Random stop going through Hwy 152. The place was very clean, food was really good and service was fast! Chips and salsa were hot and fresh. Nothing beats fresh ingredients! Would definitely come again!

We now have been back several times this month alone and the food is awesome! Once again cold beers, great salsa, very good mariscos and friendly workers. THANKS AGAIN!

Huge portion for the price. Good ingredients. Ordered a chile verde super burrito and it was huge. It fell apart but I was able to eat half of it before it did and they served a fork with it and chips. Very good, will be back.

On my way home from work I always see this little place and since I’m fairly new to Hollister, thought I’d try it out. It was busy tonight when I walked in. I was patient to be seated since I didn’t know if I needed to wait to be seated or just find a table. The ‘server’ pointed me to a dirty table to sit, so I did. I was there at least 5 minutes (with no service, no clean table, no chips, no menu) and 4 people walked in, sat down and the server immediately brought them chips and menus. I waited another 5 minutes, got up and got my own menu and was still not served chips, or the table cleaned. This place will definitely not be getting my business. I got up and walked out.

First time here. I really liked the carnitas and the flour tortillas seemed fresh.
My hubby had Huevos Rancheros and it was a tasty breakfast.

The very first thing I seen before I walked into the restaurant is that idea as well IBS is a game I thought it was irritable bowel syndrome. Well I did not get IBS when I got home to give the food was great but the fact that there is a game called IBS it really amuses me and is outside the front door that is so funny

Came in Friday for a Carnitas Burrito to-​go and hung out at the counter so I got to watch them make it. I was upset to see them take the meat out of a container and put it in the microwave to heat it up. And it was predictably tough and inedible. I threw half away.
I have had really good Carnitas at many Taquarias around the Bay Area (Michocan in Gilroy is a great one). The owners here should, and could, do a lot better. I was really disappointed.

El Michoacano is a hidden gem for good and quick food. They have the typical Mexican food options but also offer unique dishes that are really the things worth trying. This last time I went, I had the fish and shrimp stew and chavela, my boyfriend had the flautas. The stew was decent but when I added the optional spices that came with it, it was out of this world and hit the spot on a chilly night. The chavela was huge and super yummy and isn’t the typical recipe– it includes wine and other spices. My boyfriend loved the flautas. This is our new go-​to spot for a delicious meal with pretty healthy options if you can omit the tortillas (low carb, protein, etc.) :-)

For authentic Mexican seafood dishes this is the best Mexican restaurant to go to Hollister. Seafood is their specialty and their portions are generous.
The rice and beans are full of flavor. The chili verde is quite tasty and a bit spicy.
Lunch specials are $ 8.99 and include rice, beans, salad and guacamole.
There are also three flat screen TV’s that broadcast in Spanish and are often tuned to soccer.
