This McDonald’s is usually pretty good, for a McDonald’s. It’s the only close lunch option near my work. I came here today on my break. They have 2 drive thru lanes and I still waited a ridiculously long time. I got up to give my order and was told«Sorry, our system is down. We are only accepting cash.» Really? You couldn’t have put a sign outside or something? Since I spent majority of my lunch hour in the drive thru line, I only had time for a quick trip to Shell for some snacks. At least Shell took my debit card!

I never thought I would be writing a review about a McDonald’s, especially one a few blocks from world headquarters, but here I am. We walked in on a Sunday night around 6PM. Our order was 2 hot chocolates(which were made right after we ordered) and 2 Apple pies. Our drinks sat behind the counter for at least 5 minutes until 1 worker handed them to us and said it would be another 3 and ½ minutes for the pies. We saw pies come and go in the drive thru line but never got ours. 15 minutes later the manager came out and asked if we were still waiting on the pies, we said yes and he gave us 2 free meals for the inconvenience and said it would be ANOTHER5 minutes for the pies. We waited another 7 minutes and left with out the pies. By the time we left it was 6:32 We were in town for a soccer game and were already late because of the wait for the pies. To top it all off, when we got to the fields and stepped out of the car one of the Hot Chocolates was leaking from a huge hole in the bottom of the cup.

The cashier at the 1st window was falling asleep. Literally. I said I assume that’s a joke right? Then he says he didn’t sleep last night. I said well you don’t look like you’d be out partying, did you have a baby or something. He says yes actually and I’ve developed insomnia. Nice guy but sleeping at the window probably not a safe place for him today. The line was 17 minutes for an amount of cars that should have taken 5 – 8 minutes. They forget food and the drinks were wrong. Maybe these factors played Into slow service.

This location has gone downhill. Customers were circling the entire restaurant looking for a trash that wasn’t overflowing, but there was none. 4 out of the 4 trash bins were beyond full and so customers had to give up and leave their trash at the tables. Tables were mostly dirty even besides the trash. When customers told the workers about how there was nowhere to put more trash, one girl just went«oh,» and looked like she was thinking«Bitch, please.» The workers have changed drastically from what they used to be, so now the place is just dirty. Also, it took 15 minutes for my boyfriend to get his sandwich even though there had only been 1 customer waiting in front of him. My pies I ordered had expired 5 hours past the«enjoy by» time that was stamped on them, and they were cold and hard as a rock and the custard was yellowed. But I knew that if I were to ask for a fresh one, it would take at least 15 min. Get your act together people!

Most extravagant, decorated, fantastic McDonald’s I’ve been to anywhere, although naturally the food is prepared and tastes exactly the same as any other… So whereas the place is definitely worth coming to see, to look at the architecture and design of the building inside & out, you’ll get as good of a burger, chicken nuggets, fries, or strawberry banana smoothie here as you’ll get at any other McDonald’s! Moreover, the place can be super busy and the lines move at the speed of any other McDonald’s too, so it can take awhile. No matter, I’ll come again if I need something fast-food.

«I’m lovin’ it.» When I come to the Hinsdale McDonalds, I feel like I’m in one of their commercials. Friendly faces smiling at me. Prompt service. People holding the cute little folded back at just the right angle so it displays the logo to the camera, which isn’t actually there since I’m not ACTUALLY inside the commercial. But that’s what it feels like. One of the 1980s-era feel-good commercials they used to do. «It’s a good time, for the great taste of McDonalds!» I am guessing that the proximity of this location to the McDonald’s headquarters in Oak Brook has something to do with the level of service here. But y’know what? I like it. I like feeling like a valued customer even if all I spend is a couple bucks. «Have you had your break today?»(I’m a hapless victim of marketing. And I love a catchy jingle.) Inside, the place is a showcase. With chandeliers and actual award cases. It’s definitely something to see if you have a few minutes to stop inside. My only complaint here is they seem to put the most timid, quiet people on the drive-thru. Or perhaps there’s a problem with the speaker. Either way, it’s very difficult to hear them. And subsequently, they seem to have an equally difficult time hearing me, so they often repeat my order incorrectly and we have to do the dance of corrections a couple of times before getting it right.

This is a nice McDonald’s. When I was younger, for some reason, I used to think that MCDS were cold and just trying to churn out the next consumer. Nowadays, I know they are still trying the same thing, but this MCDs, along with the others I’ve been do, seem so much more«upscale.» Yeah, I just used that word to describe a McDs. I appreciate the effort, Ronald! Thanks for the Egg McMuffin(My first EVER with the Canadian Bacon). I like you as a friend, but we will never be more than that McDs…

Always check your order by opening the box or wrapper, especially when you go through drive-through. I just ordered a steak, egg, and cheese bagel but actually got a bacon, egg, and cheese in a steak, egg and cheese wrapper! Don’t just look at the box or wrapper, it’s deceiving. This has happened to me often… today I was in a rush so didn’t get a chance to open the wrapper before I left.

Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. Ordering area way understaffed with lots of people waiting to order or get their food. Little overlapping behind the counter. People only have 1 job and don’t or aren’t willing to help make things flow. The seating is just stupid in this place. It is so tight that people bump into you while you are eating as they try to get to a table. It isn’t their fault, it is the ignorant layout of this place. The food was consistent and as expected. The service and seating arrangement brings this place down. It is funny that HQ is just 2 – 3 miles down the road. You would think this place would get a lot of visits from upper management. Maybe McD’s upper management thinks this place is good. That would explain why sales are dropping overall for McD’s.

Its a McDonalds lets get that straight so this place should be reviewed as a fast food place would. All the menu is the same but the inside is made to look like a 5 star cuisine! The staff is always very friendly. They do like most place mess up every once in awhile but you get what you paid for. This is by far one of my fav McDonald’s in the area.

I find this McDonalds hilarious. They literally have chandeliers in the seating area and are piping«smooth jazz» over the intercom. The whole experience is surreal. I almost expect a valet or coatcheck in the place. But, the orders come out fast and correct and the place is super clean, so what else could you want?

One of the prettiest McDonald’s you’ll find; two drive through lines(great, especially when in a hurry). Well priced and very convenient, just blocks from 294.

It’s gorgeous, clean, fancy lookin’…but it’s still a McDonald’s. They’re not going to make gourmet food appear out of thin air. With that being said, I think it might be getting an unfair shake from other posters who are reviewing McDonald’s as a whole instead of this particular location. I went here with a group of teenagers with cognitive impairments and the place was good. Good, but exactly what you’d expect. They got us 15 ice cream sundaes in under 10 minutes… which I think is pretty impressive. The décor is really nice compared to other McDonalds. The outside looks very put together and you probably wouldn’t think it was a McDonalds if you just drove by. Inside is very clean, cool seating arrangements, big seating space. If I were in a pinch, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit this McDonald’s again!

McDonalds are McDonalds in my humble opinion, but the décor and buiding here are much more interesting than most of the«normal» Mcdonalds out there. The Graue Mill is right down the road, so I am guessing that the area is trying to keep an historical theme. Other than that, its just Mcdonalds!

When the world headquarters of McDonald’s is a couple of miles away, one would think that this place would be a showcase. Appearance-wise, it is. You’ve got your crystal chandeliers, fancy curtains and artwork, even though the paintings look like they came from one of those Starving Artist sales in the«ballrooms» of cheesy hotels. The food? What can you say about Mickey D’s cuisine? It’s the same all over the place. What makes this place unique, apart from its décor, is the appalling service. Nine times out of ten, when I’m in the drive-thru, something is forgotten. You get five instead of six McNuggets. An entire sandwich is missing. The ranch dip is nowhere to be found. Okay, it sounds as though I am being picky about lousy fast food. But it happens all the time here. McDonald’s should be ashamed of this place. Most of the staff should be replaced with people who actually know what they are doing.

The food is usually hot but the drink orders are frequently wrong. I almost always get sweet tea instead of unsweeted even when the receipt is correct. The basics of getting regular coke instead of diet and regular tea instead of sweet tea should not be that hard. If I didn’t work down the block I would never go to this McDonalds.

I am not going to rate McDonald’s as a whole. All I can say is that this is the worst McDonald’s I have ever had the misfortune of visiting more than once. I live nearby, and the fact of the matter is that my kids love McDonald’s breakfast. So, every three or four weeks, I break down and we end up going out to pick up breakfast. And 4⁄5 times going through their drive through, they make major mistakes. They often forget whole parts of the order, or they include the wrong kind of sandwich, or they forget the maple syrup for the pancakes. To make matters worse, they pack the bags so tightly that checking the order is quite an inconvenience before driving off. I have told management that they have a major problem, and they said that they were going to work on it.
