Had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon before a Cirque show. love the eccentric décor it has a comfy cabin feel to it. Service staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the boho burger and I have to say its in my top 3 of burgers I’ve ever had! Juicy, cooked just right, big bun, with all the toppings! Hubby had fish and chips just the right crispness and not greasy. We would def come back if we were in the area.

Came here out of the blue as I was going to meet a new employee to discuss things and he lives close to here so we decided to go here or Rolling Stones Restaurant and we chose this. Didn’t know what to make of it. The menu is very limited. Beer, wine, and maybe 8 or some food items. I chose the fish and chips and surprisingly, it was very tasty, fish was tender and fried to a flaky texture accompanied by fries. Didn’t get a beer or wine but he did and said it was good. Cool place, spacious, would come back to hang out and try their other stuff. They also have a bar area as well and some outdoor seating.

If you are not from the area the first thing you will notice is the Hollywood & Highland shopping complex that they are in is huge. If you drive, the garage is amazingly large and after parking you need to trek up to the 4th floor to find BoHo. All in all, however, the roominess of the place makes this task pretty easy. It is great that they work with OpenTable as coming in after a long day to find a bite to eat we wanted to be sure there was no wait and this worked well. From the rather diverse menu I was drawn to the fish and chips for the night we were there and it was one of the top preparations of have had of this dish. At first it was kind of strange to see the fries covered by the fish but on the good side the fish was not at all greasy and thus the fries had a warm, and dry, home under the fish — in other words it actually worked out well. Top top it all the craft beer list was long enough to keep me happy and they even offered to bring samples if we were unsure what to order. Yes, that indeed works for me!

Oh man, this place must be suffering big time during this heat wave — their air conditioning is broken!!! We stopped in here before seeing Cirque Du Soleil. I learned from another Unilocaler that it’s best to let them know you are trying to make a show, and I pass that same tip on to you! The service is laid-back, borderline between not feeling rushed and your water stays empty for a while. But all the waitresses were really nice and when we did catch them to ask for something, they brought it quickly. On a quest to try every good burger joint in San Diego County, we thought we’d extend our radius to LA for the day. We both ordered the cheese burger. The appearance looked good, but was deceiving. The bun was thicker than the meat, as the picture I uploaded shows. * The meat was pretty dry and there wasn’t any seasoning or taste to the meat. The taste relied strongly on the toppings to carry the burger. I now see why it typically comes with blue cheese on it :) * The arugula, although fresh, was not a good choice for a burger as arugula is a very overwhelming green and overpowers most anything it’s accompanied with. * The onions were grilled, but probably a while ago as there was no carmelization to them at all. *The french fries tasted fresh, weren’t greasy, and the ketchup is definitely made fresh as it was really grainy and sweet. It wasn’t my fav, but I think it was fresh. They validate parking! The beer flight was a good value and my husband really liked the beers. The portion sizes were good too. We’d probably give this place another try next time we see a show in LA, but this time we’ll skip the burger :) And hopefully the AC is fixed by then too!

Came here before a show at the Hollywood Bowl. There was no wait and we were seated right away. Server arrived shortly after and took our drink order. Drinks: My dinner companion ordered a Manhattan. Having never tried one, I waited until his arrived before placing a drink order so that I can taste the Manhattan. After waiting what seemed to be about 15 – 20 minutes, the bartender delivered the drink. I tasted it, didn’t like it and was going to order something else. During the 15 – 20 minute wait for the drink, the server has taken our food order. He hadn’t reappeared after the drink was delivered and was still missing when our food arrived. I had to go to the bar to order and pay for a drink(Jameson & Ginger-ale) so that I wasn’t stuck with just water during my meal. Drinks were moderately priced for the area. $ 16 for the Manhattan, $ 11 for the Jameson. Food: Food arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the Baked Potato Pizza(something«safe» for a night of drinking). Companion ordered the Diablo Burger. He ordered it Medium Well, when it came out, it was Medium Rare. Not sure if it was a kitchen error or server order error. Since the server never came back after taking our order, companion decided to eat the burger anyways. He said it tasted fine, but not great. I thought the pizza was good(companion had some too and agreed). But, you throw bacon on anything and I’ll eat it. Food was overpriced for the quality/quantity. Nothing special about it. Service: Pretty bad. Dining room wasn’t busy enough for how slow the service was. We waited a long time for that first drink. Then our server disappeared. The table next to us were planning their«dine and dash» because they hadn’t received the check, then went to the bartender to get it and pay it. They ended up leaving before the server even came back from where he disappeared to. We asked for the check upon his return being done with our meals. Then he wanted to charge me for the drink I paid for at the bar. Décor & atmosphere was good, bathrooms were clean. Bottom Line: Overpriced and service was slow. Next time going to CPK.

This place is great. A gastropod that’s surprisingly cool while being in the«times square» of LA. The bartender was very friendly and the drinks were a great size. I stuck to beer and so I can’t comment on the pour of the hard liquor but the beer selection was great. I ordered a brick oven pizza – forgetting for a moment that I’m from NYC and have high standards of that – and it was amazing. I ate every last bite. They didn’t have garlic powder though which I found strange but I had to remind myself: This is LA. Things are different here. Overall if I get a job in the area I would def make it a lunch spot. It’s nice and airy and the people watching can be great.

Best truffle fries ever. Period. Yummy tacos, bacon pizza, mussels and fries, and boho burger. Shepherds pie was meh. But I don’t know what I was thinking when I ordered that one anyway. Service is pretty good here too. We were told the mussels and fries came with their regular truffle fries and when it didn’t, the server came back with my truffle fries anyway. Yay! I was one happy girl. A little pricey, but not the worst in Hollywood.

Over priced and small portions but would do you expect at this location? Great place if you gotta grab a quick bite before the show starts at the Kodak. Try the their Crisp Chicken, tasty — you won’t regret it. Next time? I’ll try to eat before heading over to the Kodak.

Late lunch with the BF. @ the Hollywood/Highland Center(I hate this place) because I bought BoHo’s Living Social Deal $ 25 for $ 50. We had: — BLUEBERRYBLUES $ 12 — reyka vodka, orange liquer, blueberries, lemon & lime, simple syrup… it was pretty strong. but that’s about it. — ELDIABLOBURGER w/TRUFFLE FRIES $ 14 + $ 3 — habanero, pepper jack, grilled onions… Don’t know why they asked us how we want our patty cooked when they’re going to cook it well done anyway. the habanero did give it a good kick but other than that it was very bland *Truffle fries were ok for my bf. but it was drenched in oil and tasted very blah to me: P — BIANCAVERDEPIZZA $ 14 — arugula, ricotta, garlic… now. not ALL pizzas with arugula taste good. *cries a little* We had one slice each and didn’t touch it. (I did eat all the arugulas off of it though! :P) — DIETCOKE $ 3 Total: $ 47ish $ 4ish after using the Living Social deal. Service: bleh. server never checked up on us. until the end of our meal, not cool: T kitchen«forgot» to give us sauces for fries and our server was no where to be found (he was watching a game LOL). AND… THEREWEREFRUITFLIESEVERYWHERE! one actually decided to suicide in my water cup –_– Parking: $ 6 for parking?! OMG I REALLY hate this mall –_– Later I found out we can get it validated to pay $ 2. Thanks a lot BoHo’s server… now that’s service. *Their brunch/lunch menu is very limited. like. we didn’t know what to order not because there was too much to choose from. but because the menu was tiny :[ not good. **Décor is alright. just wished they’d clean it more. there were dust everywhere and c’mon. fruit flies? –_– ***They offer Sunday brunch bottomless mimosa, screwdriver, etc. for $ 12… but… there’s a reason why they are so empty! Even WITH the deal, it was not worth it. Me: Blah~~ BF: Boo Hoo~~ :P

Pretty good quality craft beer selection on draft. Food was just OK. The pizza was not all that flavorful. The truffle fries were alright, what we had was nothing spectacular. The prices were decent for happy hour(Til 7 pm). It is in a touristy spot at Hollywood/Highland, but it’s a good place to hit up if you’re on the way to the Hollywood Bowl, etc. Easy walk to the bowl and better than buying overpriced drinks and food once inside the bowl!

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, You better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, You better run, better run, faster than my bullet at… BoHo! — Foster the People(pumped up kicks) I searched Unilocal for the highest average rated review at hollywood and highland and i found this place… now i’m wondering what happened! If you follow my reviews, you know I love it when the menu is smaller and less to choose from… however that was not the case at this place. The menu needs to be bigger here!!! If you are going with a group of people who like to share their food, you are sort of cornered into ordering specific items because the selection is so small. We had a truffle pizza, a diablo burger, and a caesar salad… and i gotta say, the caesar salad came out on top! The pizza was a little greasy and the burger was w/e. For a place i thought i would have to make reservations for, this was a wake-up call for me. Gotta step up my Unilocal finding game! Food: 2.5 stars — Service: 4 stars — Atmosphere: 3 stars — Price(value): 2 stars

We were crestfallen when we discovered our mistake that the brunch and bottomless mimosas was only offered on Sundays… as we stood there looking like a group of orphans on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We decided to swallow the bitter pill and sat down. To be honest there wasn’t anything on the menu that jumped out at us. Reluctantly we ordered a few pizzas and it actually improved from there. The pizzas were actually tasty — hand stretched to a nice thin, but not paper thin crust. Just the right amount of toppings. The fries were indeed very tasty. The chicken salad was just alright. We did not try the hamburgers, but we saw several coming out and we admitted they looked appetizing. While I wouldn’t want to come back and make this a first stop, if I happened to be in the neighborhood and looking for a nice place for a drink and a burger BoHo would be it. I think the ambiance also lends itself better to post sundown festivities. It is convenient given it is on the 4th floor of the Hollywood & Highland center up and away from the maddening crowd of tourists looking to catch a celebrity sighting.

This place is making my burger list! Not only is the vibe great(big leather armchairs!), but the food was super tasty and(more importantly) unique! My friend and I split a Living Social deal here tonight for a mid-week night out. We ordered: Tuna Tartare($ 12) — tangy and delicious marinated raw tuna on crispy thin fried flour tortillas. Flight of beers($ 12): I tried the Cherry Lambic and a beer from the stout/specialty section. Both were less impressive than a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat or Chocolate Oatmeal stout… maybe a Belgian ale would have been a better call. Boho burger for my friend($ 12). El Diablo Burger for me($ 14): SOGOOD. I love spicy food, and this burger(which I ordered medium rare) was the most spicy burger I’ve ever had. Granted, most burgers don’t come packing heat(Though the Mohawk Burger had a nice kick to it). El Diablo came with some amazing habanero sauce and ooey gooey melted cheese. Despite being veggie-less and ketchup-less, I really loved this burger! However, if you’re sensitive to spicy things, I wouldn’t recommend it… But you have to admit… it’s pretty unique, right??? We left happy, stuffed, and relieved that this groupon deal wasn’t a bust!

Popped in here on my rainy 30th birthday, soaked to the bone and starving for brunch. They had plenty of seating available so we were seated right away. Score! After that it was a sloooooow go. I kicked things off with a bottomless mimosa. It WAS my birthday, after all! Which was tasty and got me appropriately buzzed. I also ordered the biscuits and gravy while my fella ordered the eggs benny. Our waitress was nice but MIA at various points through the meal. It was busy-ish but not SO busy-ish that it should have taken as long as it did to get our food. And when you’re cold, wet, and hungry it just feels unbearable. I looked at our table neighbor’s burger with longing and I was half ready to leap over there and take a bite straight from his hands. It looked pretty incredible! Finally our food arrived and it was excellent. I really loved my biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were moist inside and had a nice crust on the outside. They were topped with poached eggs and a rich, creamy gravy. I could have taken some more sausage in that gravy but it was still fabulous. The breakfast potatoes were also a nice side. I didn’t try the eggs benedict because I was so enamored with my meal(and I had just had EB the day before) but it also looked great. My fella said it was pretty good. Not the best EB he’s ever had but it did the trick. Also the portions are HUGE and a great value for the price. I could have easily split my meal and still been full but as it was I ate it nearly up up up. Why? Because it was my birthday and I could! It took a while for our waitress to return so we had the credit card on the ready and managed to head out of there nice and full(but not so full that I didn’t go directly to Beard Papa’s in the mall for a celebratory cream puff!). If it hadn’t been for the stretches of long waits this would have been a 4 star meal. But I’d definitely return should I be in the area again.

We missed out on happy hr… but we stayed anyways. We were starving and thirsty! We ordered a pizza, fish tacos and fish and chips. The pesto chicken pizza was ok. the sauce was a bit too much… made the pizza very soggy and messy. I didnt get to taste any of the fish on the fish and chips. But the fries were cold. =(Maybe it was sitting there for a while. The fish taco was delicious!!! The salsa on the tacos were very very yummy. Now. i am craving fish tacos with their salsa. =)

This was my first stop for brunch 2012 and I have to say I was pretty happy when I left! The service was great, food was delicious, the ambiance was relaxing; yet, chic, and nothing outrageously expensive. If you’re a big lemonade fan, ha ha, their lemonade was pretty delicious. I had the avocado omelet, which came with a side of chunky potatoes and get this, their own restaurant made ketchup. I also ordered a side of fresh fruit, which I must say I was a little disappointed in… not y the quantity but the quality. The melon the cam with the order was a little unripe(which is the only negative thing I have to say about this restaurant, ha ha). I believe it’s located on the third floor of the Hollywood and Highland center. I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family if they would be hanging out around Hollywood Blvd. Not sure how the ambiance is at night since, I was there for brunch. However, they do have flat screen t.v.s around the restaurant, play a variety of music and also an outdoor patio seating area. I’m sure it would be a great hangout spot for a game night or just to get together with friends.

The gf & I stopped by just for the bar. I went with the Flight of beers for I think $ 11. Two of the 4 that I picked were unavailable, so I went with what was recommended. Check the pic I posted. From left to right. 1) Lagunitas Pils — The bartender recommended this one. A light & smooth Czech style pilsner. Good one to start with. 2) Allagash white — Belgian style wit bier 3) Allagash Cureiux — Barrel aged tripel. This was the other one that the bartender suggested, and this one was easily my favorite. I loved it. One of the beers that I’ll always be on the lookout for. 4) Anchor Our Christmas — Seasonal ale from San Francisco. Very dark in color, but almost a sweet malt finish. The first thing I noticed was the large sampler cups. they were about 5 ounces each! Good buzz after I was done. The other thing I was impressed with was that I enjoyed all 4 of the picks. My gf ordered the apple cocktail, which she said was strong but good. When she accidentally knocked over her cup, the bartender made her a new one right away. So yeah, our bartender was pretty awesome. The décor/setting was very old town-ish, but with some flat screens hovering above the bar. I’d gladly stop by this place whenever I’m in the area again. Cliff Notes: $ 11 for four 5oz beer flights! Allagash Cureiux.

A typical stereotype is that bars located in mall will have a mediocre experience. I say that stereotype doesn’t apply here. Granted I sat at the bar on a random Saturday afternoon and there were like only 4 or 5 other patrons inside, but still, the bartenders were very hospitable. Plus, they had happy hour on a Saturday too from 2−5pm, they offer $ 5 taps, house wines and wells. And they also have a special happy hour menu. It also applies Monday through Friday from 4−7pm. In addition to their hospitable service, they have 24 beers on tap! Now this can be my regular future visits every time I go down to the Hollywood area. Only got two beers this evening: Duvel Green and the Crispin Cider. The cider was nice and crisp and the Duvel Green was very refreshing. And their happy hour menu is very affordable. Got me a $ 7 chicken, mushroom and pesto pizza. I have to admit, the pizza was one of the better ones I’ve had too so it was a win win on this particular afternoon. In my opinion, if you want to enjoy a nice cold brew, you’ll find several on Hollywood blvd while you are doing your sight seeing, but this place will not disappoint!

We were there for Brunch. Endless Bloody Mary’s, Mimosa’s and Screwdrivers for 12 bucks = DISASTER ;) My hubby picked Bloody Mary’s and stuck with it. Yeah, I would either do mimosas and screwdrivers OR Bloody Mary’s. not sure about all 3. He drank about 4 glasses so not a bad deal! Not being a drinker, I stuck with the Crispin Apple Cider which was AWESOME. Our food was OK. Nothing wow. My chicken salad was soggy and the chicken wasn’t seasoned enough. The décor is cool. I love the style. Brown leather masterpiece theater style chairs with round wooden tables that was sliced right out of a tree then coated. Not sure if they were real but looked it! Dead animal heads on the walls just make me want to eat a burger, but I didn’t. Service was tentative. They didn’t avoid us and got our refills on the drink quick. Overall, not bad. Oh, the little chocolate chip mini muffins were cute too in the beginning.

The place was sparse with clientele, which was nice because we got seated pronto. The space is like half pub half grandma’s living room sans the musty smell, heart and soul. We got a bottle of the Inkberry shiraz($ 38), which the waitress recommended. Really, not wowed. Bah, I’m sick of overpriced wine at restaurants. It’s criminal. We split the farro salad($ 8), which was slightly better than boring, but I’m spoiled from Barbrix’s farro salad. Boho’s farro was slightly undercooked and needed more herbs and tang. The bianco-verde pizza($ 14) was scrumptious and pretty with the pile of arugula on top(hence the verde). The bianco part was pleasant with white fontina cheese, a little ricotta and a good amount of lemon zest. The waiter kept walking by with the same type of amazing smelling pizza that had our table enamored like Pepe Le Pew. It was the fennel bacon pizza($ 14) and we ordered it. Delish! The bacon flavoring was infused into the cheese and the chunks of fennel, oh what a lovely aroma! Ok so the pizzas were yummaliscious, BUT, slightly over priced. Oh wait, I’m dead smack in the bowels of Hollywood. Never mind. The salmon($ 20) was basically a rip off. Don’t bother with your Omega intake here. Desserts? The coconut pudding(see pic) was sensational. It was sandwiched between a crispy coconut brittle praline with a tropical fruit offering around the outside of the coconut mother ship. The brown butter blueberry tart(pic) sounded highly scrumptious, but in the end it was a little scarce in blueberries, size and uh, hello Paula Dean, butter! I’m posting up a solid 3.5 and will return for the Oyster Po Boy Sliders. PS. Sorry my pics blow!
