This truck was on the pier in Hoboken and I decided to give it a try since I saw someone walking away with waffle fries, which get me every time. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with waffle fries and it was a bit pricey at $ 12, but wow was it worth it! I have eaten a lot of chicken sandwiches in my day and I find they are always bland, or soggy, or just your general boring chicken sandwich that has to be included on the menu to accommodate non-red-meat-eaters. NOTTHISONE! This one had BYFAR the crispiest chicken I’ve ever had on a sandwich. Every bite had serious crunch with the insanely good breading. But it didn’t end there. There were also pickles(!!) and a DELICIOUS herb mayo that made it absolutely unforgettable. If I could eat this sandwich for lunch every day of my life, I would be a happy person. A happy person who was 15 pounds heavier. The waffle fries were good too. But I will be salivating over the sandwich for many more days to come.

The Plum on the Run food truck comes to my campus every Thursday. I always wanted to try it but never had the time. My friend told me how the burger was great and then I decided to try it. I got the cheeseburger combo. Let me tell you, this burger was delicious. It may have been the best cheeseburger that I’ve ever had. The cheese was oozing off and the bun was awesome. The French fries that it came with are awesome as well. I’m so glad I tried it. It’s not the cheapest food, but it’s not super overpriced. Highly recommend it!

You must indulge in the high-end spins on classic New American fare«served straight up» here with a sophisticated twist(10am-9pm, 365 days a year!) by classically-trained owner chefs, who separately and in tandem have worked alongside Wolfgang Puck, Rick Moonen, Laurent Tourondel, Marcus Samuelsson, more. On their chalkboard, you’ll see that there are two kinds of burgers every day — cheese and also veggie; mac & cheese with braised pulled short ribs and their original recipe sofrito; sumptuous«Plum-wiches» like the Philly cheesesteak, crab cake and chicken(a few different ways — including grilled breast of or the Cordon Bleu sometime-daily special(available by secret password!); a market green salad and the curried couscous — that comprise the basic mains list. And must-try desserts, such as the daily-changing trio of made-on-premises«J’s cheesecake»(the chefs’ adaptations of a staff member’s grandmother’s original recipe!), like the piña colada, Reese’s-like peanut butter-chocolate or cookies and cream, as well as their homemade rice pudding and house-baked cupcake of the day, too –(I tried out the rich carrot with lavish creamy frosting on their opening day and talk about«luxe sweet treats»!)… This foodie nirvana on wheels, for days… is also by the waterfront, too! Oh, and did I mention the Über-affordable prices — like an average of $ 8-$ 10 for mains and desserts basically going for $ 2.50 — $ 4?!(Also, when you are in the mood for a more formal sit-down dining experience, I recommend that you try their affiliated Yellow Plum restaurant in Bloomfield, also offering an innovative New American fusion accented-menu…and with a charming patio, too).
