My husband got the best haircut ever! We had arrived here on holiday… He hadn’t had time to get his haircut before we left Canada… We arrived went for a walk found the aloha barbershop and were extremely pleased! This man knows how to cut hair! He’s like the Jedi master of haircuts!

After going to Fantastic Sam’s, the man came home with THE worst haircut ever! I remembered someone mentioned this barber on Kapahulu and I checked it out here on Unilocal,and so we went.
There were a couple of guys waiting, but the barber is fast! And good! And inexpensive! And the man is so happy with his haircut!

I got my cut here six years ago in 09 and I brought my son there when I visited again in ’15. Mine is easy but he does it like no other. My son loved his cut as well. He is my go to barber when I visit the island.

I just got my haircut here. I had been letting it grow for a while and got tired of it getting messy in the wind. So I decided to try this place out based on the reviews. I had a picture of how I wanted my hair to be cut and showed it to the guy. It was a pretty clear photo, so I figured he’d be able to copy it. That wasn’t the case. It’s much shorter than what I wanted. I’m skeptical about allowing him to cut it a second time. But for now, I’ll let my hair grow back out and try another place.

Nothing bad to say about this little hole-​in-​the-​wall barber shop. Only one older fella works there so sometimes there could be 4 other people in front of you, but its worth the wait. Absolute steal for only $ 12. For me there is no reason to go searching for anywhere else.

Great place for cuts. I take my boys here. They love the results. Word of mouth gets around with the kids. So they came home and told me all their friends go there. I walked in and was a little put off by the place. It’s certainly not Supercuts or anything fancy. It’s old school barber shop! The price is right and the guy takes his time to make sure it’s a great cut. There’s also a gal in there sometimes, but again word of mouth, the boys will only go to the guy because he’s better or so they say.
The place has seen better days. It’s a bit messy and run down, but the results are great. I’d definitely recommend it.

The price is now $ 12 for a haircut, still a bargain! You still get the same awesome service which feels like a rarity these days. There are only a few places I have experienced such warmth, this barbershop here. Customer service is alive and booming at Aloha Barber shop. Regulars know this gem on Kapahulu as top notch. I love saying «what up son!» If you haven’t caught on, Son always does an outstanding job with impeccable service. You should stop in and say hi to Son, get a hair cut too why not?

Nice guy. Best haircut I’ve had in a while. He pays really close attention to details. Not a single long hair left after the fade like how most other places do. All for $ 10

Yeah, you might have to wait a bit. All the neighborhood old heads come. Old school to da max.
Worth it? Shiiiittt. Have you feasted on this eye candy yet??? Duh.

One-​man operation but he is very efficient and has GREAT customer service. Always ends the haircut with a nice neck message using a message machine. Although his English isn’t the best, he is very pleasant to speak with and he makes sure you get what you want.
Very inexpensive but GREAT results. There might be a wait, so it would be best to set an appointment but he does take walk-​ins as well.
Trust me you will not be disappointed with Aloha Barshop!

One-​man operation it seems, and English may not be his strength, but a very good haircut at a very good price ($ 10). Plus you get a small massage at the end, which in my opinion is almost worth $ 10 by itself.

Good place to get a haircut. U might have to call ahead so u can ensure the wait isn’t too long since there is usually only 1 person there cutting hair. But at $ 12 (plus tip) it’s a great deal for a cut. Every time I come here I don’t have to cut my hair again too soon compared to when I go to other places.
The guy who cuts my hair is a little different from other barbers. He cuts my hair short (if I need it that way), and he rarely uses the clips (unless I need the bangs short). He also uses a blower that has a vacuum connector to dry hair but also pickup any hair cut off. He’s very friendly and you’re in and out in less than 20 minutes (depending on the wait).

I’ve had this guy cutting my hair for three years. He does a good job. When I first moved here I called a lot of Barbers, to find out if they could do a flatop. this is the only guy that said «sure, come on down»
