Note: this store is now located uptown on Washington Street, a much better location. The owner is always there and gives individual attention to her clients. It’s a small space with a select amount of well-​priced high quality clothing. I lived in Hoboken for 2 ½ years (long story long– I had a crazy vegan roommate in the East Village who ate cloves of garlic and loved to criticize… ME. I fled to Hoboken under duress and stayed awhile). I often wondered if the Uptown yuppies with their MBA’s and love of everything Tod’s would appreciate such a lovely shop that sells artsy yet sophisticated threads. The best is her jewelry selection. I bought a cocktail ring that I call, «Captain Conversation», ’cause everyone wanna talk about how great it is. Go to this boutique. Tell the owner «the writer» sent you. She’ll know– I was the only one in town not a kept woman, drunk frat boy or in finance.
