First of all UnilocalME! Jack in the Box in Hollister sucks ball sack. We go there at 4am and they’re suppose to be 24⁄7 and the man/girl bear pig tells us they turned off the soda machine. Not only did the soda machine«stopped working» but their fries tasted like cold stale white dog sh**. We ordered a buttery swiss and bacon burger and didn’t even add the bacon… I had lettuce and tomatoes on a bacon burger I think we all know that ain’t right and they gave us ranch sauce in a baggy. Ya only use baggies for 2 things: dog sh**(like the fries) and cheese itz/gold fish.

Having been to Hollister only once in the past, I didn’t know what was good. Jack in the Box is generally acceptable. Perhaps, it’s a bit better than McDonald’s. I remembered this one. Close to Save Mart, it’s easy enough to find, and because it’s in a shopping center, there is extra parking. Inside, it’s no better or worse than any other. Service was friendly and they seemed to be working to get things done. While I was ordering, a woman asked about her order, apparently due some time ago. They said that it didn’t show up on the monitor’s list, so they didn’t fill it. Yes, this wasn’t my order, but what happens when it is? It wasn’t long after that when I got my order, but I still wondered how many orders fall through the cracks in the Jack. The Nacho Taco had plenty of cheese and the fries were good. The napkins were available at the counter, but not restricted to staff – and they were in the dispenser in the correct direction even.

I’m not really a big fan of Jack in the Box fast food. But this seems to be the spot where everybody goes in town doesn’t matter how late it is to drive through is always packed especially that late at night

We visited this Jack in the Box tonight and we went inside to order. The floor was sticky, as were the tables. I ordered a sirloin cheeseburger and my husband ordered a sourdough cheeseburger, curly fries and a drink. We brought our food home(home is about 5 min from the restaurant) to eat. My cheeseburger was basically inedible. The bun was hard on the outside, with burn marks on the top of the bun; the inside of the bun was slightly burned as well. The bun was hard to the point where it made a dull thudding sound when I tapped on it. Inside, the patty was dried out, overcooked(and I LIKE my burgers well-done, but this was just overcooked), and it was over-peppered. It was supposed to have cheese, but the cheese was basically missing except for some small pieces that appeared to have been the corners of a cheese slice that had been removed. My husband also did not like his sourdough cheeseburger. He didn’t say much, but he did say that it didn’t taste good and the patty was overcooked. The fry container was under-filled and the fries were cold and old. Even the diet Dr. Pepper that we got out of the soda machine tasted funny. We waited about 10 – 12 minutes for our order to be filled. I’m not sure what we were waiting for, but it certainly wasn’t so that they could cook us fresh food. I watched them put the fries in the container right after we ordered and then sit the container down in a location that wasn’t even under a heat lamp. Both of our burgers were definitely NOT freshly cooked. I estimate that mine had to be at LEAST a couple of hours old. I have never seen any burger come out of any fast food restaurant looking so old. This was, without a doubt, the worst food that I have ever received from any fast food restaurant. I ate a few bites of my burger, but just was unable to force myself to eat any more of it, even though I was really hungry because it was after 10pm and I hadn’t had dinner yet. Those few bites… I’m currently regretting them. It’s 2:30 in the morning and I’m awake and feeling sick to my stomach. I am hoping that it was just the overcooked, over-peppered, nastiness of the burger that has caused me to be feeling sick. I’m worried, though, that I could have food poisoning.

My favorite fast food restraint in town! Always hit & fresh and they have a good variety on their menu. They also have good service, I’ve never had a bad experience. I choose this place over mcdonalds or tacobell whenever I need a junk food fix!

It’s typical fast food. I don’t recommend the onion rings here. I took one bite and threw them away. Yuck, yuck, yuck! I do recommend everything else. Ha! Ya want good old greasy fast food burger then come here.

Jack in the Box is Hollister’s late night spot since nothing in town is open past 10. It’s a great place to people watch. There’s tons of drunk and high people stumbling around trying to get a taco or breakfast jack. The later it gets, the sketchier it can become, though. Also, the drive through service is really slow but staff is always friendly. If you happen to be inebrieted, get the mini churros and/or the mini cookies. SOGOOD.

I’e been to this location numerous times since its opening. Unlike some of the others who have reviewed, I’ve had few problems with the service. I don’t recall ever having to wait 30 minutes as one reviewer said. I like eating here and will be here whenever possible. Love coming here sometimes just for the milkshakes.

Jack In the Box is a fast food restaurant that has a place in my heart. I have no idea why it has not made it out east, but a visit, or two, or three, or more, is always part of the plan when I come to California. I always make sure to get my staples. A Sourdough Jack, which is one awesome fast food burger. A pair of the 2 for 99 cents tacos, which have been that price for well over ten years. And by the way, that’s not meat in the tacos, but I do not care. It’s greasy, but it’s so good. And, I get an order of the curly fries, a type of fry which I wonder why is not available at many more places. In addition to my regulars, I often indulge in their churro 5 pack, which is real tasty. I sometimes get a shake, which is delish. And, on this recent trip, I tried their new waffle egg sandwich, a clear case of them trying to compete with McDonald’s pancake egg sandwich. Well, this one goes to McDonald’s, but it was decent in its own right. But Jack in the Box had a leg up with their hashbrowns, which had all of th taste, but none of the grease, that you get from McD’s. Not sure about the experience others had, but I have been to this location about a dozen times and never had any problems with their service.

This was by far the worst Jack in the Box I’ve ever experienced. I happened to be in the area and driving home late one night. I began to get hungry and started my hunt for food. I came across this Jack in the Box and ordered the 3-piece egg rolls and a Jumbo Jack with Cheese. All was fine until during my drive home I noticed I began to feel really hot. I had to roll down the windows and turn on the air. After a couple of minutes I finally had to pull the car over to throw up, and afterwards I began to feel better. Five minutes before getting to my house I again had to pull over, again throwing up the entire Jack in the Box goodness. I knew I should have instead gone to Fosters Freeze I drove by. Summary: What goes in must come out. Unilocalers beware, stay away from this JIB location.

Having teens means going to fast food at all hours of the day. This seems to be a teen favorite for the following reasons: — Drive thru is open 24-hours. I always wonder about the sanity of having any restaurant open for this long.(when do they have time to clean? parent paranoia leaking through here) — Really good milkshakes(better than Foster Freeze) — Huge selection of food items(hamburgers, tacos, pitas and more) — They serve breakfast all day long. Not sure why but my kids love this. — You can get all the sauce packets you want for free(not like Foster Freeze where they charge you extra for each extra sauce) — Value Menu — 2 tacos for a buck. Can’t beat that. Plus you haven’t lived until you have owned and displayed your very own Jack-in-the-Box antenna ball. Do you have the one with the Christmas hat to boot? Mine keeps getting ripped off!

Well this is just like any other Jack in the Box but theres a few highlights. Large orders usually do not get screwed up in the drive thru here and thats priceless. If you want extra ranch, bbq, taco sauce or whatever else that is also not an issue here and they’ll fill an extra bag with sauce if you want so thats nice. But it’s Jack in the Box so we know the food is the same garbage we have come to expect, just occasionally in a different wrapper. For dollar menu stuff you can throw up later I recommend the jumbo jack, chicken sandwich, 2 tacos, or breakfast jack.
