This was a nice Sunday afternoon diversion. Got there early with my lawn chair and staked out prime shade tree territory near the stage and crawling distance to the beer tent($ 3 Landsharks on a very hot day were great) The turnout wasn’t that much, but that was good because there weren’t that many food vendors… My favorite was George Mira’s $ 12 meal of 2 crab cake sliders with 5 conch fritters, with sauce, tomato slices and onions.(And I got to shoot the breeze with George, the legendary ‘Canes football star himself!) Also very good was Craig’s Restaurant’s famous fish sandwich(one of the best Ive ever had). The first band playing was Shadow Creek from Davie, FL. Very good country and classic rock. their guitar player looked like a guy you’d see in line in Publix, but onstage, he absolutely shredded it! Improvements which could be made would be a wider variety of vendors, a wider variety of beer and wine, and some more port-johns. Also, maybe a few dining tents to offer more shade. All in all, I left full and satisfied, with a nice afternoon beer buzz.
