The atmosphere at here was great and the pan seared scallops risotto was fresh and tasty with a glass of Pinot Grigio. The price is a little expensive here, but we will probably comes back once in a while.

I wanted to find a nice place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Could not have found a better place! We had such an amazing experience. The place was clean and lovely, the staff was nice and welcoming, the waitress was fantastic and the food unbelievable. We brought two of our kids under 8 and they loved the food as well. I would HIGHLY recommend tosca restaurant! Definitely a great place for special occasions or a romantic dinner. Good job Tosca’s !!!

Great dinner at Tosca once again. I have not been in a few years and the quality of food and service just keeps getting better. We had the WILDBOARBOLOGNESE, what taste, pasta cooked perfectly, WOODGRILLEDPORKCHOP, amazing, CRISPYPOINTJUDITHCALAMARI, perfect, Truffled Parmesan Potato«Tots», crazy good, PANSEAREDSCALLOPS, cooked perfectly, MEATBALLS, WINE, MARTINI’S, THECANOLLIDOUGHNUTSWERECRAZYGOOD. All of the entrees and appetizers were on the money. The waitress and servers were right on too. The great thing is is you can have an expensive dinner or you can go for a nice pizza and some wine and get out of there cheap. sorry for the caps but that is right from the menu.

This place is always a solid go-to. Nice atmosphere, if a little lively on a weekend. During the week you can find a nice quiet table if you hit it right. Food is top notch. Always seem to have Island Creek Oysters when I’m there with the wife which is a big plus for us original Duxbury natives. Their«chicken under a brick» is to die for polenta and all. Wife likes the salmon. All in all, tough to lose at this place. Business casual to more formal attire. A+

My last review was for Caffè Tosca. I will never eat there again. Tosca? You rock. Our meals tonight were excellent! From the steak tartare to dessert, excellence bar none.

Three guys catching up on decades of where our lives have taken us led us to Tosca Friday night. From the drinks to the food to the service and décor, we had a truly memorable dining experience. From Butternut dumplings. Ravioli stuffed with burrata covered in.peston. Oysters mignonette that were knocked out of the park. The clams with pasta, cheese plate with fig jam, dates, pear slices and a true range of 4 cheeses that hit every taste bud. Our friend and host asked about the house made gnocchi and it was this work of art, light, rich, simple and thrown into a brick fire to crisp the top. N uh Chelly gelato, fresh berries and crew and a maple crème Brule. The only downside was IPA selections, but it really should’ve been a cab or brunello night but it was still an amazingly good time with great people in a welcoming atmosphere. Peter our waiter was great too. knew the menu inside out and bus staff removed endless plates and glasses as we indulged. Thanks Tosca. exceeded all our expectations.

Been 3 times. 1st time host forgot about us… but we were ok at the bar. Food was excellent. 2nd time returned Risotto as it was watery & flavorless. 3rd time, no issues. Great service & food.

The food was great, the drinks were good. The service was poor, we felt uncomfortable when we walked in the door and felt rushed to finish our meals. The waiter took away our leftover pizza and did not even offer to wrap it. After our main course, my boyfriend asked if we could have my meal wrapped, which the server did. The waiter also took away his unfinished meal while he still had his fork in hand. I’d be much more likely to return if we had a different server/hostess experience. With that being said, I highly recommend the margarita pizza!

Love the food. Four of us and we all had filet mignon with a couple appetizers and some wine. Great wine choice. The cost was about $ 400. Extremely pricey!

Flawless as usual! truffle tots, chicken under a brick, the filet mignon melts in your mouth, get the boar Bolognese or as an appetizer to share. Had a mini carrot cake donut dessert, it was to die for. I cant say enough about our fav spot on the south shore. Make reservations.

We had the grandparents babysit so we could have a date night, which hasn’t happened much in the 7 months since our daughter was born. We got to Tosca around 7:45pm, our reservation was at 8 and our table was ready around 8:20pm. Luckily we weren’t in any rush and were able to enjoy a drink in the bar area before dinner. The bar was jam packed, but the bartender was nice enough to be on the lookout and got our drink order pretty quickly. When we were seated, our server appeared and offered us waters and took our drink order. We put in an order for a cheese board, which was very good, and weren’t rushed into ordering our main entrees. We really wanted to take our time and not feel rushed since these nights don’t happen much these days. Everything was well paced — drinks, starter, dinner, dessert and more drinks — and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We had some wine, and while the pours were inconsistent, I thought they had a nice selection. I had the scallops with cauliflower risotto and my husband has the short rib special. While both were good, we both reached for the salt. Dinner was good but not outstanding, but I’d say the overall experience was worth it.

If your looking for great food, service and ambiance Tosca is it. I’ve lived in the South Shore all my life and Tosca was always a favorite and still is. If your going to do the butchers selection of meats be sure to split a side or two, they are a lot and I never finished any of them. I would also recommend a reservation as they do fill up quickly.

Food was decent… Nothing to rave about… They try to be a Mortons /Capital Grille of the South Shore. I wasn’t impressed. The place was extremely loud and I sat next to a large birthday group where the birthday boy got so drunk he actually fell into another couple… It was PATHETIC… I wrote a letter expressing my displeasure with this situation and they did not respond. I will NOT be going back and I will definitely steer many people away from this restaurant. You want fine dining, stick to the REAL steakhouses not some second rate wannabe…

New«fast food» approach at Tosca? I’ve always had a fabulous experience at Tosca, so when my husband suggested going out to dinner to celebrate a special occasion, Tosca was my first choice. We had a 7:30 reservation, arrived a few minutes early, and were promptly seated. So far, so good. A server arrived immediately to take our drink order, but we hadn’t even had time to open the menu. She came back, got us all set with drinks, and took our order. My husband got the corn soup, and I had the burrata salad. Both were delicious. I was mid-way through the salad when a server came and asked if she could clear our plates. Really? My plate was still half full, and I had a fork in my hand. I informed her that I was still eating. Within 2 minutes, our regular server showed up and asked if we were still eating. Answer: Yes. Another 2 minutes, she’s back with our entrees while I’m still finishing my salad and slides the entrée plate close to in front of me. At this point I was flabbergasted. I had planned to order a glass of wine with dinner, but I was still finishing up my pre-dinner cocktail so decided to skip the wine. She offered dessert and coffee at the end, but we had been so rushed through our meal that we were still too full for dessert. As for the entrees, they were very good, but the risotto that came with both meals was bland and a bit undercooked(mine was very chewy). From beginning to end, the entire experience took just under an hour. Not exactly what you expect from a fine dining establishment. Tosca is a 40-min drive one way from where we live. We’ll think twice before going back.

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for years. Last week we finally made it in. The service and food were both excellent. My wife got the pan seared scallops. They were browned with a perfect crust, while remaining tender. She also got a side if garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes had a rich flavor without being overwhelming. I got the new York strip done medium rare. The steak came out with a rich sear on the outside, and cooked perfectly. I also ordered a side of wild mushrooms. I would definitely come here again.

After a few great visits a few years ago, I decided to celebrate my birthday at Tosca last weekend with my husband, and I’m so glad I did. We sat in the back area, not the main restaurant, but for the Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend, and no reservation, it was just fine with us. We started with the box of shrimp and it was delicious! For the entrees we got cod and chicken under a brick. Husband said chicken was amazing, my cod was ok… No fault of the restaurant, just not totally my taste. We got the tots to share and they were the highlight of the dinner for me! I’d go back and have those with a glass of wine and be just fine! Looking forward to our next visit.

What an amazing experience we had here this past Mother’s Day. A dear friend who recently passed away gave each of us a gift card to dine here together and we spent it that day in her vision. Everything from the delicious multigrain and white bread with olive tapenade down to the after brunch coffee was amazing. The service was outstanding. All went above and beyond. We had the pleasure of sharing the following: Roasted beets — The beets themselves were juicy and appetizing and the way they prepared the goat cheese was non traditional. It was actually breaded, fried and shaped like a crab cake. Definitely a different spin than what we’re used to when we think goat cheese and beets. Cesar salad — Very delicious and fresh and I’ve always loved how they served it with the white anchovies and the extra crunchy croutons. Calamari — High quality and very plentiful. I love spicy food so the kick from the peppers added to the overall dish. Island Creek raw oysters — The nice mignonette sauce into the oysters added an extra WOW factor. Classic Margarita pizza — Not greasy, nice and thin. A true flatbread pizza. Porcini Pizza — Same as the Margarita although we thought this could’ve had a tad more truffle flavor added. Pan seared scallops — 4 large silver dollar sized scallops with a healthy serving of risotto. Loved it more this time than the previous times I’ve been here for scallops years ago. Truffled parmesan tater tots — Now this was star of the show. Very unique and definitely a must try. The inside of the tater tots were like truffled mashed potatoes while the exterior was light and crunchy. Big hit on our table. If I could give 10 stars, this would rightfully deserve it! Broccolini — This is probably the only dish we weren’t too crazy about. I loved the mesquite taste but the veggie was way overcooked to the point where it was a little soggy. Personally, I like a little bit more with a snap and crunch when I bite into it. Overall, a solid 5 star experience with the exception of the broccolini. Highly recommended for a special occasion if you’re looking for something great in the South Shore.

Had dinner here on Mother’s Day. Have been here many times before and always enjoyed it. Really nice setting yesterday on a beautiful day. Got there a little early and we waited at the bar. From that point on the servers were very friendly and professional. The table was in a smaller and very comfortable dining area. Quiet and relaxed Liver and onion and calamari appetizers disappeared quickly. The five of us each had a different entrée and everyone was very happy with their choice. My short rib meatball dinner was outstanding Great experience
