El Chato Tacos

This place is everywhere I want to be. The people that work there are amazing people and are very patient considering that more than half their clients are past the legal limit. The place is family owned and it’s apparent that the recipe is also. Everything is flavorful and is consistently excellent. Great place to sober up on those weekend party nights too (don’t drink and drive btw). Everything is good here. Tacos al pastor are my personal favorite. They also have burritos and quesadillas (both huge) depending on what you’re in the mood for. I’ve never had top notch authentic tacos in Mid city the way they do them here. They are heavy with the onions, so make sure u order them on the side. Great place for the area, given that Mid city is devoid of any quality taco places. Excellent price too. Tacos should always be less than 2 bucks. The only bad thing about this place is that it’s not open 24 – 7. Tip them well, again the owners are good people.

Burritos are now $ 5 but still great.
Also I saw on the other Unilocal page someone saying that parking sucked. If you knew how to read street signs, you’ll learn there is AMPLE street parking in the nighttime. You need only look on Olympic.
