You must come for the cuisine and to buy some of the delicious fruits, veggies, jams… etc. And to experience the beauty of this hidden gem! All home grown right on the farm. Jon and Rachel are amazing. Jon’s cooking is beyond amazing. He has a gift like no other… he cooked for us this past weekend and It was so delicious and all the ingredients were so fresh and pure. He really made me want to live there lol They were also so welcoming and down to earth and Jon is hilarious! Wonderful personalities :) It really was a beautiful break from the reality of life. It let’s you remember to enjoy these type of moments every now and then! I’ll definitely be back when we’re in town and I definitely recommend you visit this farm. Its truly magical! Work, eat, club, sleep… repeat. I got tired of the daily grind, an endless cycle of monotonous deadlines. I needed a break, a getaway from the city that was swallowing me alive bit by bit. After alot of trials and errors, a friend of mine mentioned her experience at a farm close by where she felt«one with nature» or rather«down to earth». A place where time moved lazily and carefree of any responsibility. I needed to know more, see more. I needed to go to Three Sisters Farm. Made reservations, marked my calendar, booked my airfare, and said goodbye(temporarily) to the machine that was Atlanta, Georgia. Ok, so I was a little reluctant at first that it wasn’t really close by, but close-ish. What the heck, why not! I thought, as I slightly reclined my airplane seat into the knees of the passenger behind me and dozed off. Ugh, economy. What is it about warm tropical places that makes you forget about your cubicle back home? Is it the smell of fresh, non poluted, air? Or the sounds of birds and cool breezes instead of car horns and speeding metro trains. When the Über driver dropped me off at the entrance of the farm, I immediately smelled fresh fruits and vegetables ripening on the farm. Thats when I realized, I was no where near any deadline anytime soon. Rachel welcomed me with her carefree attitude and Jon waved with a smile from under the shade of a jackfruit tree as he wrestled loose a jackfruit the size of a turkey. Its like being surrounded by a tropical forest in an exotic country as I walked around with Jon sipping my wine and looking at all the different kinds of exotic fruits and vegetables. He was teaching me about how important our role with nature is and showing how easy it is to grow sustainably. Wow! For the first time in a long time, I really felt like I was«one with nature». Im surprised at how too many people don’t know about this amazing place, but then again it is far from the city. A hidden jewel that can only be attained by word of mouth. I waited on the deck of a wooden tiki hut while Jon prepared my meal. As I stared out with my glass of wine overlooking into the distance and into my future. With a deep breath, everything made sense again. It was clear and no chance of rain. I will miss this place, this experience, this feeling of being home away from home. I want it to last forever, but I know that deadline is coming soon and its back to reality, back to waiting in traffic and wondering when I’ll be back here to Three Sisters Farm. Thanks again Rachel and Jon for a life changing experience, It took me a while, but I finally finished the jackfruit I brought back. See you soon!

In case you haven’t figured it out, my checkins at the Cow Field aren’t really at a farm(read the line about how«Churrasco and friends» are a tax write off.) However, today I had the chance to have a real farm to table brunch at a real farm — The Three Sisters Farm — in Homestead. The drive south and through country roads is worth it. Three Sisters is an actual, working organic fruit and veggie farm(no cows, though they do have chickens) and our group got a tour. This gave me the chance to enjoy fresh off the vine tomatoes, carrots and parsley. I also saw kale, a hand sized yam and various other veggies. The event I attended was a monthly brunch(the pre-paid fee includes the tour and sampling!) My farm to table brunch was almost like in the trees, taking wood stairs with a natural cut railing up to a tree house tiki. My meal consisted of cassava with red peppers, mamey sapodilla waffles as well as vegan pancakes and mango juice. I also loved the maduros(yep, grown on site as well.) These are all from the farm! Although they said they plan to start egg production soon, the eggs were still organic from a neighboring farm. The actual three sisters who own the farm with their brother were super pleasant hostesses, during the tour and food service. Heck, they even brought out coffee to help me thaw out since I actually got there super early. It made for a fun afternoon to check this part of Miami out. Want to make it even more fun? Take Krome back instead of the turnpike.

I am so glad that we found these little hidden jewel in the swamps of the south Florida:) It’s a small scale organic farm run by husband and wife team: John and Rachel. These are the most friendly and down to earth people you will ever see in business. I actually forget that it is business-when I come there, feels like I’m visiting old friends-even though we met them last winter while our annual Florida visit. They have a food Cagon and they cook fresh and super delicious food that comes from their farm-all organic and grown with love! Did I mention that they grow the most delicious star fruit in the world along with so many other exotic fruits and produce. Do yourself a favor and go there-you will not be disappointed!

Unfortunately I had a horrible experience an it only was as far as the phone call. They have some young punk working there. This young lady is rude, obnoxious on the phone. Could not even get a world in. They post things on there Facebook an do not follow thru with there posting, call them on it an you will be told they don’t care, an don’t want you as a customer. Don’t worry I wouldn’t spend my money at your farm.

I called Three sisters to see if they can host us a quick tour. We were checking out the area trying to buy some organic fruit and veggies but it seemed like all the farms were between the seasons. I’m so glad we found this paradise garden. Our kids had a blast running around tropical trees. We found star fruits taste amazing when they are fresh off the tree. Rachel, the owner, showed us around the farm and we left with few boxes full of great organic veggies. We have our own farm in IL and now we r planting tumeric from three sisters farm. I was told they are making dinners and brunches using all this fresh produce. we look forward to visit this little organic paradise for nice romantic dinner in a open veranda.

A farm like no other! I recently visited them on a Saturday during one of my local produce adventures and was pleasantly surprised. I did not eat any prepared food, but I did buy some produce from their fruit stand and even picked some things on my own with their assistance. Although I live about an hour away, I’ll definitely visit again soon!

Amazing farm cuisine! Our hosts Jon and Steve cooked and presented a wonderful meal for me and my friends. We ate outside, watching the sunset, under beautiful candles. The food was prepared with such creativity and flavor. We brought our own wine and it went great with fully farm grown meal. They raise everything on property or is from other local farms. Such a wonderful night!
