Great Guiness cool little pub. Really nice bartenders. Great place for a chill night!

Nag’s Head is exactly what you want in a bar. It’s a cozy, laid back spot where you can actually hang out with friends and hear each other speak. The bartender Stu is great and super friendly — I look forward to the fall when he brings back the spiked apple cider. Definitely not a place to «rage» but they do have a jukebox and 8 TVs. Great spot for games, happy hour, or just hanging out. Love it here!

Nags Head is a simple, cozy bar that you can relax and have a conversation in. The service is excellent and bartenders are extremely friendly. If you want to get away from plethora of loud clubs and sports bars in the area, Nags Head is the place to go.

Let’s meet at _________(insert Nags Head here). A great place to start your night… end your night… or spend your whole night. You might walk in to find it empty… but within 15 minutes the bar will have a great crowd…30 minutes later it may slow down again. It’s the perfect place. No pretense… and no bullshit. It’s a BAR… for those of you who remember what that means. ENJOY!

Went here, paid $ 20 for a cover, asked for a receipt that I paid. They would not give it to me, telling me that if I left I would have to pay another $ 20. Not worth $ 20. DEFINITELY not worth $ 40. Racists.

This bar is simple and usually not packed. Good for after work drinks and happy hour. Been here both on the weekend and weeknight. I probably wouldn’t go back for a weekend pint just because the prices are a bit high, especially for being a tad far off the beaten path(Washington). But happy hour domestic cans aren’t bad during the week.

You know why I like Nag’s Head? They keep it simple. There a few TVs, enough to catch a game but not too many to dominate the space. Everything is laid back and you can interact with as many or as few people as you like. There are a few beers to choose from too. If I am hanging out on this side of town Nag’s Head is definitely on my list.

Just moved to Hoboken a few months ago and this is my local haunt for after work drinks. Straightforward and chill. And I can’t resist a place that plays allllllll the right classic rock :)

I really like this place. I finished watching the last FIFA match here and was very happy to snag the last two seats. Service is not only great, but very friendly. Draft beers were reasonably priced and I got a great vibe from Nags Head. I like that it is off Washington and that the crowd, while convivial, was a bit older. This is a favorite bar for my BFF and I can definitely see why. I am coming back for the food.

I came here yesterday for a few drinks after work. It is a great neighborhood bar. There were three guys sitting there when I walked in. If you include the two male bartenders, that’s a 5:1 guy to girl ratio. The bartenders were super nice and friendly. They seemed to appreciated my post-work semi-buzzed-on-vodka humor. I’d like to go back for apps at some point because they have food from Tony Bologna’s which is one of my favorite pizza places in Hoboken. They have about 8 or 9 beers on tap, wine by the glass and a fully stocked bar. All in all, I think it’s a great, quiet place to grab a drink and watch a game.

I have lived in Hoboken for around 6 years now and had never been to this bar before this past weekend. It is small and pretty quiet. They have Strongbow on tap, so I was happy. This place needs a good crowd, I wonder how it is during the week.

This is a totally unassuming bar that we walk by all the time and say«we’re going to go here.» We finally did the other week, and let me tell you, this is a great neighborhood bar. Wasn’t at all packed on. Saturday night, and thankfully, absent of all the Washington Street riffraff. Great place for a relaxed drink.

Ok so Nag head, a old horse? This is my bar of choice in my ‘hood. The bartender Stacy she is always friendly and nice always has a great story. I initially came here on a simple Unilocal search. Best Search ever. This isn’t your loud music pumping hoboken bar, you wan to drink and have a conversation then come to Nag’s. I am one of those people that orders the«PBR» but that is my choice. They do have a awesome collection of beers. Never really super crowded. There is no food but you can order into the place so that is a plus! BYOF .WTF

It’s a good neighborhood bar, not usually crowded and pretty chill. They have a decent beer selection and friendly bar tenders. They do not serve food but they do have complimentary peanuts. If you are looking to party this isn’t the place, but if you want to grab some drinks and relax The Nag’s Head fits the bill.

I so desperately want Nag’s Head to become my neighborhood bar. I feel like it has all the ingredients to be ‘that place’ for me(peanuts at the bar included), but alas, it has never quite stuck. It does carry a solid selection of beer for such a small place(including some of my less common favorites.) That’s usually enough to keep me happy for a night, yet I can’t quite help but feel like I’m in a dungeon every time I go in. Even still, on the right night when the windows to the street are open, the tables next to the front are idyllic. If you are looking for a quiet place where you can always count on grabbing a seat at the bar and a no fuss, low-key vibe, this is the spot in Hoboken. Don’t be surprised if the bar is completely empty from time to time. Though the grass is always greener, it never seems to be quite crowded enough for me. A menu would be nice. I’ve also eye-spied(and day-dreamt about) the back patio which is closed to patrons. I’m sure there are a million Hoboken laws that will keep it that way, but outdoor seating would be a big plus for me. All suggestions aside, this is a perfectly average bar. I wouldn’t expect changes any time soon– they seem just fine with being just fine.

The best Guinness I’ve had in Hoboken! I always find it amazing that people order a PBR can or Miller Lite when a bar has a good selection of beer but I guess these kids will grow up sooner or later. This is a fairly standard Irish bar but the staff was pleasant and we ended up having a great time. It’s more of a neighborhood bar without all the craziness of the Washington Street bars. It was crowded on a Friday night but it was still easy to get a drink and carry on a conversation. Will definitely be back for the Guinness.

Ehhhh. Very quiet little bar close to my apartment that I finally tried. Quiet could be good, but average selection behind the bar with average prices and below average crowd = 2 stars in my book. No need to actively avoid this place, its fine — just make sure you bring lots of friends.
