit bowl… I noticed all the different fruits. There was slices of bananas, watermelon, canteloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, raspberries and blueberries all topped with the honeyed yogurt. Right when I was about to take a bite out of one of the fruits… one of the individuals says«That looks really good.» My fruit bowl was very delicious and refreshing. For individuals who have the Unilocal application on their smartphones… when you check in with Unilocal you’ll be able to receive 10% discount off of your order. Speaking of Unilocal… with three other Unilocal friends checking into the same breakfast establishment a person will earn their Breakfast Club check in badge. Thank you to my Unilocal friends who attended the breakfast gathering… I received my Breakfast Club badge. Overall with company I enjoyed my experience at bills Sydney. Sometime in the future I would like to try other menu items for breakfast that the restaurant has to offer. Who wants to join me for breakfast? Or should we be venturous and try the lunch items on the menu?

Met here for a meeting on a Sunday brunch and I was stunned with what I experienced. Atmosphere: in waikiki. Great atmosphere with high vaulted ceilings give the restaurant a larger than life feel almost like you’re in a ski lodge. Plenty of seating available with wide open layout and booth seating. Service: Our waiter was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about not only the menu but the franchise. Waitstaff was very understanding and patient with are very large party. Food: The menu has many choices. The best thing was the ricotta pancakes. There were also many other good choices but the pancakes were amazing. The texture was very moist and nothing I’ve experienced before. We also ordered the crab fried rice, the aussie breakfast, corn crispy thingies. Intangibles: Excellent brunch spot and must try the pancakes!

BILLS! Where have these silky, delicious, perfect scrambled eggs been all my life? In fact, where has the The Full Aussie breakfast been all my life? What a perfect combo. The best eggs ever, some spinach, miso-marinated mushrooms, cumin-roasted tomato, mini-bangers and ham. Ditch the toast, it’s not necessary. Formatted as I described, this badass plate of deliciousness is a perfectly protein-a-riffic breakfast. It’s so good, in fact, I came here twice in one short trip to Honolulu. Situated right in the heart of the bizness down in Waikiki, Bills has an expansive second-floor dining room that’s bright, airy and sleek. Downstairs is a take-away coffee shop serving up Stumptown(PDX reprazent!). Upstairs is full-service brunch, and often there is a wait. But the upside to dining solo is that you rarely ever wait long. The famous thing on the menu is the ricotta pancakes, which look incredible. But this fat kid is on a low-carb diet, so none of that for me. Instead I had The Full Aussie two times in a row, and both times it was spot on. I don’t know what they do to get the eggs like they do here, but it’s fucking perfect. Like a cloud of scrambled egg. A fluffy, silky yellow cumulous. MMM… Aside from the good food and nice setting, the staff was great on both visits as well. They had things dialed in proper. I can’t say I was left wanting for more. Next time I return I hope one of my dining companions orders the pancakes, just so I can try a bite. Just. One. Bite. I swear.
