Beautiful restaurant, but expensive. The red curry was very good. The steaks were cooked perfectly – rare. The service was excellent. The bone marrow pupu was not that great though. It had hardly any marrow and the onions overpowered the marrow taste.

The view and atmosphere was great. It was really pricey. The NY stripes was wonderful, but not a $ 62 experience. The lamb was good as well. We had a great server who was very friendly.

We had dinner here twice during our recent visit to Honolulu. At first, my husband thought it was funny that I wanted to eat dinner at the hotel. Then he enjoyed the food so much on our first night, he wanted to go back! The best appetizer is the charcuterie plate where you can choose your own cheese and meats. I also enjoyed scallops one night and a crabcake on another. This Maryland girl doesn’t often order a crabcake outside of Maryland, but the one I had at Bali was great!

We came here for drinks the other night. After reading so many mixed reviews on the quality of food, I was reluctant to spend that kind of money on roulette quality. The ambience was very lovely, and both bartenders were quite friendly and attentive. The female bartender who waited on us was a total sweetheart. I ordered the Mai Tai and my boyfriend ordered a beer. When I complimented her on the drink, she blamed it on the high end spirits that she used. Awwwww. Adorable! The Mai Tai was a bit expensive, but it was good and a nice«dessert» with which to end the evening. I cannot speak to the food quality, but if you’re in need of a cocktail or two, this is a pretty swell, if slightly pricey, spot.

This place deserve no star but I gave it one because the women greeting customers before going into the restaurant were friendly. The menu selection is poor. The price is just too much for the quality of the food. The service experience(Mother’s Day) suck. After our drinks and appetizer were served, our dinner took almost 45 minutes granted that there weren’t that many people. Our waitress hardly came around and never bothered to check or even apologize for the delay. She only asked my husband if he wanted another drink because she was tending to the table next to us. My husband $ 70 steak was not worth it – the same price we pay at other steak places and much better quality. The one and only chicken they had on the menu was tasteless — boiled in water with a bit citrus flavor and then lightly brown on a frying pan YUCK! My daughter’s $ 44 mahi was just one small filet –the Decors on the plate were bigger than the fish meat. Never go here again. I’ll take Zippy’s over Bali anytime

Made reservations for a Friday night with 3 other friends right before sunset. Every seat had an ocean view. Our servers were attentive, helped us in deciding what to eat. The sides are large enough to share. Example, the salad side was enough for all 4 of us. It’s pricey, I get it, the location, it’s a resort and the view the relaxing atmosphere. Great for special occasions, not your everyday go to. I selected the Roasted Kona Kampachi Fillet. It was deliciously prepared, tender. My waiter brought me another sauce just in case I didn’t like the cilantro pesto sauce. Both were great. For dessert we shared 3 scoops of ice cream-different flavors with the bread pudding… perfect size.

We should have read the reviews before doing our Valentine’s Day dinner here. Service very friendly and very helpful! Setting nice a little dark but relaxing. $ 60 steak came out cold for both of us literally cold. First time in 6 years living in Hawaii that I didn’t finish my steak. Forgot to bring my soup. Brought the salad at the same time as the steak. Very friendly horrible food just like all the other reviews. They did comp one of our steaks. It’s to bad that a great setting on the ocean with great service is consistently ruined by sub par food. Manager came to apologize so bumped from 2 stars to 3. Hope the food improves so others can enjoy… We will never return.

Of course it’s very expensive. It’s in a resort on the beach in Waikiki. The service averaged out to bring okay. Very good at first but slowed down quite a bit as the restaurant got full. The local greens salad was outstanding. Hawaiian cucumbers, grape tomatoes, field greens, in a vinaigrette dressing. The Opa was very good. However, the shrimp on the seafood medley was overcooked.

Extremely overpriced. The food is good – not excellent. Entrees were $ 10 – 15 more per dish than equivalent fine dining restaurants, and here, they don’t come with starch or vegetables. You order that separately. For example, a steak is $ 50 – 60, plus another $ 10 – 12 for a single vegetable to go with it. Fish entrees were $ 39 – 42, again just the fish itself. One of our fish entrees was good, the other overcooked. If you have dental work or sensitive teeth, avoid the wedge salad. The bacon bits are hard as rock. Interestingly, I asked the waitress for a large salad. She recommended the wedge salad and said it was like a quarter head of lettuce. It was the smallest wedge salad I’ve been served in years. I ate here on a Saturday night when the hotel was full and town was crowded, yet the restaurant was empty. I now know why!

This place is terrible! Avoid at all cost! I had a salad and left! I couldn’t stand to eat at another resort restaurant with terrible food. Take your money and go get some fish tacos somewhere else. $ 15 salad that I had to prepare myself. I had to chop my own salad. Souplantation has better salads. Who knows what the main course would have tasted like! BARF!

Everything is al a carte and it’s pricey. Here’s the run down of what we had: 1 mai tai, 1 fancy soda, 1 steak entrée, 1 fish entrée, 1 lobster mashed potato side, 1 Brussels sprout side. Total w/tip — $ 185. Everything was delicious although the brussels sprouts were a little greasy. Service was fine and the plate presentations were beautiful.

I was really expecting more, but I can’t complain. They have some really good food, the lobster was great, the fillet mignon was OK, but the drinks… The drinks were so so good.

The food was good, Brussels sprouts were our favorite. Our waiter was wonderful too! The ambiance although the view(from most tables) was pretty the set up reminded us of a hotel meeting room that they set tables up in. The menu is wayyyy overpriced. We had 1 appetizer, 2 entrée’s, 1 side dish &1 drink for 2& our bill before tip was $ 235 in our opinion it was NOT worth it. We could have ate dinner elsewhere considering we left hungry. Think twice before making a reservation here.

Beautiful open air view of the beach and ocean at sunset. Opa was fresh and tasty. It is a shame that the chef prepares a nice fish but there is no accompaniment. Everything is ala carte. Come on! For this price put something on the plate. I paid $ 39 and had to spend another $ 11 for a bowl of rice which was too much for one person. This is Hawaii but pricy none the less. A glass of wine was $ 16 for a Pinot. Good but pricy. View is a 5 Fish is a 4 Wine 2 Price 2 Service 5 Ala carte 1

This is a great location and the view is to die for. So heres the deal, I was distracted by the little things. The green placemats killed me and took away from the ambiance of the room. In the center of the dining room is a beautiful statue that was used as a bussing station around the base for coffee cups and trays? That being said I hope a designer from Hilton will sit down and take a look at what takes away from a otherwise beautiful restaurant. The food was well prepared. Tuna carpaccio excellent! Filet Mignon flavorful and at temp. Potatoes au gratin were a little dry though tasty. Vegetables cooked al dente, nice. Lobster was moist and fresh. The chef is crazy about garnishing everything with cherry tomatoes? Dessert was a miss is was described as a tiramisu trifle. Besides the top layer of chocolate there was absolutely no flavor. Too bad nice idea. This place is a great to relax and have a nice meal. Our service was excellent, quick and efficient. I wrote the servers name down though lost my note, sorry. I would just say work on the details. It’s always in the details!

The experience was totally spoiled by the terrible service given by the waitress(though her assistants were very pleasant and helpful). If two people are spending $ 200 on a meal and drinks, you would think they would be provided something close to adequate service. Not so in the case of Bali’s. I mentioned how extremely disappointed I was upon leaving, to which the hostess could only reply, «I am sorry». Save yourself a lot of money and have equally good food and an enjoyable time at any other restaurant in Honolulu.

The food and service here is terrible. You will pay top dollar for bad food, in a dark restaurant, with rude service. All the items are a la carte so be prepared to pay $ 40 for just a protein with nothing on or with it. It would be better to stop at the ABC store for chips and macadamia nuts than eat here.

Bali steak house is a typical high end steak house located on the beach in the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The atmosphere is very pleasant, relaxing and comfortable. The service was unbelievable! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, everyone greeted us with a warm welcome and a good bye. The food was very delicious, but rather pricey. The portions were on the small side. I don’t think the food was worth the price. I personally would not go back there. I would rather go to Hy’s, Ruth’s or to Wolfgang Steakhouse for a good steak dinner. For dinner, I had an 8 oz. filet mignon and shared the Caesar salad and Yukon potato purée. Everything was yummy. To end my meal with something sweet, I ordered a chocolate mousse dessert. This was PHENOMENON!!! This was the BESTDESSERT I’ve ever had… No joke! OMG! The mousse was very rich, decadent, smooth and bursting with so many textures and flavors. Each spoonful was an explosion of yummy goodness. There were macadamia nuts, mini burst of chocolate crispy balls and who knows what other textures of sweet goodness in that mousse. It was to «die for.» The mini macaroon and fresh fruit that accompanied the mousse was a great addition to the dessert. I would definitely recommend this dessert to all who have a sweet tooth. I would come back just for this dessert. Yum!

Bali has a nice location on the second floor overlooking the beach at the Hilton Hawaiian Resort. This location is a great place to dine to watch the sunset. That is about all that I can say good about the place. The menu is nice, but is lacking a few things to make it the place it wants to be. I almost went there a couple of years ago with a co-worker, but we decide not to because it was in our minds too«fancy» for a normal dinner. We thought it was a special occasion restaurant. I decided to go this time, since I received gift certificate from Hilton. I started off with an appetizer that sounded great on the menu. It was a little pricey for the amount provided. It looked nice, but the flavors didn’t flow. I then ordered a steak and the waiter was pushing sauces to top it. I have been to a few steak places in my time and none of them ask would you like a sauce to top that steak. I was getting a little scared, since most good steak places are offended when you ask for A-1. The wine list had some good wines, but the prices were way too high. I know most restaurants use a 2 — 3 multiplier for most wine below $ 50, but they used a 4x throughout the list. They have a professional wait staff that was very attentive, but could use a little training on letting the guest go first. This place has a lot of potential and I really hope it gets there, because it has a great location and could be the place for many special events.

Bali Steak & Seafood is one of the best spots on Waikiki Beach for a romantic dinner. The open air dining room is just yards from the shore atop the Rainbow Lanai at the base of the Hilton’s iconic Rainbow Tower. It’s an elegant escape from the hustle, bustle, and poorly chosen swimwear. By far the best restaurant on the grounds of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We started with the steakhouse classic, a wedge salad; iceberg lettuce, house cured bacon, sweet yellow Maui onion, chopped egg and tomato dressing. I’m a Blue Cheese fan, but the tomato dressing paired well with our Oregon Pinot noir. It’s a tasty departure from the norm that serves two. For our main course, we chose the Tomahawk for Two; a 36 oz. 28-day dry aged Prime Ribeye steak. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Succulent and juicy with a hot red center. If you haven’t shared a frenched bone-in steak with your sweetheart under the tropical moonlight with the Pacific trade winds gently blowing through your hair, I highly recommend it. Nothing quite says I love you like steak on a stick!
