I had booked mani/pedi and facial using a Groupon voucher a few weeks back. I show up today, only to be told they no longer offer those services. They also misplaced the reservation in their system so they did not call to tell me. Had to spend an hour on hold with Groupon to get a refund. She was extremely apologetic but I wasn’t pleased. Bad way to do business.

I actually had a wonderful experience here today. I had bought a Groupon for a 30 minute massage, which I thought would be perfect to use on a lunch break at work this week. It’s a cute stand-alone building and has nice interior décor. There was someone at the desk to greet me within one minute of walking in. After finishing my paperwork for the massage, I was greeted by the massage therapist within three or four minutes. She walked me back, and the first room I saw was as someone else here described — small with red sheets. But I was led through that room to a slightly larger, but still small and comfortable room with a massage bed dressed in white sheets. There was nice music playing, the temperature was perfect(she had put a heater on low which was so nice with the February weather!), I didn’t hear any noise from outside the room, and I didn’t notice anything in the entire place that looked dirty or unkempt. You could tell the trim was not brand new, but that was about it. So perhaps they took reviewers suggestions on here to heart? Not sure. The massage itself was wonderful. It had been over six months since my last massage, and my body had clearly missed it. I felt so relaxed and refreshed afterwards that I didn’t even care I had to go back to work! Plus, I was afraid the 30 minutes wouldn’t feel long enough, but it actually felt plenty long. I am hoping to make it back in following weeks for a few more half hour massages!

I received a Groupon for Christmas for a message and a mani/pedi…that is the only reason I would of chosen this salon/spa. First, the message therapist Edwinah, was nice and personable and did a great 30 minutes message. The nail technician named Shavon did a great mani/pedi, my nails stayed polished without any chips for well over 10 days(and I have natural nails and this was not a gel procedure) Now, with that being said, I probably would not go back to this salon and there’s really no reason to state it is a spa of any kind. When I entered the door, there was no one at the front desk to great me, so I waited… then there was someone cleaning the sofa I was so sit on… should that have been done the night before or before the doors opened and customer;s were coming in? the floors were filthy, the white baseboards clearly visible were very dirty as well. The base of the pedicure chair was dripping with water and hair… which i did not see until I had already received my pedicure. I do not blame the tech’s, it is the responsibility of the owner’s to ensure their salon is clean… This NOWAYRESEMBLES A SPA… Mario Tricocci is a true day spa… Tres Chic is NOT! When I check out, the receptionist told me my credit card did not go through and she ran it a second time-then she said«If this goes through twice just come back in»…what are the chances that this has already happened to them or there would be no reason to say it to me! The following day I checked my bank account, and sure enough the charge was ran through twice. I called the salon and talked with one of the two owners; she told me she would cal her merchant and call me right back. She called back, gave me an authorization number and then advised me I have to call my bank and give them the authorization number to get the credit. OK, I called my bank, and was told I need to get the salon on a 3 way call(for security reasons I was not told of) I advised I was not able to do that from the phone I was calling from. I called the salon owner back and told her what happened and asked if she could call them directly-and was told she could not do that. She said if the authorization was not removed by Monday to call her back… Finally I received the credit. You can decide if this place is someplace you would like to spend your hard earned money at or just take a pass altogether.

I agree with the other review. The room was small and they didn’t appear to have central air, as there was a fan in the room and it was almost as loud as the music, making it a bit hard to relax. I had a deep tissue massage by Edwina and it was excellent. My mani/pedi was average. The chair couldn’t be adjusted to accommodate my legs(I’m 5’8″), so I felt pretty cramped the entire time. The spa needs a good deep cleaning. The floor of the massage room was dirty and the waiting room wasn’t as clean as it should be. If they cleaned it, I would consider going back for a massage.

When I first arrived everyone was friendly and professional. I can’t remember my massage therapist name but she was also professional and inviting. When I got into the room it was much smaller than I’m accustomed to for massages. The linen on the bed was burgundy and I had to wonder if it was clean. I’m use to fresh, white, crisp linen when getting a massage. I’m sure it was clean but by it being burgundy it was hard to tell. On top of that the linen was very wrinkled and the bed wasn’t warm. When my therapist told me to get undressed someone walked into the room. I think they had some kind of storage room connected to the massage room and you could only enter thru one door. I couldn’t help but think to myself«I’m glad that I wasn’t getting undressed». Also, during the massage, I heard someone enter the room to go into the storage area. I have had several massages and I have NEVER had people enter the room during the process. It was also hard to relax because you could hear the music and chatter from the salon area. Overall my massage was great but getting a massage is about the entire experience and aside from the actual massage I didn’t enjoy the rest of the experience. I had a $ 49 Groupon but I would NEVER pay $ 110 for an experience like that.
