I really want the HoHoKus bakery to be successful. I had a coffee and glazed doughnut their this morning. I thought the doughnut was edible but stale. Seemed like it was a day old. Not acceptable. They have to be careful about the freshness of their bakery goods. I’ll try them one more time. Hopefully this was an aberration!

Where do you start?! Everything just looks amazing and delicious. A bunch of co-workers had been going here for breakfast and I figured I’d join the commotion. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese and I have to say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. You really can’t beat it! Going to a convenience store you get just that, but here… absolutely the other end of the spectrum. There were some pastry purchases for later on in the day and they were absolutely awesome. Great place to go to!

Everything I’ve had here so far has been yummy, especially the pignoli nut cookies and the cannoli. My mom is Italian — and a cannoli snob — and she says they’re as good as she’s ever had. A very welcome addition to Hohokus!

Amazing pastries and beautiful cakes — very tasty! The cupcakes and crumb cake(3 flavors) were to die for! I would definitely recommend this bakery — it’s just like the ones I grew up with all over the place… not too fancy but just good food — that’s what really counts.

So disappointed in this new«Italian» bakery. Went in at 3:30 pm to purchase a cannoli – the ultimate test. Yes, the shell was hand rolled and flakey but it had been filled early in the morning! Everyone knows you fill a cannoli at the selling time… the filling was old on the ends(had a slightly rubbery film from the air exposure) and had green spinkles on the ends. I understand that many bakeries don’t use pistachios on the ends anymore due to the cost but I’d rather nothing than green sprinkles. Sorry, Ho Ho Kus Bakery, you’re in for a short lease if you think this is acceptable.
