I have been to Oak and Raleigh’s a couple different times. Great selection of beer and wine and really good, fresh food. Me and a friends of mine family went in a Monday, which was awesome because it was«Kids Eat Free» night… Added bonus was they the games were free all night too. I had the grilled wings and roasted beet salad. I never had the food there, so I was excited to try it. The wings came out hot and perfectly grilled, the buffalo sauce had a little heart, but not intimidating. They were medium sized and full of flavor. I think i had 8 for 6 bucks which was a little expensive, but not a deal breaker. The Roasted beet salad was the best surprise of the night. It was fresh, the beets were nicely roasted, and the Gouda cheese was soft and tasty. We really enjoyed the night. Only complaint was that it took a while for the food to come out. The waitress and cashier were super friendly, but the time it took to get our food was a negative. Being kid night and having two of my own its always important to get the kids fed first so they can play or whatever afterwards. Great time, great food, great atmosphere tho.

Delicious, locally brewed beers paired with delicious, locally sourced foods. All brought together in their wonderful, welcoming kitchen. A shuffleboard table and a mini arcade are in between a selection of beers and wines to go. Families, dates, business meetings? Come here. There’s something on the menu for everybody, and the kind staff and relaxed atmosphere is home.

This place is amazing! Great food and an awesome beer and wine selection! I’ll definitely be back. Seems like every time I go they have done something new to try and improve their menu.

We stopped over the holidays with a small group for my birthday and it was mostly empty at 7PM. Counter service and friendly bartender so we ordered a round of beers and two apps. the baked feta and the pâté, pig and pickle. While we waited on the food, we played a bit of shuffleboard which is always fun and they have a nice new board. When the food arrived, the feta was pretty tasty as baked feta tends to be and I liked the chicken liver pâté and pickled vegetables although the tomato was strong. The salami was a bit grey and tasted a bit off. Others thought the pâté too strong but hey, it’s irony chicken livers so that is to be expected. The toasted baguette and regular baguette ran out quickly we requested a few more pieces(again, you have to go to the bar to request). Kind of hard to eat pâté by the spoonful although I tried as we waited and waited patiently for bread. I mean its’ toasted baguette; it should not take long when the place was less than ¼ full by then. After like 15 minutes, we finally saw some coming out but alas it went to the only other table there and the person looked at me and asked if we were the ones waiting on the additional bread. I said forget it as we had been sitting there with empty beers hoping for some bread with which to finish the pâté, etc. This was my birthday choice and not sure it was the best on a slow holiday night. I would definitely stop in to try the sandwiches if I lived in the area but doubt I will recommend a special trip out there again. Note, this bar is a bit loud with the metal and concrete but not overly so. Incidentally, we went to Carrigan’s afterwards and it was crazy busy

Fantastic. Atmosphere is cool. Love the beer selection on tap. They have my absolute favorite beer on tap from Trim tab. The French dip panini with their own special sauce has been my favorite so far. My husband got the salsa chicken he really likes. I also really liked the horseradish roast beef. I always get the bacon baked potato salad as my side because it is so delicious. The artichoke dip was also really good and I didn’t want to share it. There is a really good and unique wine list you can order from by the glass or the bottle and they also have a section of wine bottles for purchase you can take home. Or drink there too I think. The selection is different than anywhere in the area. The beer selection for take home purchase is way better than any place in the area and we have started to add new brewery’s to our favorites list. Good to know– you can fill up a growler of your favorite beer on tap!

I can’t rave about this place enough. Pick your bottle of wine, order your food at the counter, and enjoy. The pâté is better than Chez Fon Fon and served with pickled vegetables and a cream cheese spread that is out of this world. Try any sandwich — I haven’t had a bad one. Wednesdays are half-priced bottles of wine.

We have been a few times and each time our experience has been awesome. Being off the beaten path probably isn’t the best, but it definitely has the neighborhood feel. I think this place needs to be the new oak hill! Their on tap beer is on point with all local, plus seeds nitro brew. The sandwiches are great. Wish they had a few more ‘healthy or paleo’ options. I would be there all the time if there were more of those options. I tried the wedge salad with added chicken and the chicken tasted like it was smoked on a big green egg which is a huge plus! Overall great experience. Great wine and beer choices, I still need to try their take home options in the casseroles and meats. The manager of the shop is always so friendly and engaging! Brock I think is his name.

Service is awesome. They are genuinely glad that you’re there. Food was really good and beer selection is fantastic. Great kids night on Mondays with skeebal and the park across the street. Will definitely be back and bring friends.

Ugh, wasn’t impressed at all with the food, hardly any meat on the sandwiches and pretty basic. Nothing impressive about the flavors or sides either. Best part of the place is the look and feel. Seems like best use would be having a drink and playing shuffleboard.

Cool spot with good sandwiches, friendly service and plenty of beverage choices, but boy is it loud. They’d do great to hang some fabrics or add a few rugs because its tough to even converse at your table. We were there on a Sunday night and the shop was hopping with young families and lots of kids. Maybe with a different mix of patrons it would be a bit easier on the ears. We’ll certainly be back. It’s a great addition to Homewood.

To be honest, it’s okay. I was a bit disappointed. The good:(1) Interesting concept(I especially like having a place where I can get a six pack on the way home).(2) Family friendly.(3) All the workers seemed nice. The bad:(1) Food was merely okay with small portions for the prices.(2) Atmosphere was very loud with more bar seating than tables.(3) Not environmentally friendly with styrofoam cups and plastic cutlery.(4) Beer is on the expensive side and there doesn’t seem to be a happy hour. The ugly:(1) I like the basic look but could use some more artwork, plants, flowers, etc.(2) Prices all around seem a bit high for the quality.(3) Have all the to-go beer, wine, and food in one area. I’ll certainly be back, though, and update the review accordingly.

Nice convivial establishment. Friendly staff and the food is delicious. I had The Pâté, Pig and pickle. Yummy at a neighborhood bar and grill! Are you kidding? nope :) Turns out a Frank Stitt Protégé is the cook here. The homemade pickles, beans and carrots are awesome. High gravity beer, wine and regular beer here. Yay a welcome edition to West Homewood!!! ***** they have lowered the prices since the soft opening :)********************

Super yummy, but I am partial to the Chef! Neil Ellis was the Executive Chef at Chez Lulu, but regardless, we took the kiddos to the soft opening and they loved their grill cheese and their quesadillas! We are looking forward to going back soon!

This is a new deli/bar serving wine, beer, sandwiches, and bar food. I was lucky enough to attend the«soft» opening this past Saturday. The restaurant officially opens September 2. Beer selection is excellent and I understand will be constantly changing. The inside is bright and inviting. There are a host of cool games including skee ball. Large televisions give it almost a sports bar vibe. The staff is friendly and excited about the new venture. The food is outstanding. I understand the chef used to be the chef at Chez LuLu in English Village. I had the roast beef sandwich with horseradish aioli. The bread was soft and fresh and the meat and aioli were delicious. My wife had something off the bar food menu featuring homemade pickles and pâté. Yes, here pâté is bar food. It was perfect. I suspect I will be a regular here as it is walking distance from my house in West Homewood. It is right across the street from the newly renovated Patriot Park, which will make it a perfect stop after my evening walk.
