Pure convenience brought us here. There’s several bars right outside the PATH, this being one of them. We came in at around noon and we were unsurprisingly one of only 5 patrons. The bar has a pool table but otherwise, it’s a pretty standard bar. We ordered the chicken panini and classic salad with grilled chicken. Nothing to sing about. The chicken was soft but a bit too chewy, and everything seemed clean and well prepared. But the blood Mary??? Wooooweeeee, THAT was bloody awesome. I just can’t give over 3 stars for a standard, mediocre bar in Hoboken.

This is a great little bar in Hoboken if you’re in the mood for somewhere chill and maybe a game of pool. We were there around 1pm on a Saturday and they were servings BOGO mimosas which is actually what I was in the neighborhood for. Nothing special about the mimosas, they had typical cheap champagne and OJ, as well as a peach purée and some patrons were having their champagne with a splash of grenadine. I wish they had more games because I was a little jealous of the guys that were using the one pool table the whole time we were there, but we had a fun time nonetheless!

Came here on Halloween. never have even heard of this place before than but it was on the bar crawl list, and if i never heard of it i assumed there would be no line(as most were down the block). Of course as we rolled in there was no line so we walked right in, watched the Mets lose. Left and went to Green Rock across the street immediately. Really boring bar. Nothing special about this place at all, no music, no dance floor. Its a snooze fest

11÷1÷2015. Daughter here from out west. We went to Texas Arizona«Frat Boy/Animal House«first, Immediately turned around and walked out. Found Hotel Victor Bar a few steps away. Not crowded, we were acknowledged IMMEDIATELY with smiles. I had the Caesar Salad with Shrimp and the best Bloody Mary in a long time. Daughter had some brunch dish she totally devoured. The«football» ambiance was very laid back. I stayed for two more Pino Grigios. I will be back, They appreciate your patronage !!!(PS I knew the Hobsons who owned bar previously)

Stopped in here early on saturday afternoon to watch a football game. Seemingly the owner(maybe manager) helped serve us and was very friendly and accommodating. All three meals were good and large portions. Burgers and fries were eleven dollars. Hardly expensive. Surprisingly good veggie burger for a sports bar in hoboken.

Nice place to watch a soccer game. There are TVs on each side. The TVs are not double deckers a like in other places but because the place doesn’t get too crowded, it’s easy to see from anywhere. I went there for the women’s World Cup finals. It was the US vs. Japan and the Us won. A lot of other bars in the area were either empty or had no standing room. This place had enough fans to make noise and be exciting but still had open tables. Food: we got the potato chips appetizer. It’s just like nachos but with potato chips instead of corn. I liked them a lot although would probably add more toppings. Alcohol — I had a Stella cider because it was the only cider they had on hand. There were at least 5 of them of the menu but there were no options at the bar. I follow a gluten free diet and wished there were more choices. The waitress was lovely. She kept stopping by to see of we needed anything… Sometimes during goals or parts of the game that should not be interrupted, but it was all good… The concept of soccer fans may be new to the area. There was also a pool table in the space.

I had such a wonderful experience throwing my husband a surprise birthday party at the Hotel Victor Bar and Grill. The owner could not have been more kind and accommodating and the wait staff made our night a hit. The food was great and the drinks were perfect. The surprise went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend this venue!

Where to begin… came here on a Sunday afternoon, where really every place on Hoboken had 1 hr waits. Saw this place and they had immediate seating. That should have been the red flag… I walked in no one greets me Ordered poached eggs and the waitress said ok how do you want your eggs scrambled? I looked at her with 4 heads, clearly she has no clue what poached eggs are! Food was bland and the service was a complete disaster, ordered a water and didn’t receive it until 20 mins later! I will never return, not one good thing came from this experience.

Perfect location since right near path — food was delicious! Went for happy hour and particular appy’s were only $ 5! We got penne vodka and grilled cheese with bacon and tomato — both were sooo good! I never saw penne vodka as an appy so I was very excited! As an entrée I had shrimp over linguini in a lemon butter sauce — it was ok… wasn’t the best I ever had and wasn’t the worst — I mean I suppose that is what you get for getting a spaghetti dish at a bar. Ambiance was nice — definitely fun place to watch basketball games — staff were very friendly and attentive

Hotel Victor is a nice little bar, much quieter than neighboring Green Rock and Texas Arizona. Not too many drafts, and I didn’t really notice anything craft. The happy hour specials were pretty good, with $ 5 appetizers, specifically the nachos and grilled cheese. The service was quick and friendly, especially for having only 2 waitresses. I wouldn’t mind coming back for a beer.

I’ll be honest, I generally steer clear of bars so close to the Path station(Green Rock, Texas Arizona, Cadillac Cantina, Teak, Wicked Wolf, etc.) because they tend to be overpriced, underwhelming, and overcrowded with bros. I’m much more of a Cooper’s Union/Northern Soul/Louise & Jerry’s type of girl. However, I stopped in at Hotel Victor Bar & Grill with a friend around 6PM on a Thursday before heading to a cocktail event in Jersey City and I was pleasantly surprised! A clean, classy bar with friendly, attentive staff that’s not overcrowded and blasting Top 40? Nice! The special was $ 5 martinis and $ 5 apps. We ordered Peach Martini’s to start — after consulting with the very helpful and friendly waitress(I didn’t want anything too sweet). They tasted pretty weak, but still good. We then put an order in for their Mini Grilled Cheeses, and a round of the French Martinis(after consulting ANOTHER very friendly and helpful waitress). The French Martini’s were delicious, and I realized that the«weak» Peach Martini that I had first was not as weak as I had assumed! About 20 – 25 minutes passed with no Mini Grilled Cheeses in sight(I’m assuming because the number of customers doubled as we were sitting there), so we asked the waitress if we could please take them off the bill because we had to leave to get to our event on time. Before she came back with the check, our Mini Grilled Cheeses came out and we BEGRUDGINGLY ate them. Let me tell you, for a $ 5 bar app they were SO worth the wait! They came with a mini cup of tomato soup for dipping, which was the perfect combination. TRYTHEM! Seriously. So overall, the food service may be slow when the bar gets busy but the staff and atmosphere make up for it. I’m not sure I would’ve paid more than $ 5 for anything we ordered… so make sure you go when they are having a special! And try the Mini Grilled Cheeses! :)

We stopped in here for Tuesday Trivia Night in lieu of the Yankees game(the weather was cold, rainy, and WINDY… not fun for baseball) and had a pretty good time. Décor: It’s a standard bar; nothing more, nothing less. It is literally only one room, so it isn’t HUGE but it is a decent amount of space. The bathroom, which is down a flight of stairs, was clean, well lit, and inviting as well. Food/Drinks: I believe because it was a Tuesday they had killer happy hour specials on drinks; 50% off everything! You really can’t beat that. Especially when they have a decent beer menu and a cocktail list that had a few options that sounded good. The food menu is very limited, but everything we had was very good. We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip(with homemade chips! YUM!!) and then had the mini Grilled Cheeses, Chicken Sliders, Cheeseburger, and the wings. For dessert, just more beer during trivia. Staff: Our waitress was very odd. When we arrived she seemed like she was trying to rush us out the door(even though we were the ONLY people not sitting at the bar). She also was not on top of things and, overall, just was not what one would hope for on any level(misunderstood orders, had to be waved over several times, slow on the drink refills). The Tuesday Trivia was very fun! There was a decent crowd and the questions were not insanely difficult(but not insanely easy either). The guy running the trivia was really cool and friendly and everyone that played seemed to have a really good time. Plus, there are prizes to be won! We didn’t win any, but I could certainly see us coming back to try again. The brief food menu and poor waitress performance, however, will keep this from being a regular spot for us.

I used to come here often when it was Hobson’s. I recently came to find its name had changed. Overall, I love this place for the fact that it’s close to the train and that you can usually find a table. It isn’t overly crowded like Texas Arizona can get. The have a decent amount of large TVs too which makes it easy to view a game. The downside was the food this time around. My husband got a bar pie which was pretty bland, although he enjoyed it. I ordered what I thought were the buffalo chicken sliders, but when I bit into the first one, it was extremely dry because all it contained was crispy chicken on a bun. I asked for a side of buffalo sauce and ranch which made them a lot better. Closet to what I believed I had ordered. Mine came with a side salad with VERYTANGY balsamic dressing. Almost too tangy and drippy. Made me choke a little because it was so tart. Drinks were standard– I had a corona and my husband had a lemon tasting beer. Overall, I will continue to visit because it’s a great bar to quickly snack at.

Swung by Hotel Victor for a quick bite with my wife before a friend’s birthday party last night in Hoboken. It’s got a nice, welcoming ambiance. Pairing a classy bar and some high-tables for eating, Victor does a decent job of presenting itself. +Food: –Bar pie(plain): wasn’t bad at ALL. They offer a variety of toppings — sausage, peppers, bacon, buffalo chicken. It was nice and cheesy, PLUS more cheese sprinkled on top. Not bad at all. +Drinks: –Beers: I got the Hoegaarden, and they had a bunch of pretty decent beers on tap. Price was a bit pricier than I thought. Dropped about $ 40 for two beers, a bar pie, and a crispu chicken sandwich(my wife’s pick).

4 stars for the awesome service and drink specials. My sister & I were looking for a place to grab a couple of drinks and food before the JT show and this place is located right by the path. We sort of ended up here by mistake… I thought it was Texas Arizona but once I was doing my Unilocal check-in and looked down at the menu I saw Hotel Victor. We decided to stay for a drink but ended up loving the drink specials(happy hour-4−8 pm) and the our server was so friendly we couldn’t leave her! The place isn’t too big and there were just a few people there. $ 5 martini and $ 5 appetizers are available. I had the brassy blonde and peach cosmo-both stronger than I thought. They had Booklyn IPA($ 3) also available so I finished my happy hour special with that one. I can’t rave about their appetizers – I wasn’t pleased. Very small and cold quesadillas and that’s why I ended up buying food at MSG –_-. Brian was also helping out-bringing out our drinks and making small talk. He was very attentive. I’m glad I accidentally stumbled in this place and know to come back for drinks!

This place has became my friends and my go-to place on Tuesdays. Everything is half off and the food is decent. Initially, we were all scared to go here after reading the reviews on Unilocal but we decided to give it a try(it just happened that it was Tuesday when we went — what a pleasant surprise!) For those who are browsing through Unilocal, just come in and grab a drink(beer is beer) and if you don’t like the menu, move on to the next bar! The only downside is… when this place gets packed, it’s packed. Unlike other bars where you can stand around, you kind of can’t do that in this place.
