Beard Papa’s Cream Puffs

Stopped by today, 8÷1÷15 and it looks like it was closed permanently. Checked with shopping center management and they said it was closed too.

A small quite shop with outside seating only.
I was recommended by a friend for their cream puffs. I got a box of mixed flavored cream puffs for our group and everyone loved it. They offer a simple menu and decently priced
The cream puffs were excellent and I would love to come here again. They are pretty big and the filling is not too sweet.
They eat pretty messy to eat but really good.

So damn good I would cut off a finger for one. Okay, maybe two. The Dulce de Leche with vanilla cream and caramel inside is like crack. No… meth…totally addictive. The place is quite a bit run down (especially considering the caliber of the surrounding shops) but I would step over a dead person lying in a pile of vomit and shit to get one of their cream puffs. Gah… drool…

Cozy store with fresh crème puffs. I liked that the crème puff was not too sweet. The bread was crispy. Eating can be messy as the cream overflows upon biting. There were no lines so it was a nice quick snack in Hollywood and a nice sit down break in front of the store. They also validate parking.

So yummy! They only had two flavors (original & chocolate) at the time. No biggie. I’m happy I tried the two normally asked for flavors. I’m happy to say that I’ll come back for the others soon! Their mango drink is delicious and refreshing after walking the walk of fame all day. I love the location and I think they’re just adorable. I’d definitely recommend trying!

Hands down best cream puff in my life! It does take some time if you order 20s or those boxes but i like the idea of putting fresh cream inside the pastries right away as people order! The amount of creams and the flavor just makes Its definetly worth waiting! There was only one guy working when we went in and my friend and I both got the boxes so i felt pretty bad for him doing all the work (very friendly). Saying that maybe we just went in while they were short with staffs?

thai boba tea and original cream puffs are killer. They got free wifi and nice view of hollywood boulevard

Sketchy place but great cream puffs!
The shell was soft but crispy and the creamy was thick but not overpowering.
Great combination!
They always serve vanilla flavour and some special flavour everyday.
Went there two days in a roll, it was good!

No. This is no Good to me. Bad service and the employees are too busy not doing nothing in a area smaller than my restroom.

Yummy in my tummy, freshly made. Mochi was to die for, seriously love Mochi. I tried the original puff with a green tea filling. It was good. Now I am excited to try all the flavors they have to offer. I really enjoy the customer service. They were helpful and super upbeat. I arrived when nobody was there, but after I sat down, it started getting full really quick

Beard papa is such a great cause I don’t get to have it often. I typically don’t eat cream puffs because I’m not a fan of some fillings, but this one… I like (: it’s creamy but not very thick, almost like a less dense pudding. The cream puffs aren’t that flakey, so you have less mess. Btw, you can asked for mixed filling! I got a cream puff with green tea and vanilla filling. Yum!

My girlfriends and I puffed in (ha!) near closing; they were out of the minis and had a limited selection of the other flavors. They only had 2 of the original custard (there were 3 of us), so we got 2; however, the guy gave us a complimentary small one!

Omg the cookie cream puff is soo good! Love the filling not to sweet! The reg cream puff is amazing since the puff has a little crisp to it. Price are decent and store is small. Had to knock off one star for them not having the mini cream puffs and customer service.

the cream puffs here all right. overall instore experience was standard.
but im giving this place five stars because i literally dropped my cream puff right outside the store about two minutes after ordering and the guy working gave me a new one without charging! what great customer service. thanks guy!

Wow. Just wow. That original with vanilla filling is just… WOW. I love cream puffs, but this one has just taken it to the next level!!!

Small place but perfect for the products they sell, friendly staff, good music, right in the heart of the Hollywood Boulevard.
I really suggest everyone to get one!

I LOVE CREAM PUFFS! It was a sad day when I realized that the only Beard Papas in San Diego closed.
There was one girl there all by herself and she was very sweet. The cream puffs, as expected, were BOMB!!! I got the Regular Cream Puff, a Cream Puff with Green Tea filling, and a Mango Mochi Ice Cream.
It was all outdoor seating and luckily grabbed a spot in the shade since the sun was at it’s peak. Cream Puffs are not the sexiest food to eat, so I would recommend for dainty eaters to grab extra napkins.
Overall, great service and AMAZING CREAM PUFFS. Also, this place validates parking as well.

Welcome to Hollywood! What’s your dream?
My dream would be to be able to go to Hollywood and find easy and free parking. Especially if you want to grab some cream puffs from Beard Papa’s. The evening I stopped by, I happened to be on the motorcycle otherwise, I would have been driving the streets and garages hoping and praying for a space.
The shop is tiny but they do offer some outdoor seating. I really don’t remember if there was any indoors. But sitting outdoors offers the chance to watch the Hollywood crowd walking by, either coming to or from the mall.
Different flavors to choose from and Boba drinks too. My drink was fine and the cream puff was okay. Didn’t love either enough to make me a fan of the place. Would have them again if I were already there, but definitely wouldn’t make the trip just for this place.

I am always love Beard Papa’s cream puff because the filling and was excited when i went down to Hollywood and found this, so first came in and none in the front except this asian girl and she didn’t said anything and of course with her shitty face like she hates her job.
So i take a look around and told her my order and she just keep silent and filled the puffs and still with the same face. and finally she open her mouth to asked me something anything else (but still with a sound that you ever won’t like to hear)
I paid and finished and she didn’t said anything like thank you or whatsoever so i didn’t say anything just went out and i ate the puff and oh my… i regret to bought 6 of them because the filling is plain, not thick at all and the puff is not soft, i think the puff is old and just keep it warm
I don’t know why this store hire some of asian with no manner, just because it’s originally from Japan? But better hire a cheerful asian girls with manner who is not hate their job and throw away shitty to the customers

It’s hard for me to resist Beard Papa if I’m anywhere near the Hollywood Highland center. I love me some cream puffs! I’m a sucker for the original: it’s chock full of delicious creamy goodness and the exterior is slightly crunchy, but it’s mostly just a vehicle for eating the cream.
The cream puffs are kind of pricey though (this is no surprise given the location). And while the service is speedy the employees aren’t particularly friendly, but they’re not rude either.
If you’re in the area and looking for something sweet I recommend checking out Beard Papa!

Das Beard Papa ist ein Coffee Shop am Eingang der Hollywood & Highland Mall, nur ein paar Schritte vom berühmten Walk of Fame entfernt. Beard Papa ist eine Kette, die ihren Ursprung in Japan hat. Mir war sie bis dato nicht bekannt.
Neben verschiedenen Kaffeespezialitäten bietet Beard Papa verschieden gefüllte Windbeutel an, die wir allerdingsnicht probiert haben. Sie riechen aber auf jeden Fall gut.
Was mich ins Beard Papa gezogen hat, war der auf einem Schild ausgelobte Boba Milk Tea. Als Bubble-​Tea-​Fan musste ich diesen natürlich ausprobieren. Ich enstchied mich als Sorte für Green Tea. Bei den Bobas handelte es sich in diesem Fall um klassische Tapioka-​Kugeln. Weitere Perlen zur Auswahl gab es nicht, was aber nicht schlimm war. Der Tee schmeckte gut und man konnte beim Bestellen wählen, wie süß der Tee sein sollte. Der Ehemann entschied sich für einen Iced Café Latte, der ebenfalls sehr gut schmeckte und nicht zu süß war.

Unsere Getränke schlürften wir an einem der Tische vor dem Coffee Shop und beobachteten das bunte Treiben auf dem Zugang zur Mall. Im Coffe Shop selbst gibt es keine Sitzgelegheiten. Das kalifornische Wetter genießt man aber auch am besten im Freien. :-)
