This place is decent. It depends what you are looking for. But the food is ok and the bar drinks are decent. They have a fairly small dining area so if you are here when it is busy expect it to be a bit confined. Everything we had here was average. Nothing really good and nothing really bad. I swear I wrote this review last year and it is showing up as a few days ago. But really the worst part about this place is the tiny, shared, hectic parking lot.

Very good wings. And soup. Great family feeling place.

If you’re looking for great food at a decent price in Hockessin then look no further. Yes there are a lot of other places to eat in Hockessin considering how small it is, but the majority of the places around are either to expensive or have gone down hill in terms of food quality and atmosphere. I always judge if a restaurant is good by how many people I see when I walk in… you can go to 2 Fat Guys on a Monday at 2:00 in the afternoon I guarentee there will at least be some people at the bar.

2 fat guys is a terrible place. I went here today the waitress was slow. She didn’t really give us refills. She didn’t leave us a bag for the food we ordered and were taking home. Also 63 dollars for a Steak, Wings, Nachos, Salad and another sandwich. That is insane. Never going back no matter What this food was food. And the service was terrible. This place is becoming bad

The things you served to me and my husband tonight were not food. They were hockey pucks surrounded by stale rolls. My chicken sandwich was so dry that the edges were more like beef jerky than they were sandwich. My husband’s burger was dry and practically destroyed. Usually your food is hot and fresh. Tonight we received yesterday’s «food» that you apparently sprayed with Febreze and passed off as edible. Shame on you for serving this meal to anyone besides Zombie Hitler. You’re lucky I’m tired and hungry. Usually I’m a much better writer. I’d tear you guys UP. Anyway, improve or suffer the consequences of not even mediocrity.

TLDR — If you’re looking for hot wings this is not your place. If you’re looking for various sweet sauces then this place might just be what you’re looking for. I was visiting the area for business when I decided to stop in here based on the reviews of other Unilocalers. After asking the waitress about the nuclear wings I decided to give them a go. The wings themselves were nice and plump and cooked very well. The sauce, however, was not what I expected. A sauce described as franks xhot with added hot sauce concentrate sounded just like what I wanted. The sauce I got was sweet. So sweet that it barely had a kick at all. Nuclear, I think not. I ended up swabbing the sauce off the wings because it was so sweet.

Hands down the best wings I’ve ever had!!! This place is awesome. Great atmosphere and friendly wait staff, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious lunch or dinner out! Jeff, one of the owners and chefs, is awesome too!

I had the Elvis burger & mozzerella sticks the burger was good and the mozz sticks were average not beer battered basic Frozen mozz sticks definitely in my opinion not worth the money spent. I know your in Hockessin however that doesn’t mean price gouge your customers. I could have fed a family of four at the taco shop for the same amount.

Peanut butter on a burger? Why not. Always trust a fat chef to make something amazing. Good beer selection too. And a kids menu that meets the need. A definite spot that meets the needs.

Great place for a burger and wings. Wings are delicious! Tried the peanut butter, hot and garlic butter… All wonderful. Cheeseburgers are huge! Just wish they would make the dining area nicer, I think the Greenville location is nicer. We sat in old chairs where the fabric was coming off And the tables were very blah.

I don’t get the 4 stars? I scope every place I go out on Unilocal beforehand and had high hopes for this place, but was disappointed. Went on a Sunday for lunch so I am not sure if that was our mistake, but the food was average at best. We got the crab and artichoke dip, which literally tasted like tartar sauce with crab in it so we did not get very far with that. I ordered a bacon cheese burger medium. Simple enough I thought, but the burger was burned on the outside and too pink on the inside with not much flavor. Fries were ok nothing special. My boyfriend got a wedge salad and hot wings. The salad lettuce wasn’t fresh and Thousand Island dressing on a wedge just doesn’t work. The wings were big and looked great, but the sauce was not at all hot instead it was sweet. I think sauce on the sweet side might be their thing though based on some of the names(Pear, Root beer). Our server was nice enough, but we waited a really long time for our check even though they were not busy at all. So long in fact my boyfriend had to go to the bar to request it after about 20 minutes of waiting, Again I don’t know if we went on the wrong day or made the wrong menu choices, but I don’t think we will be back.

The food is amazing but the service sucked the last three times I have gone over a period of about 3 months. Sad to say I will be looking elsewhere for my next burger or I will just use take out.

I have been coming here to the original location for as long as it has been open. It’s been about a year since my last visit, as I normally go to the Greenville location. Walking in brought back old memories of my buddy trying the burger challenge years ago at the back bar. However, after sitting down, I was dismayed to see that the place is in desperate need of a makeover. The walls were dingy and the chairs were shaky. Also, there must have been 20 flies inside, which was really annoying. We started with the ground beef nachos, which were huge! The beef had a great flavor. I had the state fair burger, which had pulled pork and onions rings on top. It was excellent. The food was great, but it would be nice to see the place get a renovation, especially since the other location is so new.

This is obviously a place that knows how to do meat. We got cheeseburger sliders as an appetizer, which were really good. Typical higher quality beef. My partner got the wings with«nuclear sauce», and they were apparently worthy of 5 stars. While I didn’t get to try one, I did try the sauce — the waitress brought out a sample beforehand at my partner’s request. While listed as the hottest on the menu, it was not unbearably spicy. Just perfect if you’re sensitive like I am. A tangy, full-bodied heat that emanates from the throat instead of being painful on your tongue. It was quite nice, I recommend it. What really turned me off was my own order. While the French onion soup was decent, the Strawberry Spring Salad was… not. Wilted, browning greens with holes and that earthy rotting flavor, completely drenched in the vinaigrette, topped with«candied pecans» that tasted more like cheesy rancid croutons(obviously not stored properly). I wish I was exaggerating. There were also a ton of flies around, I counted 4 or 5 mating on the table and attempting to get our food. Okay, the sign said«casual», but the sticky, dirty atmosphere in the dining area(and obviously the kitchen, given my salad) really turned me off. So, like I said — this place knows how to do meat… but I’d look for another location before considering coming back.

It’s amazing how cheesesteak tastes better in Philly; pizza tastes better in NYC; BBQ tastes better in Memphis; and wings always taste better in Buffalo. I’m well-travelled, and no matter where I am, I’m always looking for a great chicken wing. Many so-called wing places and chains put the word«Buffalo» in their restaurant name, but they pretty much fall short about 99.9% of the time. 2 Fat Guys makes the closest thing to authentic Buffalo wings outside Buffalo. Even better than some wings I’ve had in Buffalo. I’m always threatening to try the burgers here, since I’ve read some great reviews, but I always end up getting an order or two of wings instead. Can I use the word wings again in this review? I just did. Wings. There. I did it again. Did I mention I love the wings here?

My husband and I love 2 Fat Guys, no matter what time of day you attend you know that you are going to get good service and great food. They always have a special menu which is fantastic including the amazing«Fat Jar» consisting of pulled pork, burnt ends and coleslaw with a pickle. Their wings which I like to get plain with the sauce on the side since they have many options are fantastic. They are good sized, always crispy and love trying all of the sauces. Can’t wait to go back!

I love 2 Fat Guys. The food is excellent and the waitstaff is phenomenal. I have never had a bad experience here. My go-to fish is the chicken sandwich with root beer BBQ sauce, obviously accompanied by a root beer soft drink. Great bar food and great service.

First time here last night; I was craving a good burger and for $ 9.99 this place is charging, it better be a good one. The parking lot was getting full in the plaza around 7PM when I got there. I went into the back to the bar to place my take out order. They were pretty busy with all the tables in the dining area being full. Like another reviewer stated, they cook the burger the way you ask; I asked for med. rare and that’s exactly what I got(picture uploaded.) The bun was nice, it wasn’t that large burger bun(like more bread than meat.) There was a nice char on the burger. The fries weren’t that good, they were soggy by the time I got home, wish they could find a way to keep them crunchy for take-out orders. The atmosphere was nice as well, families and such all there for dinner. Looking at their other dinner options I am interested and will come back. I think the food is so good because they aren’t a large chain yet. The quality is still there.

So, husband, myself, and three tween daughters hit 2 guys on the way home from Lancaster. First, hard to spot shopping center. Next, entrance was nice, but deceiving. Seemed like bistro like until you get past the host stand. Then, just a pub restaurant. Dining room needs a good clean and paint job. Bathroom fairly clean. Food…great wings– we ordered them without sauce and 3 sauces on the side. Great way to go. Chocolate chili– fantastic. Strawberry blue cheese pecan salad– mom and dad loved 1 daughter tried… not really. Burgers– excellent… three cheese bacon and a classic with cheddar. Kids meals– ribs 7 ribs finger licking good… steak– good, good size too. last few restaurants did not give enough food to fill the girls. This was just right! Great beer selection. Also we ordered their ½ an ½ option(½ salad/½ burger). the salad was enough for both husband and I to share as well as was his chili. Even the buns were great!
