Second time here. A five minute walk to this restaurant after viewing the Friday nite fireworks off the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon. Very impressed with the quality of the food and service. Did I mention this was my second time here? It’s a hidden gem in Waikiki. We ordered the prosciutto wrapped shrimp appetizer and salad verde for starters. Then had the pasta con vongole(pasta with clams) and my date had the salmon special. Everything was delicious. The added bonus was when the check came. We were surprised that the waiter gave us a ‘kamaaina discount’. Sahweet!

Located within the resort this Italian restaurant is nothing special. Not authentic Italian at all. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese and the penne arriabatta. The spaghetti was bland and unappetizing I have never sent my food back and I went this back. The arriabatta on the other hand was fairly tasty comparatively. They were out of 4 of the wines we requested so we opted for water and a cocktail. I gave it 3 stars only because our Waiter Matt was nice but clearly had to many tables to tend to. Felt bad for him. We were having to flag him down for water and our check as were the couple at a neighboring table. If you want great Italian food go to Sareto’s Top of the«I». We had an amazing dinner there two nights before. Sareto’s is authentic Italian and service was great!

Pros– attentive service & reasonably good food in the Waikiki area. My wife enjoyed the pescadore pasta but my Rigatoni was slightly over cooked albeit tasty. Very good cocktails. Cons– limited menu selection.

We enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. We made reservations by phone rather easily. We ended up eating dinner at the bar with a fabulous bartender named Pam. Our food was perfect but don’t expect to share a plate because you will want to eat all of what you order. I don’t think that you can go wrong with anything you order so be adventurous and go for it … Mahalo

Great proximity to the Hilton. Convenient for solid Italian after a LONG dehydrating flight. Dinner menu with two chef selections. Menu does vary on and off. Make reservations as it fills up quickly.

Super fancy!, Amazing Quality Italian food. And im very picky. This place is great and all the waiters were so friendly. The place was huge but quite empty. But thats just what I was looking for. I was on my honeymoon and was looking for a romantic spot. The pasta was like no other. Best I had in years. And dont worry about the price because I was so full till the next day. Its defenitly worth it. Thumbs up!

We’ve tried to eat here twice now and have been turned down by the same young woman at the front both times — over the phone and in person. All I have to say is that their service thus far has been absolutely terrible. The young woman(hostess?) is incredibly rude and has an exceptionally bad attitude. If it were my restaurant I would fire her immediately because she is definitely not a people person. In fact, she’s like a «customer repellant.» If I could leave a «zero-star» review on here, I would. It’s really quite sad actually because the food looks wonderful. I just wish that my family and I could have made it past the crappy hostess to eat the delicious-looking Italian cuisine. I wonder how much of Fresco’s «could-have-been» revenue she throws down the drain every time she’s on the job… Anyway, I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone who’s in the Honolulu area.

The food was really good. Their sauce is excellent and sweet. Service was good but Happy hour you cannot order from your table. You have to go to bar yourself, order and take back to your table. Be prepared that it is also ala carte so be ready for a pricey meal. Average for full meal is 45 – 60 a person.

It’s a shocker! It’s a shocker! First-class Italian in Honolulu that ranks with the best of Los Angeles, Freedom Trail of Boston, or Little Italy, New York. Yes, Honolulu of all places! When we came in, all I was expecting was contentable mid-range Italian, not expecting it to reach a high-water mark. SQUID-INKSPAGHETTI with fried calamari and grape tomatoes is bewitching with multiple complex flavors, and was my personal dish. There’s a number of other ones to consider, including LASAGNAWITHBEEFRAGU or a delicately finessed POLLOPICCATA which uses top market ingredients just like everything else. The menu is complex and cutting-edge. You’ll find spaghetti with pancetta bacon or crab meat. Across the board, you will find choices that offer a voluptuous meal. You will burp and haw from the upper floor that gleams from fairy lights. #sublime

Went in the other night for dinner and had some friends with me, we were a party of 7, Mayumi is an amazing server, for a group that had many special requests, everything came out perfectly. Timing between salads appetizers and entres was excellent! Food tasted great! Thanks Mayumi! We will definitely be back.

Ate dinner the other night. Had a choice of outdoors or indoors. Has to be indoors with air-conditioning and they said yes. And they said his dad at our table because they forgot to turn the air conditioning. Started with appetizer of calamari and the breading on the calamari fell apart. My chicken Picatta was good husband got chicken Parmesan and once again the breading fell apart. Not offered any salt and pepper for a meal. When asked halfway through the meal they finally brought it. Mango crème brûlée is not even worth paying for.

Somehow, I managed to catch a cold in Hawaii — how is that possible. Anyway, I needed comfort food, and this restaurant was the perfect antidote. I thought it was weird, actually, that there’s an Italian restaurant in the Hilton, but whatever, I guess everything can’t be Japanese or fish. In any event, I wanted lasagna, and I got the perfect Sicilian style lasagna, i.e., no bechamel. The service was fantastic. I know some people said it wasn’t family friendly, but there were a ton of little kids in the restaurant and the staff seemed completely okay with it. Also, it’s not as expensive as you think. I didn’t drink any alcohol because of my cold, but the price for soup and lasagna was $ 30, which in the heart of Waikiki seems reasonable to me.

While the area has plenty of restaurants to choose from, I highly recommend this place for a nice dinner. The wait staff is impeccable and the food is delicious. Though the price is a little high, the food is excellent quality and the portions are generous. I could barely finish my order of pasta! Wonderful ambiance, and perfect for a family meal or a nice date.

Based on some of the reviews I was not sure what to expect, but since we were staying at The Hawaiian Village, it was convenient so we gave Fresco a try. I am so glad we did! The whole experience was lovely. We were seated quickly and our waiter was professional and attentive. Both my husband and I are huge fans of Caprese Salad and we usually order it if on the menu. Fresco’s was plated beautifully and the mozzarella was fresh and lighter than we have ever had. My husband ordered the rigatoni with sausage and although I have never tried Carbonara before, I ordered it this time and it was stunning. Our pasta was seasoned well and perfectly al dente. We were served a big basket of bread and our portions were so generous that we could not finish the pasta. I was inspired to write this, my first review ever, because I do not think Fresco deserves some of the poor reviews from others. We were impressed and will return.

Just came in for happy hour and ended up making a meal out of appetizers! The service was a little slow but justified by the amount of customers they were serving(and the fact that we were sitting in the bar area). They really do hustle and we still got our food in a timely manner once we ordered and our bar tender was sooooo nice! I wish I had found this place earlier in our trip.

ITWAS A RATRUNNINGTHROUGHTHEDININGAREA!!! To start the place is nice, the service was good, the food and portions JUSTOK, yes it is expensive. However the worst part was when we saw a rat sizable running among the tables a few feet away from our table, it was horrible and disgusting, And when we told the waiter that served us that we had seen a rat, He was not surprised at all!!, He was silent for a while and then just said«oh I am sorry» that was it !!! OMG! I will never come back.

My boyfriend and I had a delicious, Italian meal here. We were able to sit out of the deck which was perfect. My boyfriend got the lobster tail and filet while I got a pasta dish with crab and lobster. Both were great! I’d recommend this place especially if you are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Recently had another luncheon here & food was just as great as the last time! The specials they offer are the best value. Pasta is served al dente. A simple dish like pasta w/mozzarella will make you ooh & aah. Go for lunch, as it is way less crowded compared to dinner. Full parking validation & found out they do banquets too!
