Not very impressed. I went here with my friend; it was so bizarre. The woman dropped us off our check before our food came out. I put my card in right away, but she never came and picked it up. Even when she came over with our ice creams, she just never picked it up. Luckily we had cash on us and I just paid with cash and left. I wouldn’t go back there on my own ever.

No matter how many renovations you make on this restaurant it will not change the poor and slow service. It should not take 20 minutes for three ice creams to be made at the ice cream window, especially when there are plenty of employees working. Friendly’s is always busy on Friday nights and it takes forever to get ice cream and most of the time the scoops are small. You’re better off going to Dairy Queen or buying your own ice cream at the grocery store.

Fucking friendly’s! More like fucking bitches!!! First of all where da ketchup at bitch!!! If I want my tenders to bath in a bath of fucking ketchup then they will! Also I could see in the kitchen and I saw dem bitches manhandling the ice and throwin it in a fucking glass! What up with that, u ain’t aloud to touch my ice only I aloud to lay hands on my ice so keep ur greasy, fat, ice cream covered hands off of them! Lastly, our bill was way to fuckin high, 71 dollars for 4 plates of god damn motherfucking chicken!!! NOT EVEN OBAMA CAN AFFORD THOSE HIGH ASS PRICES! Thanks friendlys, we know ur fucking bankrupt but don’t bankrupt me of all my money friendlys I ain’t Oprah fucking Winfrey!!! Friendlys u lost a customer today!!! Love, an angry black bitch

Thee food is burnt pieces of shit And they won’t let me order off the kids menu. I can’t afford them bitches prices. Fuck them. I want to no I demand to be able to choose how much ketchup I want. Put the bottle on them tables bitches. They realy should not let the customers c into the kitchenAlso yeat me sometimes. Lunch for 4 should not be 50 dollars i mean chicken 10 and sliders 8 dollars fuck that. I am going to Dairy Queen from now on cheaper faster and closer.

I ate at friendlys in holden and was surprised at how nice everyone was the food was good even though the menu has shrunk. The waitstaff was super nice and there seemed to be a lot of them. Ihad at least 3 of them come to my table the ice cream was great and a girl in a red coat delivered it. Great experience

There literally isn’t a worse restaurant in Worcester County than the Friendly’s in Holden. We’ve given this place multiple chances, primarily because our 7 year old thinks it’s the greatest restaurant in the history of dining.
The food is mediocre, and some days downright bad. The restaurant is too small, and you are literally sitting right on top of the other patrons. But the worst part is the service. It’s consistently horrible. We’ve never had good service at this place. It is always slow and inattentive. The customer feels like an afterthought to a staff who always appear thoroughly miserable.
I’m convinced this place would have closed years ago if it weren’t for the severe lack of restaurants in Holden. Save yourself some misery and go anyplace else. Literally anyplace.

Ok everyone holds a piece of friendly in their heart from this area. Sad to see so many close but to me perhaps what I experienced today is part of the problem. Seemed under staffed looked there was two managers on but they were in the back. One waitress trying to seat people deal with maybe 8 or 9 tables and answer the phone. Couldn’t get the things we asked for after getting our foods couldn’t even get the proper silverware. Food was cooked perfect and was always as good as exspected. I don’t blame the waitress. I blame her being stuck by herself all and all probably won’t waste my time or money going back

I went here on Tuesday, during School vacation, with my son. The restaurant had recently been reopened, after a car had crashed through the wall.
I was surprised to be greeted warmly by 2 or 3 employees. and told promptly it would be about 5 minutes. (They were very busy for 1 pm). It was about 5 minutes until we were seated, and the hostess, explained the new menu to us, as well as some of the new items. We actually felt like they WANTED us there! It was great! The menu has all the standards, Big Beef and such, as well as Turkey tips and Salmon. We both had the 11.99 special burger, soda and sundae. They were cooked perfectly I have never had such a nice experience there! good value too!

One of the few survivors of the recent wave of closures. Service is uniformly sloooooooooow (albeit friendly) and food quality is at best so-​so. If it wasn’t for certain younger diners begging to go to Friendly’s (probably due to items on the menu like «macaroni and cheese quesadillas» and «cotton candy flavored punch»). Is there a more meh place to eat?

I have nothing against the food at Friendly’s nor the ice cream for that matter. I do have a huge problem with the atmosphere. Packed with loud, obnoxious teens who are without guardians makes for an unpleasant experience. I have been to this Friendly’s many times, and each time the same deal. It feels like a middle school cafeteria. Not impressed. Twelve kids packed into little booths, talking dirty, throwing ice cream, and being rude to the wait staff is not my idea of a nice meal out. Besides the atmosphere, the prices have really become silly. Chicken fingers and french fries should not be $ 10. Wont be spending our money, or time at this location. I would not reccomend it to you, especially if you have small children.

Stopped by for a late lunch/​early dinner today and went with a burger. Service was a tad slow but not too bad. Restauant was well lit and clean enough. Food was good for a chain. Lots of bacon on the burger, patty was cooked fine and tasted fine as well. Place seemed busy enough.
