America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I have worn glasses and contacts for just about my entire life. It gets pricey keeping up with eye exams, ordering contacts, and changing prescriptions. America’s Best has the best promotions and deals to make maintaining my vision affordable. Joining their Eyecare Club allows me to get glasses and contact eye exams for three years, and save every time I order contacts. Plus they price match contact prices so I’m able to get the absolute best price every time I come in.
I have the option to get super cheap glasses (You get what you pay for, but I’m hardly a glasses wearer so I don’t mind a cheap plastic pair), but I also have the option for a nice, designer pair of frames as well (For when my prescription stops changing every year!!).
The Hodgkins location has a nice and helpful staff, and I will probably continue to come here as long as nothing drastically changes. Never had a bad experience.

Exceptional staff super fast services, designer frames for a price you can afford.

First off let me start by saying that the front desk girls and Penny are really friendly and great. Thats the one star I’m giving this place. Now for my awkward and very unpleasant experience with the eye doctor (Alex Gordon is who I’m assuming I was with because that’s the name on the door we were in, although he didn’t introduce himself so who knows)… .anyway the doc walks past me and says «Michelle come with me» and as I walk into the room he’s shaking his head. I sit down as he proceeds to sigh and toss things around like he’s pissed off. During this awkard encounter he does not introduce himself, shake my hand or even look at me once. NOT ONCE did he look at me. As I express my concerns about my eyes he tells me my only other option for my dry eyes is Restasis, but Its a 6 month commitment and very pricey. He dismisses the conversation and not once asks me if I would lile to try Restasis or anything. I’m not sure of he thought that because I was at a cheaper eye place that I couldn’t afford the treatment or what. Thats def not the case. I’m there because I got 3 yrs of eye appts for $ 99. When he was done he said «okay they will finish at the front» and just walks out. Didnt bother to ask if I had any other questions or concerns. Didnt tell me what my script was. Didn’t tell me anything. I expect this behavior from a burnt out 70 yr old eye doctor, not a cocky eye doc in his 30s. I have been to 2 other Americas Best and never had a bad experience. I’ll never go back there. And those poor girls that work there, it must be hell to work for him. Bless their hearts.

Walk in and scheduled an eye exam for 9:15 am, waited until 9:45 am and was told the doctor is stuck in traffic. Ok reschedule for 12:30 pm and came back and was told I was next and they placed me outside the doctors office, I sat there for 20 minutes watching them taking other people that came in after me so I got up and left and swore this off as being AMERICA’S BEST.

I have worn glasses for 30+ years, I am glasses only person, and the glasses I have purchased here have been great! Very reasonably priced, great selection of frames, and very good service.
I came in today to get my sunglasses that I bought here last year heat treated to reshape them. They also were kind enough to replace the discolored plastic nose bridge holder thingees on a pair I did not purchase there. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and they gave me a nice silky lint free glass wipe cloth.
Highly recommend, if you are a four eyes only person, this is your place!

I was skeptical to come here because of the bad reviews. The lenses I need are strong, so I was expecting the worst! I went, and had a great experience. I got 2 pairs of great eyeglasses and an exam for under $ 200. That is a steal! Lenscrafters and other places have always charged me $ 500 for one frame with an eye exam. I had a great experience with the sales associates, Nancy being the main one to make sure I was satisfied. She was professional and caring. My husband is going there soon, and I am recommending other people.

You get what you pay for! Although the staff is very friendly, the quality of the glasses is absolute garbage. Got our son glasses here, and one of the pairs broke in less than three weeks. Because we did not pay extra for a warranty, they were going to charge us to replace them. I should not have to pay more to have a product last more than three weeks. Should be called America’s WORST Eyeglasses.

the staff here is absolutely the only thing that saves this place, they are great! however, the eye doc in my opinion is the absolute worst eye doc I’ve ever seen! I had to go to see her four times to check my eyes and I am still having trouble with my vision.
