The UPS Store

Just walked into the store for a couple forms to notarize, a regular service provided by UPS. Only one person in the store so the employees where just standing around. They asked if I had an appointment. Never needed one in the past so not sure when that started. Anyway I asked if they could do it now because the store was empty and they literally said I’d have to make and appointment. If you ever have gotten a form notarized, It takes two seconds. And you can get it for free at your bank. So their business plan is to turn away a paying customer. Shame on you UPS. So I’m walking to my bank. Maybe you should te think your customer service.

I think mail routing is in order for mailboxes now and their service overall is very nice (regarding mailboxes, delivery, package receiving, notifications etc.). Good job!

The customer service at this location is bar none! I came in a rush on my way to the airport with a bunch of packages to send. The owner, Justin, immediately recognized my need for help and calmly assisted me with everything I needed including packaging, printouts, and all the shopping. All my returns were processed and I made it to the airport just in time. Thank you Justin!!!

Never write reviews, but these guys deserve it! They are always pleasant to deal with and provide every service needed.

Worst Possible Service–
Legal Zoom said they have an agreement with The UPS Store to notarize Wills. I even received a coupon for the UPS Store Notary Service. I called The UPS Store in Hoboken to confirm they could notarize Wills. They said,“Yes, come on in.”
When I arrived, the Notary said,“What are we Notarizing?” I said Wills, immediately the Notary said,“We don’t do that sort of thing here. You need to go somewhere else.” She turned and walked away.
Just the worst, misleading service possible.

Standard UPS store, nothing special, nothing horrible. The people that work there are always friendly and nice and helpful, and there never seems to be a line, and it is in a very easy to get to location on Washington street by some good restaurants and other places to run errands. More expensive than one of the three USPS locations obviously, but they get the job done.
One negative nit, you can’t drop off packages there late at night, they need a bigger drop box.

These guys work harder than anyone to make sure you get what you need done fast. I just came from shipping a package with them, and they were literally running around the store to make sure my package was taken care of and on its way without spending a second longer than needed doing so.
Some reviewers here don’t realize that UPS is a franchise, and that the individual stores can’t control things like how your package is handled in transit. These guys did their job quickly and professionally.

Will not use this place any more. Rude staff, they gave me wrong information on shipment options. My package waited at the store for 5 — 6 hours before actually delivered to ups. They told me there is no same day shipment option but the ups webpage says there is. Status tracking says air delivery but not giving actually the time (for example 8:30 am) etc. I left the store unsure about my package.

I have a mailbox at this UPS and I can say with confidence that this is the best UPS store that I’ve ever been to. Justin and his staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful to us.

Just SO MUCH EASIER than the Post Office. I was helped by Justin, and he worked efficiently and capably to make my visit as painless as possible. Need something notarised? Come here.

Seriously rude, humorless efficious staff. I had to notorize 2 documents. They acted as if they were doing me a really big favor. The girl sent to help me print was rolling her eyes and constantly yawning like I was keeping her up. The woman notorizing the docs was dry and utterly disconnected. I’m not expecting warm and fuzzy at UPS but don’t make me feel like I’m a big bother. They couldn’t even give me proper paper clips for the docs when I asked. I won’t be back. There are many other printing, shipping and notorizing options close by

The staff are the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I came in with a prepaid label to ship a faulty pre-​lit christmas tree back to Frontgate. I threw away the box back in December when we got the tree, only to discover a lot of pre-​lit lights not pre-​lighting only a week after we put it up.
So yes, I had a three part fake christmas tree with stand squished into the backseat of my car. I fully expected to park far, and make multiple trips out to carry increasingly large pieces of fake tree down Washington Street.
Not the case. I managed to park pretty close, but went in the store first to make sure they had a box big enough. They didn’t, but they said they would make one out of two of their largest boxes. Awesome.
When I told them what I was shipping, they offered to come outside and help me carry it in so I didn’t have to make multiple trips. (It is 19 degrees out and windy, so that was a huge win in my book.)
We dropped everything off on the counter, I paid a standard pack-​up-​the-​box fee, and then they said I was all set. All set? For some reason I fully expected to have to stand there and watch, or at least help them. Nope. They assured me it would be done and all of the small parts and return paperwork would be included in the box.
I was in and out in 5 minutes and fully prepared to spend at least 30 in there. I even paid for 45 minutes of street parking just to be safe.
I celebrated with a Starbucks on my way back to my car and went on my way.
Awesome people, great service, no stress whatsoever. There are a couple of shipping places in Hoboken, but this is the only one i’ll be going to from now on.

Place is ok. Seems a bit chaotic the few times I’ve gone. They closed at 2pm on New Years Eve. The USPS laughed as four people stood outside annoyed. He said you should use the Post Office. Ironic but he was right. For that service, it’s one of those days they should be open.

The staff here make everything so simple and easy! I’ve shipped several items, used their copy and print services… each and every time they are friendly and extremely helpful.
I think it’s safe to say that most of us feel the same way about the USPS (really slow, very unhelpful, such an unpleasant experience). Do your self a favor — skip the USPS and come to this UPS location. You’ll be amazed at how efficient it is!

Waited in line for 15mins then when it was finally my turn I was told credit card machine was down. No self service on copier machine either.

If I ever need to ship something out for whatever reason, I will make sure this is the spot that I do it at. I love this place, seriously.
All my previous trips to the United States Postal Service are filled with miserable, angry, rude, and unprofessional workers who just scare me. But that does not exist at this UPS Store, even though I was sort of preparing myself for it. In fact, I got the complete opposite. The staff welcomes you with a smile, they don’t yell, and they answer all your questions without an attitude. It seems like they are happy individuals. My kind of people. It’s a clean place, everything looks organized, and there were no long lines.
It’s a further trip from where I live, but after my second visit and receiving once again great customer service, I don’t mind. It’s located on Washington Street, so parking is difficult.

I have found Justin and the other staff to be professional and pleasant. They recognize me when I come in, and immediately remember whether I have a package or mail. It’s not geographically easy to get there for me, but I had no interest in going somewhere else when my box came up for renewal.

Seems silly to be so enthusiastic about a UPS store but when I experience amazing customer service, I have to spread the word (same goes for bad service ;)
This place is run by SUPERMAN. I think his name is Jon (Asian/​American guy). He is so swift, efficient, polite and helpful. He knows how to run a business.
My toddler fell onto a metal shovel at the front of the shop and he was extremely helpful, getting the first aid kit and showing that he did care.

I have a box here, and have enjoyed using their services for the past 6 months. Justin and his staff are attentive and even send me text messages when packages arrive. They are also great for general shipping needs. One of Hobokens best shipping/​mail centers.

I’m glad I discovered the new UPS store on Third and Washington Street. I had to ship something by UPS that I sold on the internet, and this location came up on my internet search.
I’m not a regular shipper like many, so I appreciated the professional demeanor I received when I called the store to get information. I stopped in later that day to ship my item, and once again the professional attitude and customer service towards a non-​regular was definitely noticeable and appreciated. I would certainly use this store for shipping in the future and recommend it to my friends.
