New to the neighborhood, stopped in a few times for lunch. Food is very good & reasonably priced. It appears they have daily food & drink specials listed on the wall. Prices for food and drinks seemed very fair. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. I’ll be back…

If you want to be in a place with a bunch of worn out, loud obnoxious middle age women, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is a sports bar, but the people there were not my type at all. Maybe it was a bad few times but the people here were less than desirable and ruined the image of the place

P. Harry’s is one of our go-to places if we’re looking to stay local and not go to Tinley or Davidson’s. It’s a sports bar, but the theme is unique enough for those who don’t particularly like sports bars(like myself) to still have a decent time. On a Friday or Saturday, it turns into a younger crowd which is cool, too. What keeps me coming back are the drink specials. Last time I was in, import drafts were ~$ 3, which makes that one of the cheapest pints of Guinness around on a Tuesday night. Similarly, Thursdays are $ 3 you-call-its which are cool, but what makes it even better is that you can get top shelf alcohol! Cheap Guinness, top shelf mixed drinks? Sold! I’ve never had the food, friends have ordered chicken parm sandwiches and even tacos saying they weren’t bad. Trish is an awesome server. Our big group is often a little difficult to keep track of as far as tabs and drink-buying goes, but she almost always gets it right and is super kind. Great spot for cheap-er drinks on the weekdays.

Very comfortable atmosphere, staff is really attentive and friendly. Wide variety of options for food. We went there for Bears opener, food was outstanding and there was plenty of it! I would definitely go back. They put out a super nice spread.

Had a great experience. Our waitress Trisha could not have been nicer. Sandwiches were very good and very affordable. Can’t wait to go back. Hope Trisha will be there.

First time here tonight. Food was blah, service was downright bad. Husbands beer came in a plastic cup because«there were no clean glasses.» To the waitresses credit, she was probably a great server, just completely overwhelmed, as we had to hunt her down for drink refills, and the check. Obviously poorly managed. It wasn’t even all that crowded! In any event, we live in the area and gave it a try. It failed miserably, and we WON’T be back!

I’ve given this place more then its fair share of chances. The food is below average and at least one owner treated like a bar what is personal playground. After waiting 20 minutes for my food I tried to cancel the order. I tried to pay for my bar tab and he refused to let me leave without my food that has yet to be served. At this point it’s still talking additional 10 minutes to get cheese sticks and queso dias. Also on multiple occasions you’ll see the same owner completely wasted behind the bar. This place need new management is currently complete joke.

This bar has major potential, but here’s the issues. They have kid parties here, why are there kids running around a bar at 1am? It’s basically like a daycare for alcoholic parents. The server took forever to come around. The place was nice and beer was cheap, but service was slow and the kids were annoying and when i say kids im talking 5 years old.

Great local spot. Over the past few years, I am starting to get this place. Nothing overwhelming, but a good comfortable bar. Check out the daily specials

Not much to say about olé’ P Harrys. The food is meh… the beef sandwich was decent. However, the worst part about this place is the wait staff. Upon asking for our check we had to wait over 15 minutes just to see the bill. I’ve been here 3 – 4 times and this is always the case. 2 stars for the cheap beer.

It was Hawks Wednesday as well as half price pizza night. I was with 3 friends and we all had are own pie. We were stressed out, OK. I was surprised at the fact that they were delicious! Razor thin crust and lots of toppings of whatever you ordered. The drinks were fine as well. But it seems as this is a come and go place. No one stays for the duration, except for the old men and of course, us! The waitress was poky. She zoomed by a lot, and looked at our table. But my glass was empty most of the night. The prices are dirt cheap, like the men! But you ladies better throw your line out as soon as you see um comin! Cuz they ain’t stay’n!

HORRIBLE. HORRIBLETERRIBLE. I looked this place up on Unilocal and usually, your suggestions are spot on. this one was not. Will be going back to MULLET’S… Not much of an atmosphere. can’t tell if it’s supposed to be a sports bar with a beach theme, or a beach bar with sports. Either way, the place sucks! Waitress was tripling as hostess, server & bartender. She seats us with no menus, no water, no silverware. We order a bowl of soup & cup of chili, b/c some goofball said it was the best in Homer Glen: well, if that is the best, then I hate to see the worst! still no silverware… even with food! Finally get her attention to bring eating utensils. Owner is waling around on his cell phone, clueless. I attempt to buy my lotto tickets from the machine on a filled out card, and the machine is only for QUICKPICKS! HUH?! so now, the manager has to stop his texting to give me my $ 5.00 back. He still has no clue that his server needs help. Food comes. husband has the AYCE fish special: a pile of grease on the plate. I have a pulled pork sandwich, which included a gob of something rubbery & not edible. When the server finally came around and asked how everything was, my husband said to wrap his grease pile up and went to the car. I sat there for 15 minutes before she came & asked if I wanted MINE wrapped. REALLY? I showed her the rubbery gob on my plate & the grease from his fish. Some bouncer-looking jock comes by, and says“What’s wrong with the food??” I showed it to him… another 15 minutes go by before I get the check and they took off a lousy $ 8.00 for that mess … STAYAWAY!!! STAYFARAWAY!!! JOHNTAFFER, FROMBARRESCUECOMEHELPTHISPLACE!!!

Meh indeed. It’s an ok bar and the only one around here with a pool table, dart board and shuffle board. BUT… half of the service sucks. I’ve had a couple decent waitresses and bartenders, only name I remember is Melanie(she was on top of things), but sometimes I’ve waited 15min to get a drink when the place is predominantly empty, though that was mainly because the bartender was drunk(she ran off to puke once). The food is mediocre and the atmosphere is that of. well imagine that Giligans Island hit a hurricane and collided with a sports bar. The whole place just doesn’t jive. I get mixed signals from the décor. Sometimes it makes me want a maitai and sometimes it makes me sea sick. But as much as I complain, it has been on an upswing the last few times I’ve been here. I haven’t seen the crap bartender(fingers crossed she’s gone) and the service has improved. But two/three good visits doesn’t undo years of bad over night. We’ll see, as I will continue to come back for the darts and pool.

My first experience here. Got invited by some friends to come watch a game. Service was pretty slow as they didn’t even ask for our orders for at least 15 minutes and there after we needed to flag down anyone for additional service. The worst part is that when we ordered our food the waitress told us tomorrows specials and our whole party ordered based off of what we were told. When our bill came our waitress said nothing and just handed us a bill well over what we expecting. After sending our bill back twice the waitress informed us that the manager was not going to honor the special prices and just gave us $ 3 off of the $ 25 that should have removed. Overall very poor experience. By the way the beer selection here is very lacking, don’t expect much unless you enjoy beer with light in its name.

This was my first time at PH. I order the CHILI with a side of bread and diet coke. The CHILI was outstanding… I don’t like thick chili or chili that is soup like, but little red riding hood would find this CHILI perfect. I left feeling satisfied and not needing seconds(healthy portions), not to busy at lunch so service was fast. I have not been back but will visit next time I’m in the area. Did not sample anything else but you can’t go wrong with the Chili.

Stopped into Pelican Harrys for lunch after I heard that they had a reasonably priced menu and some great drink specials. TALKABOUTREASONABLE! They had some awesome lunch specials! Our server was very friendly, and had great recommendations for our meal! We chatted about the drink specials and they have a bunch of specials that I would take the 20 minute drive for. The food was tasty and the portion was perfect for this hungry mama! I ordered a sandwich with fries and the potato soup, the perfect meal on a cold day! I’ll definitely go back to Homer Glen for those drink specials & some more of that tasty food!

Went to Pelican Harry’s for a Bears Packer game. I found the place to be a typical strip mall sports bar. Big screen TV’s everywhere, typical line up of bar food, mega-brewery beer, black ceilings and dart games. My freind and I had spinach-artichoke dip and later we had sausage pizza. At half time the restaurant served complimentary chicken parmesan, salad, mostacolli, and garlic bread. The spinach artichoke was too thick and salty for my taste. Likewise the pizza didn’t taste of much except for salt. The chicken parmesan and garlic bread were OK… but for free, I didn’t expect it to be gourmet level. Only real beef I had was with the mostacolli, no cheese and barely any sauce. Too dry for my tastes. We ordered pitchers of beer and they were served in a plastic pitcher with plastic cups. I found this to be a bit annoying. Also the waitress had all the personality of a carrot. I guess this is a pretty safe place to drink, eat bar food, and watch the game but it is just to «run of the mill» for my taste.
