The ambience is perfect, they have cumbio playing at an enjoyable level. The food is off the hook. Best pupusas I’ve had that weren’t made at home. The tacos are bomb, the al pastor has perfect flavor. Will be returning regularly. Seriously great food, and prices are low. It’s a hidden gem.

Pupusas for their price are not at my expectation. Also a charge of a dollar for using your credit card. I took two friends there. My experience was not the best for what I paid. Good thing is service and very clean.

I have never had a bad experience here, ever. The food is fantastic, especially the fresh guacamole with the right amount of lemon. The papusas are cheesy and crispy. The service is usually pretty quick, but always with a smile. Street parking only and moderate to low prices.

This place has the BEST pupusas in Hollywood! So clean and fresh. A lot of places tend to make them too greasy but not these. Any kind you get they always come out fresh and flavorful. My only complaint is the service is hit or miss.

Worst delivery experience of my life! My order was fairly simple — two taco plate and two pupusas. The estimated delivery time was an hour but it came after an hour and forty minutes! To add insult to injury, they charge a $ 4.99 delivery fee. Hey, I have no problem paying for services like delivery, but it’s definitely not warranted if you take almost 2 hours to deliver food! When I opened the bag everything was soggy and cold. I took a few bites of each but it was pretty much inedible and I tossed it out. The BIGGEST waste of money I’ve ever spent. Thanks a lot La Numero Uno!

$ 1.75 Tacos The Al Pastor is great. Comes with smokey hot sauce, chips and cucumber slices. No pineapple or condiment bar. This little hole in the wall is awesome. Nice dining area and a few tables outside. The staff is really friendly. Good food should take a while and it does but worth the wait. Lots of vegeterian options too… Chicken Mole Enchiladas are the best I’ve ever had.

What a great place! Clean, friendly atmosphere and delicious food, muy rico! Yo comí el pescado asado. A full plate of food without having to order rice and other basics that a lot of LA restaurants like to charge you for even though it is not common in the country of origin. The two ladies serving customers were polite and friendly. The food came relatively quickly, but there was no rushed vibe. Nothing but good things to say: great food, great service, good value!

This place is awesome! What’s not to love? Fresh Mexican food at a reasonable price! Food was really fresh! We ordered the chicken burrito, and chicken quesadilla, both were super delicious… Staff is super friendly! Will surely return!

I really want to like this place. The restaurant is cute and the food is good. But the service is very poor, and food takes very long to prepare. 40 minutes for two tacos and one papusa! The wait staff is also inattentive. Every single table who left while I was in the restaurant needed to request their check. Another quirk — make sure you spend more than $ 10 if you’re using a card. My bill was $ 9.27, and I just told them to charge the $ 10. But no, apparently I’m subject to a dollar fee, so they ended up charging me $ 10.27. It doesn’t matter, of course, but the principle of it is ridiculous.

Great food and service. Pupusas are great, Empanadas are also tasty. Chips and Guacamole were generous serving while food was being made. Will be returning soon.

Tried this spot out via this Unilocal app. Delivery service was prompt. The spicy shrimp was delicious. The sauce to the dish was amazing. I also got a carne asada taco and a pupusa which was tasteful as well.

I was introduced to the«Torta» by my co-workers. «It’s like a sandwich» they said. Well, they were wrong! This is nothing like a traditional sandwich I had in mind… This thing is huge and enough for two if you are not too hungry. The bread is fresh, soft and home-made good! My steak Torta has some kind of black bean spread on the bread, generous chunks of steaks, slices of avocado, large slice of tomato, looks and taste like a piece of mozzarella cheese, and lettuce. All that for just six bucks in Hollywood? That’s insane. Insanely delicious that is! Must try their Pupusas next…

Long time diner, first time reviewer. I always loved the Coctel de Camarones aka Scrimp Cocktail. But last night I tried for the first time the homemade tortillas that my wife got. Wow I never tasted a tortilla like this. First thing you notice is it is really thick. It was still super hot. It is more like a Latin-style dinner roll than a regular tortilla in my opinion. I could eat them all day. Everything I have tried is good and the menu seems to contain many hidden gems. ADVICE: GETSOMEHOMEMADETORTILLASANDTHANKMELATER

WOW amazing pupusa!!! This is why you go to LA! For their tasty and affordable Mexican food! FOOD: We wanted a light dinner and we ordered 3 tacos($ 1.50/each), and 2 roasted chicken pupusa($ 4 – 5 each) between the 4 of us girls. Everything tasted so delicious, even when they are ordered to-go! They make everything from scratch. You stretch the cheese in the pupusa for MILEESSSS. Everyone who knows me know that I HATECHEESE(see my Unilocal profile), but I LOVED the puposa because the roasted chicken inside was SO delicious. Hands down the best pupusa I had so far. The tacos were also good. They gave us a lot of condiments(sauce, cole slaw, etc). Tip: Go to a supermarket next door and grab some tortilla chips and sauce. Best decision EVER. PRICE: We paid $ 16 total($ 4/person). You can’t get a better deal than this. SERVICE: We came around 9pm on a Saturday night and had to wait 25 – 30 minutes for our order, which was a pretty long time, probably because they were making everything from scratch. SETTING: Very cozy set-up! There are tables indoors and outside on the street. On a nice summer night I would definitely come here for dinner and chill on the street side to join the LA skyline. OVERALLIMPRESSION: LA never fails me with its tasty and affordable Mexican food. Would definitely recommend!

Truly my favorite food done to perfection! Once again Completely Satisfied!!! They obviously care about their customers, and the food that they prepare! Even todays simple order of a couple steak tacos, beans and rice. It was perfect! The steak was cooked and seasoned just right, Not underdone, and more importantly, NOTOVERDONE or Dry!!! The refried black beans had a rich warm flavor, and the rice was perfect! You have to come and try for yourself! You will be glad you did!!!

Was craving some authentic Mexican and El Salvadorian so Unilocal led us here and I was happy it did! It was fairly slow but a nice day so we sat outside. The server was friendly and quick. Started off with chips and guac since she asked(I can never say no to that) and the guac was fantastic! Good portion too. I wanted to try a little of everything so we ordered a lot: — Cheese pupusa: excellent! Not very greasy and good amount of cheese. Next time I want to try the cheese & pork pupusa — Al pastor taco: pretty dry. My least favorite item we ordered — Shrimp fajitas: solid. I wish it had a few more shrimps but it was very affordable and tasty. The black beans and rice were very good with it — Carnitas in chili verde sauce(I forgot the actual name of it): Also very good and well portioned for the cost. This also came with the black beans and rice which were awesome. Possibly my favorite part of the carnitas and fajitas are their home made tortillas. They are thick and soft with great flavor! All that food for about $ 34(before tip) was a great deal in my opinion(two meals worth). We will definitely be back to try some other home made dishes. No parking but I guess you can park right across the street in the Office Depot parking lot(we did).

Fresh Salsa, clean tables, good drinks, I like this place. I usually get their fish tacos. Sometimes the fish you can totally tell is frozen, but they do a good job seasoning so it doesn’t taste too bad. Great pupusas! A winner!

I really like this restaurant. After having a bad experience at an El Salvadoran eatery in East Hollywood called Jaragua where they discriminate by giving menus with higher prices to people who are gringos(foreigners) or appear to have more money, this place is a breath of fresh air. They are both a Mexican and El Salvadoran eatery serving traditional dishes from both countries. El Salvador is known for their pupusas and I enjoy eating at places that make these home made tortillas that are fluffy and thick. You can get that here. I had dinner here one night and ordered the carne asada steak. The plate was $ 11 and there was a lot of food! First, I was served a basket of chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was home made with a spicy kick to it just the way I like it. Then my plate comes out with a large flat iron steak, generous portion of rice, refried black beans and salad with fresh veggies on top. I also was given a side of two of the hand made tortillas. This meal was so good and very filling! I also liked the décor of the place as it was very festive and cozy and my server was really pleasant and friendly. If a place like this with nice décor and ambiance located in a nicer neighborhood that isn’t ghetto can serve a generous portion of food at a reasonable price, it really makes me wonder why these other El Salvadoran restaurants located in a crappy part of town and housed in a sketchy strip mall where you’re concerned your car will get broken into or vandalized think they can charge so much more? It’s so ridiculous! Anyways, I highly recommend this place and will definitely be eating at this restaurant again in the future and look forward to trying the pupusas.
