Fantastic cocktails, in a charming atmosphere on Sunset. Lots of interesting tequila based beverages priced between $ 8-$ 12, and they do not skimp on the pour of alcohol! I was buzzed off of one El Camino, which I highly recommend. Perfect balance of sweet agave and sour lime, with a delicious Grand Marnier float. My friend enjoyed the«Donkey Show» which is basically a Michelada with a shot of tequila dropped in. I have not tried the food here, but everything I saw being served looked good, particularly the guacamole. Bartenders were very nice and attentive. All credit cards accepted.

Best Shredded Beef I’ve ever had! It’s amazing and so are the Margaritas. Edgar(the bartender) is amazing and on top of it. Highly recommend this hole in the wall!

First time here and it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had in hollywood yet! The bar staff AMANDA and ANIBAL have made this visit exactly why I’ll be back! The food was amazing and the atmosphere is very welcoming! I was with a friend for her last night in town and this is was exactly what she needed! Special Thanks to the bar staff for being so wonderful!

Nice Taco Tuesday experience. Me and a guest had 4 carne asada tacos and 2 chicken tacos(ordered by the pair is required). The meat was tender and flavorful for both the carne asada and the chicken. I also recommend the guacamole, which made to order, which is apparent when you receive it. Catherine, the bartender, also makes a mean margarita. I only needed one, and I’m not the casual drinking type. I hope this review helps. Ron

I came here for cinco de mayo and it didn’t take long at all to get seated. I’m only giving 3 stars because the food was great. The fried egg on top of my nachos is something that fits the palette well without compromising any other flavors. The huge downside is the service. I asked for a straw three times and never received it. I asked for extra napkins and never got it either. I was skeptical why this place had the rating of 3 ½ stars but I quickly found out why. If you’re looking for good food, it’ll satisfy, but don’t expect good service. You’ll quickly be disappointed.

If you hungry & want a lot of Mexican food this ISNOTTHEPLACE. Plates are small and over priced. Food was decent, nothing notable or outstanding. Michaledas(bloody beers) were a 6⁄10. Wayyyyyyyyy too much salt on the rim for all the drinks. Salt on salt. Fun atmosphere. Great music. Par food and drink.

Awesome little spot for casual Mexican. I only stopped here because I passed this place driving down sunset and I’m glad I did. Anival was an excellent host and he helped guide us through the menu. We started off with Mission Margaritas and the crazy spicy«Razor’s Edge» — basically a margarita with fresh jalapeño. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss the Carnitas en Salsa Verde tacos with creamy salsa verde crudo. Two tacos per order, but they’re small enough that you can try a few different varieties. You won’t regret it!

This is a great place for me to get my Mexican food cravings satisfied. A few of us ambled over after the elections candidate meet and greet that we had across the street at serenity west studios. It was the first one so most of us were relieved it was over. We decided a time of slight celebration over some margaritas were in order. It was filled inside and there was some empty tables in the patio so our group grabbed those straight away. One of the wait staff helped us to get situated and menus passed out. First order of the evening, was to order a pitcher and someone suggested the Jalapeño Margarita to which a chorus of yeses redouble resounded. Sounded great to me! Chips and salsa we’re brought to us which w gobbled up with the salsa and a thing of guacamole. Glad someone had the foresight because it was a good combination. After a bit, a few of us realized we were hungry so we asked for menus again and placed Individual orders from tacos to nachos. I ordered a burrito with chicken and asked for it to come wet. Waiter asked if I wanted it spicy and I replied of course, the spicier better. Burrito, chips, salsa and a tasty margarita, you couldn’t have a better Mexican meal. I enjoyed the burrito filled with rice, beans China’s of chicken, so good. And it wasn’t just the margarita talking either, lol. They have an impressive list of tequila too. I’m not much of a tequila drinker but give me a margarita or sangria any day. This it’s a great place to come solo but especially enjoyable in a group. I think our council has found a good place to come to after meetings. Olé!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and tasty dinner with a significant other, friend or colleague, you will not find it here. But then, I’m guessing that most that come here know better. I clearly did not. We came on a Saturday evening as soon as they opened(6PM). We were the first people there. The seating options aren’t comfortable and are all very close together. It’s a bar. And if I hadn’t already figured that out, the funereal darkness and remarkably loud music would have clued me in I suppose. They do not have iced tea. Ok, I get it… this is after all, a bar. The menu is small and doesn’t offer much in the way of variety. At least, that’s what I believe to be true… I really couldn’t see the menu at all and needed the flashlight app on my phone. I kept staring at the menu(with the flashlight) becoming increasingly agitated. There was nothing — and I mean nothing that I saw that looked remotely appetizing. Finally I settled on Nachos. For dinner. Yep. It’s like that. She got a couple of veggie tacos. We were in and out of there in like 45 minutes even with all the time trying to read and find something we wanted on the menu. Because we really didn’t eat. The food wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had but — let’s all say it together — this is a BAR. They don’t care about food and the fact that we showed up for dinner and not a night of raucous drinking was a misstep for sure. This may be fun if you like this sort of scene(blindness and the promise of hearing loss). But it is absolutely not a restaurant. It’s a bar that serves some food which is probably a hell of a lot better after a few Margaritas. It may be fun for a different type of person. A non-hungry one with night vision.

Mission Cantina’s Happy Hour is really great. I got an order of steak nachos. It was so huge, I had half of it for lunch the next day. I got a Strawberry Margarita, which had chunks of strawberries. It was very good, but not part of the happy hour menu. On the Happy Hour menu you can get a regular margarita. But they don’t serve the icey blended slushy margaritas. Only on the rocks, so that is why I decided to get a strawberry margarita instead. Beautiful décor inside. And very nice wait staff too.

W O W ! Awesome happy hour deals. And the food is equally W O W. I am falling in love with salsa ASWESPEAK. They need to bottle this stuff! Best salsa that has touched my lips in idk how long!!! And the margaritas??? Don’t get me started. 10⁄10. Exactly what I look for in a Marg. And $ 5 ?? Count me in!!! This place is a must go. Muy Bueno!!!

Came here on a first date and I’m glad I did! The staff was really friendly, and VERY attentive. Alfonso also came around after each item that was served to make sure it was to our liking. Drinks here are also amazing! Ask Alonso to make you one of his signature drinks! He brought us something with Baileys and Chambord and it was F-ING AMAZING! Vibe here is cool. A place people come to eat good food, have some drinks, and socialize.

We love this place! The drinks are great especially the margarita. The menu is not big but they have the most popular Mexican food items. I have tried the burrito quesadilla and tacos. All of them were delicious. Try their homemade salsas also, super good! What makes this place special is the service. The bartender is a great guy who makes jokes and genuinely want to make sure you are having a great time. Can’t wait to be back!

You can never go wrong with Chicken Tortilla Soup and Tacos. Never. Ever. I you are feeling down and need a quick pick-me-upper then go to Mission Cantina and order some Chicken Tortilla Soup and Tacos(any tacos). I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday night to enjoy the food, tacos and margaritas. The Chicken Tortilla Soup was spicy, crunchy, and a perfect dish to complement the cold weather. I also ordered two types of tacos: Barbarcoa and Carne Asada. Both were excellent tacos that I strongly recommend for any taco lover. We washed everything down with a margarita and it was a perfect homerun. The restaurant has one TV screen for you to watch the game, and street parking is a bit difficult to find in the area. Although the restaurant was not full, the service here was rather slow. Took a long a time to get our chips and salsa and check, but the food was good. Thanks Mission Cantina!

Aesthetic, hippy, intimate, stylish, tastefully put together. Great location too(right on Sunset). This is the perfect place for a few drinks and a couple plates of small eats. The drinks and food are not something you haven’t tasted elsewhere. It’s the ambiance of the place attracts people from walking in and coming back. And I do have to praise the chicken quesadilla– very juicy and got its own personalities. Definitely recommended, definitely coming back.

Great service!(Shout out to Gina! Awesome personality behind the bar!) Great vibe ! Legit margaritas! …Tip: if you get the Mission Margarita and there’s two or more of you, get the pitcher! Didn’t try the food this time, but smelled awesome!

Can you review a Mexican place if all you had while you were there was a pitcher of margaritas? Hate to skew the rating, but that pitcher had me feeling something else, man. $ 25 for a pitcher that supposedly makes six margaritas but we definitely got eight out of it, and not eight watered down margaritas. Nice, solidly made margaritas. Friendly service and the place was almost completely empty on a Wednesday night during what I’d think was peak feedin’ time.

I came here with some friends for dinner on Taco Tuesday, and we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant is small and cozy, but it has really cool décor with stained glass windows and an outdoor patio. You really can’t beat $ 1 tacos! Of note, the tacos are small in size and only have the meat in them(unlike the regular priced ones on the menu with other toppings like avocado). However, they were delicious! Even though there was an 8 taco maximum, we were satisfied. Plus, the waiter brought plenty of salsa and onions to top off our tacos! We had also ordered a margarita pitcher for the table, and it was a little disappointing… it tasted like margarita mix without the tequila — super sweet and barely any tequila! :( Our drink order came with chips and salsa, so that was nice. The chips tasted freshly made and the salsa was awesome. Overall, we had a good time! Even though the food and drink weren’t all that great, the prices were spot on! Just the prices alone are enough to bring me back for more $ 1 tacos on Taco Tuesdays!
