I found 3 flies in my fried rice!!! I’ll never eat here AGAIN!!! SO GROSS!!!
And they didn’t even care, they said sorry and asked if I wanted something else.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT EAT HERE, IT’S DISGUSTING!!!

Singapore fried rice w. extra curry and extra egg, and crab rangoon are our favorite. we get that every time!

Cheap lunch specials if you are looking for something quick and simple. They do offer online ordering although I placed one and I guess it didnt go through on their site because they had no idea what I was talking about when I showed up to pick it up.
We had the sweet and sour pork and chicken eggplant– neither were amazing but did the trick. We would probably go back and maybe try something different.
We were not a fan of their egg rolls.

I was a little nervous to order delivery from this place but I was pleasantly surprised! Their lunch special is such a good deal. For $ 5.95 I got chicken and eggplant, pork fried rice, and hot and sour soup. The portions were decent and so was the food. I liked the hot and sour soup a lot, and the delivery was really quick. It came in about 15 – 20 minutes and there was no minimum. I would order from here again.

Usually come here for my Saturday Afternoon lunch. Food is cheap $ 6 for lunch special with and Eggroll.
Usually order Sweet and Sour chicken and its the best in the area.

Absolutely love Green Garden, you cannot beat their lunch special and their food =) friendly staff, very quick turn around time for food!!!

Simply not good. Chicken and brocoll was OK. wonton soup was gross. Szechuan dumplings were GROSS. fried rice was OK. i would NOT order from here again.

Large Singapore fried rice and two egg rolls. I have been ordering the same thing from them for 7 years now.

I got food delivered from here a while back and ordered the fried chicken and a lunch special of chicken in garlic sauce. The lunch came with a large cup of soup and brown rice (or whichever rice you opt for).
The portions are huge for the really low prices but I was not a fan of my chicken dish. The chicken lunch special turned out to be a veggie dish with a couple small pieces of chicken thrown in. I kept digging with my fork to find the chicken (I hate veggies) but I gave up when I realized that there wasn’t any hidden chicken to find in there! Overall, my dish lacked flavour and was rather bland but the fried chicken and soup were decent.
Next time I crave Chinese, I would probably opt for a different dish and skip the lunch specials if I order from here!

Got take out from here last weekend. Based on the reviews I was a little iffy on what we’d end up with.
Then again, I suppose it’s pretty hard to mess up sesame chicken and pork fried rice. Overall I have nothing to complain about, they served us pretty quickly and with minimal aggravation.

This is my favorite quick Chinese food place in Hoboken. They always have very quick delivery, never mess up the rode and the good is always great. I’ve had just about everything on the menu over the years and never once been disappointed. I’m especially fond of their orange chicken and sesame chicken.

Been using them since I moved to Hoboken almost 3 years ago and they are Awesome! Fast delivery, nice staff, and the food is good, I mean its your standard Chinese takeout stuff but the quality is good. Dumplings, Wonton soup, steamed dishes and pork fried rice are really good! Great thing about them is if you use them regularly they always take care if you and remember your order. One of the best takeout Chinese spots in town.

I had not been to Green Garden is a while and while passing by I decided to try it for a soothing one dish meal. I ordered the Shrimp Schezwan. Granted, I did not show up having the highest of expectations, but Green Garden had a winner this Saturday night. The dish was very fresh, cooked just right and tasty to boot! It had a great variety of vegetables and the shrimps were a medium to large size and were luscious.

Ordered take out, and this is the 3^rd time. I received more white rice then actual broccoli and chicken, there is hardly any chicken and the portions are small. I am small woman that does not eat alot but this place is ridiculous. they over charged me 30 cents when the guy in front of me ordered the same thing and paid less! So, they try to rip some people off. Won’t be back… going down the block.

And for our next round of Hoboken Chinese food search… we are going to Green Garden. Let’s review.
Ordered just after 7:00 on an somewhat rainy Thursday. Delivery was promosed at 20 – 25 minutes, and arrived in 21 minutes. So far so good.
And most of the usual suspects…
Wonton Egg Drop Soup — the broth here is of the thicker variety, which is not what I am really looking for in my egg drop soup, but the wontons were doughy and chewy, which is exactly what I am looking for. For me, broth trumps wontons, so I’m not really sold on this guy.
Fried Pork Dumplings — generous portion here. 8 dumplings for $ 5. Doughy, chewy, and tasty. Really good, and do recommend.
Egg Roll — the skin on this was a bit more dense than I prefer, and less flaky compared to other places. Again, not really my cup of tea.
Boneless Ribs — nice, generous portion of well sauced, tender, and slightly fatty pieces. Really good, and can’t think of places in Hoboken that do it better.
Pork Fried Rice — well, they certainly aren’t shy with the veggies in this one. It comes with lots of bean sprouts and onions, and for the first time in pork fried rice history, brocolli! This was eh… the rice had that yellow color instead of that deep brown and reminded me of the rice from Yeung. Not worth getting, at least not for my taste.
Roast Pork Lo Mein — like the rice, the veggies in this guy are alive and well. Not bad… better than some, not as good as others. Middle of the pack, totally acceptable, but not spectacular Lo Mein. Does the job.
General Tsos Chicken — nice portion with just the right amount of sauce. Tasty and with some (but not too much) brocolli. Good dish, but I think Aroma does it better.
Overall, from here you get speedy delivery, generous portions, and hit or miss food. The boneless ribs were the star for me, with servicable Lo Mein, General Tso’s Chicken, and Fried Pork Dumplings.
I’ll continue my search for the best Chinese take out place in Hoboken until I find it… stay tuned for the next one!

Very solid Chinese food for a low price. Fast turn around on pick ups and never make mistakes on the order.

A-​OK is exactly right. The food from Green Garden was not earth shattering but it did get the job done. Delivery wasn’t lighting fast, but it wasn’t slow. They are not the cheapest Chinese food in town, but they certainly aren’t the most expensive.
If you are like me and like to vary the restaurants you order take-​out from, feel free to add Green Garden to the mix.

I haven’t gotten any monumental dishes here — just basics like lo mein, spare ribs, soup and the like. Nothing tasted good. The boneless ribs were very fatty, the lo mein was overcooked and mushy and the soup was like dishwater. It’s hard to get some of those basics wrong, but they managed to. Wouldn’t return even for the uptown convenience.

I mean it isn’t Chinatown NY quality Chinese food but it is a hole in the wall.
On a rainy day, I somehow wound up here with my boyfriend and we got shrimp fried rice and a chicken and veggie dish. It was alright. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t extremely delish or anything.
I would give them three stars except for the fact that their soy sauce packets sucked. Their soy sauce was super bland and didn’t taste like anything.

The Green Garden is always a mistake. Just because it is slightly closer to your apartment and it may be raining, just walk a few more blocks to a better Chinese Take Out Restaurant.
I ordered a Large Wonton & Small BBQ Rib Tips. The soup was watery and lacked all flavor. The wontons were standard restaurant depot fare. The rib tips were mostly bone & fat. Inedible.
Please go elsewhere. You’ve been warned.
